  1. Same: Rathstar's arch-enemy is Wrathstar, an alternate version from a parallel universe. Of course he has a van dyke goatee and a facial scar, as required by evil-twin law. OG Rathstar versus OG Wrathstar, below.
  2. The technical term is "wife".
  3. Oooh! I like that! Challenge accepted?
  4. I was born and raised on the east coast (USA), but moved to the midwest a couple of decades ago. The first week I was here, I went to the grocery store and the cashier asked me: "Do you want your pop in a sack?" I replied: "No, but I do want my soda in a bag." (What does my father have to do with this?)
  5. No, I want Pistols and Sword Control! 😆
  6. Crap, now I gotta roll up a Stone/MA Tanker.
  7. Can confirm.
  8. For me, he teleported in from the 1920s and did the Charleston.
  9. NEVAR!
  10. I couldn't help myself: meet Et Tu, Brute (on Torchbearer).
  11. I discovered a Windows app called Caffeine, which presses the F15 key every 59 seconds to keep the computer from going to sleep. I discovered that I can /bind F15 to trigger powers with Caffeine, even though I can't actually press the F15 key manually. If I start Caffeine before launching CoH, the CoH client will receive and process the automated F15 keypresses from Caffeine while I play. You can configure Caffeine to work with any key combination using command line parameters. I also recommend using the -keypress parameter to actually simulate a full keypress, rather than just a key "touch" (the default option to keep the sleep settings "awake").
  12. What lag?
  13. Um, actually... even Blasters have identity crises, i.e.: ranged DPS versus blappers. The identity crisis is actually "baked in" to the AT itself, with most secondaries including melee attacks. It's been said more than once that Blasters are a "damage" class, not a "ranged damage" class, and that anyone who plays a Blaster as ranged-only isn't really playing a Blaster properly. Guilty as charged: I prefer my Blasters ranged-only, and it's also one of the reasons why I like Sentinels, too. As a Blaster, I have to decide to skip those pesky melee powers to grab more mitigation from elsewhere, like power pools. But as a Sentinel, I'm free to be me -- ranged only primary, mitigation secondary. If Sentinel damage wasn't so anemic, I'd never play a Blaster. However, because Sentinel damage is so weak and difficult to improve, I end up playing Blasters with augmented mitigation, because it's easier to make a tanky Blaster than it is to make a blasty Sentinel.
  14. I replaced my desktop with a laptop for Christmas. HP Omen Laptop 15-DC1xxx. Intel Core i7-9750, 16 GB RAM, nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.
  15. You must be reading on your phone. It's visible in the computer browser, though. I've copy-pasted it here: @Rathstar Energy/Energy Blaster (50+3) on Everlasting Energy/Temporal Blaster (50+3) on Excelsior Energy/Willpower Sentinel (50+3) on Indomitable Energy/Energy Sentinel (50+1) on Torchbearer
  16. Poutine and back bacon for everyone, eh?
  17. My current fave is an Energy/Devices hover Blaster that's 100% pure ranged "stealth sniper". Beam Rifle should play very similarly, so I'd think that BR/Dev would be a great pair together.
  18. My current fave is Energy/Devices, which I play as a "ranged Stalker": sniping while hidden. See my sig below for my other favorites.
  19. You picked the wrong secondary for an all ranged build. Atomic is more suited to blapping than ranged.
  20. @Coyotedancer covered it mostly. New content for lower levels would be nice, but even so, it would get old eventually. And I'm not sure that spending resources on creating new content for lower levels is really a priority, as the I think any new content should be for higher levels (or scaled for all levels), to address the lack of "end-game" in CoH. The pending changes to SO drops at lower levels and the batch upgrade feature will help a little, because part of the reason I skip is to break through the TO/DO barrier at 22. But I think the real root cause is that I don't like soloing the lower levels. If I have someone to team with consistently, I'll play through the lower levels. My SG mates occasionally come up with "theme team" ideas, and we'll create new alts to play those. But many of my SG mates have stopped playing CoH recently, because they got bored of it. So I have to find new folks to team with regularly, and just haven't gotten around to doing that yet.
  21. Same here. I *hate* the combat mechanics of CO, including the block.
