  1. OK, "bug" is probably stretching it for this - more something that hasn't been undone, but - When Pocket D was opened and the Paragon Dance Party was shut down, a "bum" NPC was put by the N. Steel, IP and Talos doors. He basically spouts dialog if someone's near to the effect of "Yeah, they closed it, now leave me alone." The PDP was reopened on live, as I recall... but anyone going by and hearing the bum would be discouraged of even checking out the doors. It's really a *minor* thing, but could his dialog either be cut or replaced - possibly with some complaining about the ravers in the underground club or some such?
  2. No idea. If we had something like CIT, I could look... That said, I tend to *use* it (and have 100+ alts,) so probably under 1b.
  3. Well, they know the *badge* is there. How many ever tried the door? At least the bum next to the other three doors (N. Steel, Talos, Indy Port) no longer says "Yeah, it's closed, go away." (Which was one of the draws of the PDP *and* PD at one point - travel shortcuts.) Also, Pocket D's big draw is being faction neutral (plus, really, having an arena (though I don't know how much that's used) and the chalet. But part of the reason some RPers *don't* go there is the chat spam - too much to keep up with - and, really, Pocket D having a bit of a "reputation" (deserved or not) of being a place where you go to have embarrassing mistells with a catgirl. I'd hesitate to use Studio 55 as a comparison, since Goldside population, well... I could form a league of everyone Goldside (not that there's reason to) and still have room to invite 40 more people, most days. Edit: Actually, I was wrong. The bum doesn't say anything if you CLICK On him, but if you're nearby: So there's actual, active *discouragement* to try to go in and check it out and go to Pocket D instead. That should probably be changed.
  4. I get the whole "villains can't get to the PDP, so Pocket D is more active" bit. That said, I wouldn't mind an explore badge down there. In fact, put a badge by each of the entrances that can combine into Voltron... or maybe just an explore accolade.
  5. I almost want to say there should be a cost for it, but (as I recall, at least) there's not one for converting reward into hero merits or emps into... the other thing I can't remember the name of, so even if INF is treated differently with fees and such for other things, I think it'd be perfectly fair to have this just be a straightforward no-fee "storage salvage." Not that I'm at the point of needing it on any characters - my inf tends to get spent on yet another alt. 🙂
  6. I want to say it was tried and broke something, but I can't say I'm 100% (honestly, even 75%) on that memory. I wouldn't be *surprised* if a slot-move broke something... we've heard how the code is, after all! I wouldn't argue with it being implemented if it's at all feasable, though.
  7. Put the melee in the same position as the squishy. No mez protection. HOwever, he has to move into melee range to do anything. The squishy is attacking. Debuffing, putting holds or confuses or whatnot on the ink men. Debuffing them. Blinding them. Dropping their ToHit. Making them flop around on an ice patch. They get the advantage of attacking *first.* What is the melee doing? Stuck there not able to attack because they're mezzed and only have melee. So, sorry. Have to disagree. Melee gets status protection built in so they can do *anything at all.*
  8. I don't know when the last time I bought a catalyst was. I've got a ton of them....
  9. Honestly it's a bit.. cringey at points. I wouldn't say you've got a conclusion to look for, as other than a few mentions here and there it wasn't really started in game. (Like many other things - reference to the coralax/virtea, avilians, etc. in missions, more references - mostly redside - to the Blood of the Black Stream and Gadzul Oil, etc.) Personal note, I'm kind of glad we didn't get the Battalion as envisioned.
  10. But... that's already handled (at least in your example, and is more powerset than AT specific) by recharge. Which not only gets the power up faster, but can let it stack. Buffs already tend to last a good four minutes, and in a way had a "duration" boost back on live when they (at least ally-applied buffs) were made AOE. Everyone gets buffed at once for the same four minutes, everyone gets buffed again at the same time, nobody loses it. I'd also argue somewhat with it being a "new type" of enhancement, in some ways - most control enhancements such as hold, immob and fear already enhance the duration, not the strength, of the control. But that's mostly me being nitpicky. 🙂 I'm guessing you're looking at one that enhances nothing *but* the duration. I'm not really *against* it, mind. I just don't see it being quite as useful.
