  1. I'm pretty sure you're talking about Static Field, not Synaptic Overload. Anyway, Static Field is a pseudopet that continuously reapplies the Sleep in its AoE, while Flash Freeze is just a one-shot attack from the caster directly to the targets. While the sleep reapplying from Flash Freeze over a duration would be nice, I'm not sure it's possible to achieve without some entity constantly casting a sleep effect on the targets. I have a feeling that if you program in a Sleep-Over-Time effect into a power, the entire effect is going to be cancelled when the target takes damage, rather than just any currently-applied stacks of sleep.
  2. No such thing as Superior Overwhelming Force.
  3. Hm, but the on-the-fly notoriety menu is a popmenu, which means it's just using slash commands to change the different difficulty settings. What happens if you type the command for team size out and pass it a 0? Would that set your difficulty to x0?
  4. The Oil Slick that you can attack to light the patch and the actual oil patch that knocks enemies down are separate, discrete entities, yes? And the latter hits all enemies within its area of effect, while the former IS an enemy that's always located inside that area of effect, so why doesn't the latter affect the former? Follow up question, why doesn't putting a Fire or Energy damage proc in Oil Slick Arrow give it a chance to light itself
  5. And you took Whirlwind! Ew!
  6. So this is basically an RP request, yeah? But Crab Spiders have the backpack surgically implanted, and it can't just be taken off. So from an RP perspective, it doesn't really make sense to allow this.
  7. You're forgetting about Penny Preston!
  8. Manticore’s teleport arrow is not an example of Positron sharing or teaching Manticore how to use any of his own powers. That’s just Manticore getting his own incarnate powers. And incarnate powers unlock starting at 50, while APPs are available from 35.
  9. I’m not sure how you think that should work? There are examples of incarnates sharing power in the game, but they are: 1.) Tyrant, whose power sharing only improves the existing abilities of his subjects. 2.) Lord Recluse, whose attempts created the Arachnoids, and the results there have only the most superficial resemblance to the source character’s abilities. There’s nothing I know of in the lore that suggests that an incarnate with, for example, electricity powers can use the Well to give other people electricity powers. At least, not without dying first or losing their own powers.
  10. I think it's kind of funny that you list these two as examples of arcs you'd like to be cut in half when the reason they're exclusive to Ouroboros in the first place is because they're too long and were replaced with TFs less than half as long.
  11. Eh, I like it. It's flavor. Just spawn a 100% debt protection thingy alongside the Phalanx and it's fine, assuming that's not already there.
  12. Doesn't help you if you want to drive the car.
  13. Having a working motorcycle doesn't fix a broken car in the same garage.
  14. They tried this early in CoH beta but the hostages kept singing Hey Jude by the Beatles and the devs couldn't get them to stop, so they had to scrap the whole feature to avoid expensive lawsuits.
  15. They pretty much had it down from Issue 1, but there was a whole lotta content in Issue 0.
  16. Imagine needing to be right so badly that you behave like this in a thread where you fundamentally agree with the OP and most of the other posters.
  17. Most of them don't have access to a power source that could be shared like the patrons do.
  18. Mission accept text for Rise to Power part 3, from Reese: "Ahem. If you past Warrant," should read "If you get past Warrant,"
  19. Isn't */Plant's absorb ~60 at level 50? I know */Ice's is.
  20. Step 1: Activate Fly, or any flight power with low air control Step 2: Fly close to the ground, and activate Ice Patch near a ledge so that your momentum carries you over the edge of the ledge, such that you are no longer close enough to the ground to activate Ice Patch Step 3: Ice Patch is now buffered. It will be summoned automatically the next time you are close enough to the ground, without having to spend endurance or sit through the activation time.
  21. Some might say your idea goes too far, but I say it doesn't go too far enough.
  22. 2 wouldn't work. Some maps you proceed further in by going up, and some by going down. It wouldn't be consistent in indicating to players which way is forward or backward.
  23. The only people talking about their tactics in the mission are the people that, like you, are missing the point. The issue is that if you die, you can get caught in a completely unfair death loop. The issue is not that it’s possible to die in the first place.
  24. You sure wrote a lot of posts and words to miss the point. So you use Drain Psyche and Force of Nature to survive on your Blaster? Cool. Too bad you can't use Drain Psyche or Force of Nature while you're animation locked standing up. Because that's the actual issue with this mission. There's literally nothing you can do. The enemies kill you while your character is not under your control. The Michael Jordan of CoH would have no better chance of escaping the death loop than a can of soda that fell on your keyboard and is holding down a few random keys. The only way it could be more unfair is if it killed you on the character select screen.
