  1. Even with those numbers, it's not likely to go off more than once an AV fight, if that. It just seems less useful overall than the purple triangles dropping. Great, but with Controller ST holds it's trivially easy with minimal enhancement to stack them 3 times for mag 9 Hold. With only 6 controllers, that's mag 54, which means AV held 100% of the time. And that's with no Overpowers. With maximum enhancement one Controller can stack up as many as 10 stacks on one even-level target at 50.
  2. I asked Matt Miller himself at a con if Detective Miller was in any way based on him and he swore up and down that he's 100% Barney Miller.
  3. This seems completely useless. A 1-in-125 chance of it happening on an AV? You can already hold an AV 1/3rd-1/4th of the time while the triangles are down, but this feature you could run an entire LRSF without experiencing it once. Edit: And a 1-in-10 chance of it happening on a Boss, even though a regular Overpower already holds a boss? What's the point of that?

  5. I'm pretty sure even Paragon Studios didn't know what the rest of the slots were gonna be. One of the devs said there were gonna be "patch" powers, like Tar Patch or Ice Slick, but incarnate level, but beyond that the other slots were probably no more developed than ideas on a whiteboard.
  6. I still think the FX for the laser blasts used by the Paragon Police robots and power armor would work better for the pool's attacks. For Force Barrier, I'd like to see that energy barrier that the Praetorian police show when they get hit repurposed into a looping FX.
  7. It's actually weaker than similar heals like Heal Other or Cauterize, presumably because it also gives Toxic resist. Which presumably also means it can't benefit from +Special effects like those powers, either.
  8. The slider is a standard part of the power window, it doesn't know or care what level the power it's showing you is available at. As for 2, they could, but they won't. Just keeping the powers you got 5 levels above your exemplared level made it much easier already.
  9. That's because they made the attacks faster without changing the damage. They didn't make fast powers weaker because they were fast.
  10. Phantom Army is too potent a control power for something like this; with their taunt and threat level, they're extremely efficient at grabbing enemy aggro and can control up to 51 enemies at a time. It's true that soloing on Illusion is slow, but reducing the recharge on PA to help this would ripple out and have repercussions on the balance of the overall set.

  13. Back in the beforetimes, in the good times, Invulnerability glowed with all the colors of the rainbow. It was bright, and beautiful. But then the cave dwellers, the haters of beauty, cried that they did not want to shine like a glorious beacon, and the stewards of our city appeased them. Temp Invulnerability no longer radiated light, Unyielding was dimmed and its spinning wall of light diminished. And thus the world itself was darkened. Bring back those glimmering visions of wonder as options for those powers! I want to sparkle again!
  14. You say that now, but before you know it you need Manticore for Task Force Commander and you don't really feel like forming a team for it...
  15. I don't think it'd be any different from the free purple recipe you get for doing Market Crash, and running that TF is much lower-hanging fruit than any of these badges.
  16. They’re “Epic” because they let you get powers your archetype doesn’t usually get (ranged attacks on melee ATs, armors on squishies, etc.), not because they’re powerful.

  18. I’m all for making the shared powers between Thugs and Dual Pistols also share animation options.
  19. Well, you could maybe move the Kinetic Combat slots from Boxing to Shocking Grasp, then find two more slots from somewhere else and put a couple +5’d Unbreakable Contraints in there. No Lockdown Proc that way, but with how fast SG recharges the hold proc is pretty unreliable anyway.
  20. Power Sink is indeed pretty useless in the world of Blaster sustains. Unless you want a Sapper build, then it's invaluable. Thunder Strike is skippable; it will probably get buffed to be faster some day, but until that day, yeah, it's very slow, and the AoE knockback is pretty annoying. Shocking Grasp is quite nice, IMO. Slotted up it can easily permahold a boss, and let you get in some sweet hits with Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch at minor risk. Plus, as an electric attack it fits the theme with the Lockdown proc's graphics.
