There are supergroups out there recruiting. Sometimes the announce it in-game. Sometimes their posts are buried here in the forums ... probably under the various shards.

 

Myself, I PuG. When I don't see a team to join or don't feel like recruiting, there is plenty of other stuff for me to do in THE CITY.

But then, I have had error messages like this in the past ...

The Homecoming population today is about what it was three years ago.  It's just more divided.  Excelsior's and Everlasting's populations are about the same.  Amusingly, what seems to have happened is that the populations of the three lower populated shards three years ago (Torchbearer, Indomitable, and Reunion), seem to have split a bit after Victory was added, so the three lower populated shards three years ago now have a smaller population, but Victory makes up for it.  The three lower populated shards became the four lower populated shards, but with the same total population.

 

But no, overall the population is about the same as it was three years ago.

Not sure mornings are the greatest indicator, in any case. Especially weekday mornings.
I'm sure there are some retirees playing CoH, and I may be one soon, but lots of folks still working for the man.

 

Honestly that is what I do. I take long breaks from the game. I will come in and around when I have a goal or an idea on what I want to do. Once the itch is fulfilled I will probably take a break from it. I learned my lesson from other games that I played too much (and CoH) during the COVID years that I can have too much of something and grow to bore or loathe it. So I need time to take time away from it to keep it fresh.

   However, please note that while the OP may have been posting variables of the same thing over and over again, it's no reason (in my peaceful considerate mine) to be "mean" with your replies. Because as a old buddhist master once told me "It always says more about you, then them".  Of course he was a fellow stoner like me from way back when, so please disregard as you wish lol. 😁

I don't get the dump party on OP. it is a bit of an odd post (especially if he repeatedly does this) but I am guessing he is a passionate CoX person. Maybe it's his way of expressing concern about this game's population dropping and the lights going out. I don't know. Sometimes it's tough to clearly express yourself. Some folks think they may become vulnerable and open themselves up to attacks on their actual feelings...who knows.

 

Anyway, I like HC. I asked to help but was rejected. All I can do is my part and I think OP is kinda trying to do the same by raising concern about population decrease?

   With all the medical stuff I am dealing with, and my Disability, I have more than come to realize that the only thing that really matters is love. Everything else is just a distraction, which is why I love this community so much, and why you all are so great (even better than all other MMO's imho).
