  1. Stalkers can stack, yes. Other than that, no, one will turn off the other. The only thing that won't (since it's not a "power," per se) is having a stealth IO in something plus stealth, and/or a granted invis (like from a SG buff station.) Stalkers have that because - well, AS. For the rest, generally the AI doesn't need much for you to be unnoticed until you're sitting right on them. I don't think allowing them to stack otherwise is *needed,* but I'm not really against it either. Is there something that's come up that leads to asking about it, or is it more a "huh, that's just weird to me?"
  2. Same, at least two a night on Everlasting. (Chaos United runs them.) And double-Hamis in between. I'll see others pop up to run them at other times, too. If it's not the server, maybe it's time of day? (Yes. Honestly curious when and where.)
  3. I'm *assuming* (I know) in part because PBs don't currently have access to equivalent powers (and they're kinda-sorta not thematic... on the flip side, the dwarf does have teleport.) That said, I kind of see White Dwarf as falling behind Dark slightly because Dark's heal is also a single target attack, while WD's is just... a heal. And the PBAOE does nothing to buff white dwarf. So... yeah.
  4. I agree. The only issue to me is kind of a followon - some of those require plaques *for* the badges, and those aren't exactly named, so it'd be hard to tell which of those you need.
  5. NO REMOVING THE QUANTUMS. Bad enough everything else has gotten nerfed or removed that used to challenge Kheldians. The Quantums are about the only thing left that actually makes it feel like the world is responding to *you* being there. Khelds are a story-driven AT (the "epic" in Epic AT.) You only see Void Hunters rarely now (I used to keep nice kill counts on my Khelds for them) and Cysts are pretty much nothing but shiny rocks now, the few times you see them. Hell, they used to do unresistable Nictus damage, even that got removed, and frankly their threat level has gone from "really need to watch out for them" to "ooh, that might have left a little burn, anyone have ointment?" It's one of the reasons (on top of a forced respec at 24 and a few other things) I don't find VEATs interesting. Other than a fairly lame storyline which is generic to all of them, there's absolutely nothing that feels like the world cares you exist. That same "epic" (again, story driven) feel isn't there. You might as well be another brute, stalker or dom. Kheldians? Yes, *you* are deemed a threat personally and *you* are the target of attempts to kill you that could come from anywhere. Remove or nerf them further and you might as well just roll an energy/energy blaster and occasionally play random AE missions.
  6. There's one time I'll bring up "This game is staffed by a small group of volunteers." It's typically in response to complaints that content/changes aren't coming fast enough or that some giant change hasn't been done. Basically it's a reminder this isn't live and there's not a dedicated team pushing out at least an issue, hopefully two, per year, going over bug fixes, handling the forums, subscriptions, etc. Or IOW, "be patient." As a reaction to any criticism? No, it's neither fair nor valid. As for the OP? It's mostly vague and ... questionable, honestly, for most of the criticisms. And this should really be in the issue's discussions thread. But Solar and Shadeknight pretty much covered what my reaction would be. So - yes, we know it's staffed by volunteers, and I think we're all glad for what they're doing. But there are times that's a valid response, and times it isn't, and I'd have to say here it isn't, really.
  7. *non serious* Nah. That's not hardcore. You die, your character's over. Then it deletes your other characters and starts a noninterruptable removal of the game. Your account is deleted, and you can't install the game on that machine again. It slaps your SO, drinks your beer/whiskey/wine, and drives off with your dog in your pickup truck, leaving you just an old beat-up guitar for your troubles.
  8. I fear sewers over flowing, I hear the voice of rage and ruin!
  9. I seem to recall the live devs looking at adding extra slots and having it break things badly. Plus, honestly, I rarely find myself wanting extra slots. There are some characters I've ended up slotting things just to get past that level. (And yes, I *do* play Khelds.) And no, I don't *want* all my powers six slotted, either. Frankly, I'd have to agree this sounds like overcomplication for not a great deal of benefit, at least to me. Sorry.
  10. Hmm, tour guide missions sound interesting. Though I go after those explore badges anyway because quick merits. 🙂 (Also, I'm glad my WW teleport didn't go away. Biggest use is getting right to the Steel WW to pick up salvage and just hop down the hill to the university to craft. I rather like them.)
  11. This is a thread asking for opinions. Peoples opinions do not have to agree with yours. Stating those opinions is not a demand for anything, especially when in response to a request FOR those opinions. If you find reading opinions that differ from yours "tiresome," then just use the reply feature at the very bottom, leave your opinion as requested, and ignore the thread after that. Problem solved.
