Defeat 25 old school CoT from time capsule ambushes for Gardener badge

Defeat 25 old school Ritki from time capsule ambushes for Zeta Reticulan badge

 

Plus the Reunited badge for logging in during the event

 

New Badge total is now 1613 barring any as yet undiscovered badges

 

Anniversary tokens can be placed in the Auction House ore redeemed at Luna in Ouro/Echo Plaza for prizes

Sigh. Took 118 capsules to get all the badges. Worse than the Winter event.

 

I wish there was a way to increase the spawn rate of CoT and Rikti.

They did increase the spawn rate of those.   And Winter Event took 200 to get the Toy Collector badge.

 

I got the three badges after 52 capsules, though if I want all the powers, I'll need to open up at most 24 more capsules.   (Well, looks like 18, since no use buying the temp powers that only last two weeks.   Mini Pets look perma though.)

 

Now to debate if my Noir character is going to collect enough Tokens to keep buying Retro vision.

Took me 77 solo and it was enough to also buy everything I could that I didn't get directly from glowies, as well. Man, I fell right back into my present clicking routine from back in the day. I had the best little route that perfectly timed the respawn and it seems to be the same spawn points now.

Started at 10:28 local time, completed the event at 11:20 (all badge drops and unique temporary powers, excluding temporary costumes). A total of 98 Anniversary Tokens were collected.

If you think that's bad, imagine having a full tray of inspirations then doing the time capsule run, only to remember at the end that the event grants unique inspirations 🤦‍♂️

I'll wager it's an approximate 85 to 95 Time Capsules for all rewards, lows in the 50s, highs in the 120s.

Much better than the original test drop rates.

They spawn in the same place as the Xmas presents; I did my old Steel Cownyon runs from way back on Live and got all 3 badges done in about 40 minutes, and 120 or so cowpsules.

I just found out about these badges today.

 

Just in case you're wondering how to find said time capsules, you can simply use the maps for the presents during the Winter Event.

Please note that some time capsules do not appear in these map locations.  If you can't find it, just move on.  Redside is better for collecting because of the lower population.

 

Edit: 65 total time capsules opened to get the badges.  The rest of the rewards were not important to me, although I collected nearly a dozen costumes, both bats, and two of the "vision" powers.  I deleted everything but the bats.

There was probably someone else in the zone collecting capsules, and you just happened upon some locations that had not respawned yet. Those maps on the wiki are the same maps in the mod I linked earlier.

 

EDIT to add that it took me 68 capsules to get the two defeat badges, but I did happen upon a couple of Rikti spawns that someone left. Were it not for those, it would have taken me at least a few more capsules.

Just adding my data to the set: 86 capsules on one badger, 50 on another for all 3 badges

65 Capsules for me to get all 3 badges, both vision options, both bats and 6 costumes. Did all mine running circles around Founder's Falls.

67 for me for the badges, also got enough of the tokens to buy anything I didn't have and a few spares to sell.
