  1. *Searches for Yomo with full trays of . . . stuff . . .*
  2. Yeah, that was me. But I think BillZ got what I was saying when he said: Without_Pause gets it too: Because tankers are tougher and have bigger AoEs, they can run at higher difficulty levels before other ATs using similar power sets. They will almost never be able to compete with stalkers and scrappers on raw damage, especially single target damage. But on an SO build they can stay in the fight longer, safer, and doing more AoE and whittling the critters away. And my offer stands: If anyone wants to run a side by side test of an SO tank against an SO scrapper or stalker, I just need to coordinate a where and when.
  3. Here's a link to my thread where I leveled a Rad/DM tank to 50 on SOs. That's what I am basing my comments on. I still have the SO only build, although I made a premium build for the second one. If Peregrine or anyone wants to test my tank against any other SO Only brute, scrapper, or stalker at whatever level (via ouro), jest let me know and we can give it a try. I'd be interested in the results.
  4. If most of your characters are either SO or level 25 IOs, then yes, we are playing a different game. I stand by my statement. Your experience may be different than mine.
  5. That used to be true, but I think the recent upgrades to damage and AoE targets makes it a much better ride. The tank may not be able to take out single targets as quickly, but I'll venture to say that it can handle and dispatch larger groups earlier and faster than other melees -- ON SO's ONLY. Once you figure in scrapper and stalker ATOs it's game over in terms of clear speeds and damage.
  6. I recently leveled a rad/dark melee tank on SOs only and it was pretty smooth. Once you get Beta Decay, that helps tremendously with your accuracy and recharge as well as stacking -tohit buffs with your dark attacks. Two self heals, bonus regen and recovery, absorb, and decent resists.
  7. I have been told that the team occasionally subcontracted or hired a team to handle a discreet project (e.g. arena, /ah, etc.). If you are crunched for time you want to get the code to work and then worry about documenting later . . . and later never comes because the project is over and you are out the door. And now the long-haul devs are stuck with what you did.
  8. Hey! Keep your boots away from me!
  9. Maybe I am being dense, but that doesn't make sense to me. You can always go to Windows Settings to add or delete a program and then go to MidsReborn.com to download it again. I assume other OS's have similar capabilities.
  10. Claiming a single inspiration, or even a few to get over a difficult hump is probably not a big deal. But being able to have an essentially unlimited supply of the very best Super-duper inspirations, such that one can solo the Ms. Liberty TF in 30 minutes? . . . Yeah, that sounds broken to me. I wouldn't want to lose the ability to claim a couple of inspirations from e-mails now and then and I really don't care if Elmyder or anyone else can solo Hamidon, or whatever, by using e-mailed inspirations. But I have to admit that being able to do that is a little wacky.
  11. I think you should call him TIME TO ROCK! And look more like this:
  12. I had a similar issue, though not as severe. All my enhancement slots were moved to the left by about one slot. I tried to figure out a way to fix it and couldn't. Ultimately I went to the Mids Discord and was advised to unintstall and reinstall and that worked. Even better, it took less then a couple of minutes -- not painful at all.
  13. [Farsight] and [Mind Link] would be good candidates as well. Back to the OP, I think there are many ATs and combos that can solo Recluse and Ms. Liberty depending on how you play them. But I agree with others that it's probably not worth the hassle or expense of making something just to get HOs solo. Just listen for others running those, ASF, and Hammy raids and/or start your own. Protip: If you are going to run them, try to run them back to back and include the ASF without the extreme challenge levels. You should be able to get 3 HOs in 60-90 minutes. Finally, regarding inspirations, I think that the standard 20 or less you can carry are fine and that e-mail is an exploit that doesn't need to be fixed. I'm not competing with anyone but the game and myself (as opposed to PvPers or Speed Runners) and while I generally don't use e-mail inspirations, I have definitely used them on several occasions to get a rez or whatever was needed to finish a mission after hitting a hard spot.
  14. Attuned IOs can convert within the entire range of that specific set, so you have a lot more possible results. If you are trying to get attuned Basilisk to slot I would suggest straight up buying it from /AH as attuned. If you are looking to convert to Basilisk to sell, I would buy non-attuned, low-level holds or Basilisk recipes. You certainly can convert attuned pieces, but be prepared for a lot more clicks and converters expended if you are going for a specific set. The better option when converting attuneds, in my opinion, is to buy the cheapest ones you can find and convert to anything worth selling, not just a specific item.
  15. When you are wrong, and admit you are wrong, you become right!
  16. Shuriken Blast! Shuriken Blast!! SHURIKEN BLAST!!!
  17. Why are we talking about this now then?
  18. Putrescence. Great word.
  19. I already have an SSD with Windows and some frequently used programs. The HDD mostly has documents and photos.
  20. I appreciate the responses. I learn new things and ponder the options. The HDD mainly has work documents and they do frequently get edited as drafts and older, complete documents used as templates sometimes. But more than half are PDFs, photos, videos, etc. that will never change. All of the work stuff is automatically backed up to Dropbox in the cloud. Since it is an older computer, I don't want to put too much into it, as I expect I will be buying a new system within a year or two. Like with cars, I tend to use computers until they just about die of old age. I also got a free used Seagate 2 TB internal HD. I guess I'll plug that one in, but I suspect that it may also be old and decrepit.
  21. I've got about 500 GB used up. Looks like 1 TB SSD is about 2 times as much for half the space of the 2 TB HD. Money isn't the issue, but that seems like a bad trade off at face value. But if it's that much faster maybe it's worth it.
  22. I have a 5 year old PC that has a 2 TB hard drive on it's last legs that has mainly work files that are backed up. I'm looking to replace it and seeking recommendations. Should I just get another 2 TB HD -- like a Seagate Barracuda for under $50? Something bigger or smaller? An SSD instead? Any suggestions?