  12. Planning to go all Darth Maul on someone? 🙂 (More costume options / weapon look options are always welcome, though.)
  13. You know, I've generally stepped out of the thread since some of the basis of Vanden's arguments are things I don't agree on, but I did mention this before and I am curious what brought this up now, still.
  14. Been asking for this to be more obvious (and useful) for years, if you count here and live...
  15. Yeah, "Sir" is generally acceptable in that situation, regardless of gender. Also: First ward, Master Midnight Revenge: Served Chilled Finale: My Enemy's Enemy "I shall set to work at once studying it's pages" = Its, not it's. (He shouldn't be saying "studying it is pages.")
  16. ... not sure how you have such trouble with teams. Yes, every once in a while we have a player kill a cadaver (sometimes by not realizing things like "Confuse is a bad idea," since *they're* not the ones doing damage, or by someone not setting off a bomb ahead of time so the zombies do it,) but generally... most runs tend to be successful at getting it. Then again, most of them ask first "do we want to do a badge run," then give a reminder before hitting the final room on what's needed. Even with a catwalk.
  17. Heck, if you *really* want to give some time, tag her with something and have everyone else back waiting up the "hill" (about where the last Vahz group is.) Make sure she keeps chasing - she's so much faster than the zombies you can take her down before they even show up.
  18. Incarnates. Hmm. First, dump the shards and make everything threads. Having one otherwise useless class of salvage for one power is annoying to me. Personally, I think I would have made Alpha the only... for lack of a better word, "universal" power. I'd be perfectly happy with that, and that alone, exemping all the way down to level 1 as a reward and an expression of "You made it." Everything else should either only be active, or only be active at full strength, in Incarnate content. We were already begining to trivialize high level content with IOs, capped defense, self-perma-ing things and the like. Making nukes irrelevant because everyone gets 30+ target Judgement, and so can just roll over everything, for instance? A bit much. If it had been, say, a 5 target limit in non-Incarnate content, 45-50, it'd be different. But as it is, the old content is like... a racetrack with cars from 1910 or so. IOs? Dropping in cars from the 40s. Then we bring in Incarnate content and it's like modern supercars just blowing everything else away without a care in the world while that 1910 Olds of content is sitting on its side, wheels spinning. *That* said, and yes I know the "coming storm" was... er... coming, more Incarnate content was needed - and would be needed before any expansion of the powers upward. Having it tied to Praetoria was ... eh, ok, that needed to be finished off anyway, and DA at least gave us somewhere appropriate we didn't need a league for, but the otherwise lack of content I think is part of what leaves this feeling unfinished. Basically, having more Incarnate-level content on the one hand, and having it be where to use things full power on the other (lowering the impact on standard content,) would have been nice. (Though obviously all of that was taken out of the original devs hands with the shutdown.) I can't say I was excited by the ideas for the coming storm we were told about, but... eh. Edit: Ahh. Nearly forgot. The UI for Lore could be ... better. Yes, it tells you what you get, and mentions "this pet can buff and do damage" (or not,) but it doesn't really *tell* you anything about the pets, so picking is ... kind of blind. Additional information there would be nice.
  19. ... because they can't engage first (other than the stalker) and if they didn't have built in mez protection they would be doing zero damage. They *have* to get into melee range and stay there to do anything -where there are far *more* mezzes - versus the ranged characters. The two are not equivalent. If you want range and you absolutely cannot deal with mez, ever - run a Sentinel. Done.
  20. I've got to admit, I pretty much just ignore the combo system on my DB characters. If I happen to hit one, yay. If not, yay. (That said, I think the DB AS is probably my favourite. "Got'cher kidneys... yoink!")
  21. Only if you intend to be ultra-picky on semantics.
  22. No. Latest release candidate. (In other words, "not done yet, but close to release.")
  23. "One person choked while drinking a glass of water, so everyone in the world is drowning?" I'll just say "no," "read my last post," and "this is a ridiculous counter-nonargument." I play plenty of squishies. I'm never "forced" to pick Clarion, or spend ridiculous amounts on a build. I don't generally do "builds" as it is. The mez issue for squishies is not that bad. If it were, it would have been addressed more comprehensively over the near decade the game had a dedicated dev staff on live, beyond "you can combine three enhancements into one of another type."
  24. As I've said elsewhere. Development is not, and should not be, a democracy. Just because they don't give a response doesn't mean they don't pay attention to your feedback. (Small, volunteer team, putting out a fairly big update, after all.) Just because they didn't go and change things with the "most popular" option doesn't mean the feedback was useless. "Most popular" doesn't necessarily mean "right" (or "fits with whatever internal overall plan they have," or "is something they can do.")
  25. Baked holiday hami?
