  2. One thing stands out about old Redside live. You join a PUG and load into a mission. If you can handle the first group you will be okay. Some tricky areas of the map you may need strategy to pull and the last fight will include a boss/EB/AV. But if you could handle the first group you would prob be okay. If your team is struggling on that first fight just bail. Villains gotta be careful. The modern game is just more lopsided. Either we steamroll everything or you get an hour into a 2-4 star and just get stuck.
  3. Things I will run anytime they are advertised is the gold standard. In no particular order: ITF Virgil Tarikoss Market Crash TinPex Silver, they are good. But I need to be in the mood: LGTF, LRSF, Ms Lib, Speed Aeon, any Inc Trial Bronze; I will jump on one if the server seems light in jumping on and I am bored; Barracuda or Khan, Yin, Katie or Moonpiefire Toilet bowl ring; Synapse, any Shadow Shard.

  5. I know nothing about the coding. So, as usual, I speak out of ignorance. But with large base parts you can walk around inside them. (once you figure how) and scaling is easy in the game, more or less. It seems all parts are hollow, just a thin sheen of art viewable from one side. So, the code must be creating a full 3D rotatable "object" (bunch of faces) and that is the base / costume part. You can see this in clipping etc.

  7. I do not Tank. I ran a Brute for years. Redside. Brutes job (Redside) was to take the Alpha then have fun. If you wanted anything else go back to Fing blue. Now I have created many Tanks. Meh. But this Winter season I slow levelled a Ice/Ice Tank for theme. Never ran those sets before. Mein Gott! This is TANKING. Just wander into a room, taunt those farthest away and lazily activate powers. When most are cleared wander to the next big spawn. The dregs will follow you. Every enemy hates Ice. It's like Mind Control. They HAVE to be near you. NEED to be near you. LOVE to be near you. It is taking the Alpha Beta Gamma Delta and looking for more greek letters. Ice Ice Baby. When you want all the agro.

  10. Yes, having no endurance really slowed the game and gave a stumbling block to the players. Now that I think about it if the Devs had simply removed inherent fitness they would never even have had to make starred ITF and Aeons. Saves so much work.

  12. they have made theings more difficult. In the starred Aeon and ITF. But those tactics (real old school, props) dont work a ton in the new content. The writers accounted for our standard closed shield formation and F-ed with us quite a bit. Sometimes it works well....othertimes....anything but lolzerg
  13. Yes and no. Leapfrog Brute/Tank ROFLSTOMP teams got a huge boost when Redside came out. Brutes NEEDED (no longer sigh) to grab agro to do damage. Two Brutes on a team would (when played well) take turns cannonballing into the next big group. Thats the Yes. As agro mgt team the Tanks/Brutes need to not abandon an area until it is effectively done. That does not mean mopping the floors but it does mean watching the enemies/teammates/map and making tactical decisions on where to be, when to stay or go. That can be the No

Like, just take every NASCAR vehicle and give them the same motor. Not simplifying. Actually making it more complicated. RIGHT?

  23. never said it would defeat anything. it would. (oh gawd here we go again) simplify it. Lets not get all complicated in this back and forth. You are stating your changes to Toggles would not simplify them. I am saying you are incorrect. That is the whole Zimtschnecken. Number of other factors. These mostly deal with character building. Very complicated, you might not be interested. But the number of powers you have of a certain type many times defines the build due to the enhancers you can slap on. As you streamline you are going to kill some builds without a second thought to the work the players have put in. I could go on. You will no doubt ask me to go on. Look. Again. You have stated multiple times you are not for simplifying toggles and a few other areas of the game. Yet you are obviously advocating doing so. This was fun last night. Now you are starting to be like that 10 pd Yorkie that wants to bite ankles. Step off.