  11. I'm just shaking my head reading this. What, exactly, is a "non viable" build? Were all the builds (hundreds) I had on live where Sorcery didn't exist "not viable?" I don't think I have ROP on a single build - still consider them perfectly viable. They do their jobs, they can solo and team, and they're enjoyable. As far as the second bit... "Half the ATs in the game never have to worry about it." Well, they do but it's rarely stacked that high. And they have that protection because there's next to nothing they could do if they get mezzed before they reach melee range. The squishies tend to have control and range - chances to take out and/or debuff (and/or buff the rest of the team) before the enemy's given a *chance* to mez them. That's their mez protection. When this is brought up (not directed specifically at bradical) it seems to always be made to sound like the poor squishies (that are out of breakfrees, aren't permadom and don't have whatever power) don't get to do anything but stand there mezzed from the time they enter a mission door, and that's just not - and never has been - true.
  12. If it's not in announcements that it's in beta, no.
  13. Have you ever been in an MSR? Those questions kind of hint at "no" being the answer. (Or at best, you only play pullers.)
  14. So, when in an MSR, one of the common strategies to be sure you can *find* something to hit is to target through a pet - yours or someone else's. The reason, of course, is that with all the people, pets and effects, enemies just don't get drawn (and/or aren't targetable.) The problem is that those *pets* can run out of visible range - and so your targeting aid is gone. Yeah, you can hit tab like a crazy person and target something for a shot or two, but that doesn't guarantee you'll *find* something (even if it's there) for the same reason you were going through a pet in the first place. So: Suggestion. For (say) 100 V-merits, you can plant a targeting "tower." You don't *have* to use this on the MSR, of course - it's just not all that useful anywhere else I can think of. It doesn't grant +Per or +Tohit, it does have hit points and a life span (5-7 minutes, I'm thinking, but I'm not dead set on that.) All it does is target like a pet. You (and anyone else) can select it. It will target a valid target and switch every 2-3 seconds (so it's not stuck on, say, one of those Rikti that portal in but never show up or that you can't shoot because they're not "there" yet.) Range: From the center of the bowl, either halfway or all the way to the top of the ramps. To keep the servers from having to do too much, limit 1-2 at a time. I'm figuring purchasing these with V-merits is appropriate because the MSR's really the place they'd be most useful. Most everywhere else, you don't have the same number of players facing the same rush of enemies causing targeting issues.
  15. I play, and have played, quite a few Warshades. As mains, even. So I can say that no, they aren't. They get a temporary "pet," yes. Non permanent. Not even guaranteed, if you don't use the defeated enemy's body in time (which is harder during invasions, as they tend to vanish faster.) Controllers, doms and masterminds (ignoring Mind, who's the oddball here,) get permanent pets (with far more HP.) Some get temporary ones to go with them. They're meant to "be there," they're guaranteed to show up when you summon. Extracted Essences are short-lived, easily killable balls of fluff. (You can also have multiples out, unlike control set pets/pet groups and mastermind minions of each tier.)
  16. I drop in there on most characters. Temp invisibility (and 5 merits for the explores,) after all.
  17. If you're thinking of Siren's Call, I believe those were replaced (unless I'm remembering incorrectly.) Nope, here. Macskull verified (and I believe I looked) the listing's a legacy listing, and you can only get breakfrees from the vendor.
  18. Beta testing changes aside, I've seen this happen once. No idea what exactly triggered and combined to do this. I *want* to say I was on an Ice control character, and someone else did some KB. (It's been at least six months, so...) The result? The held enemy sliding around following the other character for several seconds. I'd never seen it before, have never seen it happen again.
  19. I don't know where adding that logo would fall. I mean, "technically doable," probably - but Cryptic exists as part of another company (or whatever their relationship is now,) so "legally able to add it to more stuff" might be a minefield (especially with HC's talks with NC.) Personally not against it, just that it might have some non-technical reasons to be difficult.
  20. I don't know. I'd say that's 100% context dependent. Walking up to someone on the street and asking? Yeah, rude. Talking to someone whose laundry is nearby and suddenly moving on its own? Completely reasonable to ask.
  21. Eh. Honestly, if *you're* going so far as to have your character die, it's up to you. Communicate it to others in your regular RP group if you have one, or SG or whatnot. If someone *else* is involved, they'd better ask me first. You tell me "I killed your character by XYZ!" without discussing it with me, I'll tell you what you can do with it. Don't really need a scale for it, IMO.
  22. ... are there numbers on that? I'm kind of curious, given pretty much any system in the last decade plus should be able to handle 64-bit... (Yes, I am wondering how many do and why. Like I said. I'm curious.)
