  1. Stackable Debuffs are tricky. Stacking the same type of debuff with your secondary could be even more so. This was the reason I shied away from debuffs and leaned more towards Irradiated and an extra ST Hold. It would give the set a unique and helpful feel. You could also add a targeted AoE where it causes mobs to randomly stop and throw up, much like toxic gas. That would give the set even more of a unique feel.
  2. It grants more merits than the shorter TF's. So changing the kill alls to "stealth, click and not kill a thing" missions will also cause merit gains to diminish. I would be more willing to make these missions in the same zone than I would be willing to change the dynamics of the missions. Not to mention, a lot of players use TF's to level as well as getting their progress to the TFC Accolade. Changing the dynamics of the missions will only further hinder this progress. It's already a problem to people leveling when players skip everything they can, I wouldn't want to see it get any worse. Part of the problem is people who PL to 50, then try to run all the TF's on easy mode while skipping everything they can that isn't a kill all, verses people who play the game to 50 and they run TF's as they level, creates friction between both types of players. IMO there is already enough conflict there, I don't want to see it get any worse. However, putting these missions together in the same zone makes a lot more sense and doesn't contribute to further unsettling between the speed runners and the levelers.
  3. Yeah, my Ice Blaster utilizes this method often, it doesn't last long though since it is on a Blaster. I also use this method using a Grav/Time Troller, which was what gave me the idea.
  4. Irradiated debuff. I couldn't remember the name of it, thank you.
  5. That would be a difficult question to answer, since if coupled with /Rad, would make it OP as all get out. However, I was thinking something along the lines of what /Rad does for Blasters if a hold is applied in combination with the Immob. I forget the name of the debuff off hand. It would also be interesting if the set was given two single target holds, for locking down bosses instantly instead of having to wait for the ST hold to recharge. Make one hold have twice the recharge time as the primary hold. I think these two ideas could give the set a unique feel.
  6. I dont wish to get into too much details here, but would love to see a Rad Contolling set.
  7. I would think anything /Rad or Rad/ (With Rad being the debuff set) would be enough. Rad is so insanely powerful.
  8. It might be worth it too. 😄
  9. Shhh, you are going to get my eye candy nerfed from the game...
  10. Isn't the foot stomp animation the default? I know mine was...on both my Brute and my Tank.
  11. Trust me, I have said, "Let's just rock with whatever we get" several times. Like I said, it's rare when I try to build well rounded teams. Most of the time I rock with whatever. When I do try to build well rounded teams, it's mostly because of the nostalgia I get when I see a team with a Controller, a couple Defenders, a couple Blasters, a Scrapper and a Tank. It's a lot of fun for me. As said before, has nothing to do with "need."
  12. I never have requested specific roles...not normally. It's rare. But I don't think that players who do are bad. That's a badly generalized assumption. I have no issues joining teams who are looking for specific roles. I don't recall them ever being bad teams any more than I experience bad teams on any other aspect of the game. That's just from my perspective.
  13. Then you are playing the wrong game, lol. All kidding aside, this game has not been like that since IOs came out. Even then it was fairly easy. I just *try* to keep in mind, this game was never my favorite because of the difficulty, it is my favorite because it promotes teaming like no other, the friendly players and, POWAH!!!!
  14. The introduction of the Freak sappers. They were never needed. Freak were one of the few mobs that gave you a breather from the difficult mobs, now Freaks have sappers too. Freaks went from my favorite to one of the most loathed. Next thing you know they will add sappers to Council...
  15. This I feel is the primary issue. Mobs melting before you can even pull off a long animated AoE. Even worse as you have mentioned, the mobs are destroyed before you can even cast your primary debuff. This IMHO is the primary and root foundation for the cause of threads popping up like this one.
  16. I picked up Surveillance on my Blaster and scoped a ton of them out. All of them have zero buffs running except for an accuracy bonus, at 1.15x with a To Hit Bonus of 50%. Perception is at 50 ft. No other buffs at all, with exception to resistance, 33% for energy and Cold, with a -20% resist to Negative and Psionic. They also get a 10% To Hit Resist. So why they are seeing Invis + Stealth IO is beyond me. You have to have Superior Invis or better for them to not be able to see you...and based on this information put together, I can only come to the conclusion that this is a bug specific to Cabal.
  17. Meh, I don't see it that way. Sometimes players, especially like myself prefer a well rounded team. Has nothing to do with what we need. I guess each will look in to it what they will, but I simply don't agree.
  18. I can well enough imagine the facepalming there, heh. I don't see it as an epidemic or anything, IMO the game could continue as is and be just fine...however, games constantly change, and if it's going to change I would like to see it change for the better. I simply don't want to see classes become alienated in the future. Like I said, it's not much of an issue now (not that it has never been an issue, just saying not much of one) I just would like to see the game go in a direction that makes all classes equally desired...if that is even possible. At this point we get in to balancing...and as we all know, balancing in an MMO has always been the most tricky thing to do. CoH felt way more balanced back in the day, but even so, it still remains the most balanced MMO I have ever played even as it stands today. So having said that, I just hope it stays that way, or even more so.
  19. Ah okay, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
  20. Ah okay, I see now. I do agree.
  21. Huh? I think you have read something way wrong, that's not what I said...not even close to what I said.
  22. Experience. People aren't making these observations up.
  23. Not how I meant it, what I am saying is that as of right now, this could not be further from the truth.
  24. Mainly, because if it can be done with relative ease, people will have no reason to purposely look for Healers or Trollers. As it stands now, when I currently build teams for TF or the likes, I don't even bother checking people's classes because I have no real reason to. This was not the case at one time. It's clear content in this game is too easy from what I can see. So I tossed out the idea of creating more challenging end game content as a slight suggestion....it kind of spiraled from there.
