  1. and a few of my beloved dark cones could use some simple Knockdown fixes...
  2. driving a car in traffic is not that difficult. now go look at any busy street. watch the choices people make....

    Nosferatu

indeed, an incredible effort by cast and crew. and i want to see those twihard fans in the theatres!
  4. WoW has a ton of this stuff. decades worth. and maybe 30% actually makes any sense in the context of the situation, 70% is just forced or unnecessary. but only about 1% of it is "cool" most of it is "have you practiced leaping through the air, turning, and activating a power we will tell you about mid flight?" the stuff that we have like this, on Barracuda, The Really Hard Way, Cathedral of Pain, is just a dice shoot whether the team will measure up. After you have invested time and effort to be there for badge/reward/power.
  5. good luck. base code is so wonky I am pretty sure only insane people are comfortable working in that environment. Also, I feel complicated bases have the possibility of collapsing an entire server into a wormhole at any second....
  6. in my opinion this WILL NOT fix this problem (for most situations) because it is not the "color" that is wrong. It is the "reflective properties" of how they made the material underneath. Basically, there are a few different types of textures for costumes. They will almost NEVER match to a piece of a different texture and reflective quality. If I made a painting on a beautiful white canvas, then decided to "build out" from the canvas with random wood/cloth/candy bar wrappers, fur... then as I moved the paint from the canvas to the different material the color will not match. Nor (even with a "master" color mixer on hand will you EVER get the color to match. It is going to always look "off" So.... you need to relax into that and make design choices based on it, or stick to the original canvas type.

    Nosferatu

I enjoyed it quite a lot! Spoiler alert. Do not read past this --------------------------- I thought the film truly captured the original vision. It is my belief that almost every aspect of the film echoed the time, style, and themes of "Nosferatu." Which, in my mind, might have opened the work to some criticism. I am no Karen, nor do I jog under the banner of political correctness. You folks mostly know me. Yet, in my opinion, the film echoed the nineteenth century's attitudes toward women slightly too well. Yes! to capturing that time on film accurately. Perhaps? No? to actually echoing the logic in the film somewhat. It seemed to me (just from 1 viewing, YMMV) that it could be that Ellen Hutter's "coming of age" was the cause of this evil released into the world. And from the film's themes that could easily be taken to mean her sexuality ( just blatantly itself, and also it's threat to male patriarchy ) was to blame for her reaching out to ... something not good. Also, I found the final act treatment quite good, but also ... wanting. It would have been better (in my mind) if it was more explicitly stated how the final trap was sprung and that Ellen knew exactly what she was doing and the cost. It worked, but in my mind it could have been tuned to quite a better pitch for much more resonance. These are my thoughts only. I have not read any reviews and have only watched the piece once. So far...
  8. now you are just getting flirty that would be epic!
  9. you're forgiven. i did not read most of it. i did zero in on the fact you are moderately against the option. i thank you for your honest opinion. you do realize that the KB-->KD thing is already in the game? of course you do. and that players already hate Knockback? hmmm mmm. ok, just some thoughts.
  10. she didn't take crap from nobody either....
  11. hear me out. Homecoming offers 1000 character slots. per server. we brought in a small (but dedicated) group to Homecoming. We made them feel welcome. on their world, their terms. maybe, just maybe, some will make toons on high pop servers. is there a reason we need to FORCE them to do it?
  12. Victory is Homecoming. pretty sure that was a stalemate move.
  13. maybe you are sincere. but i find posts like this, and the one you quoted, disingenuous. i want an energy blaster, with that "look" and those powers. not Rad blast, with different powers and an entirely different "look" recolored blue and red. i just do not want knockback, and i do not want to pay a 1 slot tax on every power. but my concept gets the "tough crap" treatment, whereas your two concepts are apparently "sacred" even though the change i suggested would affect you.... not in the damn least.
  14. Cold Dom gets Benumb and Heat Loss. These are VERY powerful and sought after by teams/leaguers doing upper end content. They will help you clear tough bosses satisfactorily.
  15. ehhh..... meh. i have trained in art. painting and such. don't worry, i suck and do not inflict my "projects" on the masses. this is nice... but.... meh. the actual differences will be minimal. if we were using a 8 color box of crayons and moving to an "infinite" box, that would be something. but we are using closer to a 64 or larger. and the more you have the less difference iy makes.
  16. being able to defeat foes is why most people game. okay, most introverts. there are costume contests, social groups, yada yada. but.... it is a murder hobos world. yes, knockback is really cool. AND almost always makes everyone's life (including the user) much more difficult. have falling damage (how far knocked back = KBxrange extra damage) then we can talk. otherwise it is a true crap mitigation tactic that looks cool. yes, i know i am not converting that Dev to my way of thinking. but i do not try to convince idiots. waste of my damn time. knockback is bad, m'kay? it slows the game down AND reduces the fun of anyone who is not doing the knockback. everyone knows it. will i convince someone with the "truth and justice" on their side (and the power gripped tightly in a sweaty fist) no. will not stop me from pointing out the stupidity of it all from time to time.
  17. i got Snarky. now if i only had time to game...sigh lol
  18. I thought so. Which means the large square portion is probably a “piece” of map that is used, however rarely, for certain missions. As we know most of the caves and interiors are not whole maps. They are built lego style from bits the devs have on a shelf.
  19. Here is the thing. Some, never all, of the players on those “low pop” servers…. Love it. It is no doubt impossible. As our team up app is, in my opinion, one of the worst out there. But if we could queue up for teams cross server that would be a decent solution. WoW does this for low pop shards. It works moderately well. Of course then we would need a way to read who is queuing for what otherwise it would sputter and falter. And, of course, a cross server global channel to organize…. Well, that was a nice 5 min daydream 😆
  20. This adds players from another platform that was independent from homecoming. reading is fundamental. ….. you did not read this did you?
  21. It is the first response to this thread. But, as i so eloquently pointed out, the reasons are basically 1) i like KB 2) people shouldnt want to kill 3) no one is happy anyways. It is a Dev post worthy of a 14 year old on a pepsi buzz. 🐝
