  1. To all those looking here, I say...

    What'chu lookin' at, Willis?

    🙂

  2. Honestly, I think all the maps could probably use a little sharpening up. (And clarifying of neighborhoods in some... *cough*Croatoa*cough*)
  3. Closest we have is this comment in another thread:
  4. ... don't resummon that often? And if you're dead and your team has moved on, there are bigger problems than resummoning a pet. (Besides, if you're dead, your other pets are not taking damage - they die when you do. There may be an exception - I don't recall if Necro's ghost hangs around or not - but your T1, T2, and T3 pets die.) And to test - fired up a MM. Took 9 seconds from no pets to all pets - you don't have to wait for the animation to finish, after all. To buff? ~4 seconds. (Again, you don't have to wait for the animation to finish before hitting the next buff and starting to move.) So here's what you do: - Other than low levels, don't worry about your T1s. Past... oh, 20, they're cannon fodder anyway. Don't resummon T1s every time one dies. The only time to worry about one dying is with Necro, and that's just to summon the ghost. - Worried about not keeping up with the team? Stay with them. Keep them buffed. Summon and buff your pets as you go. - Don't wait for animation times to finish. You don't need to.
  5. I'm not shooting down anything. I'm just pointing out that that tracker isn't necessarily accurate.
  6. I'm ... confused with calling the buffs time consuming. It takes longer to *summon* the pets than to buff them all. You hit two buttons once and they're fully upgraded. It's pretty quick.
  7. That activity tracker is .... not accurate. It can be thrown off. Example I tend to give, from back on live - Three of my friends and I set up a "shield squad." We played together, coordinated the time, etc. Didn't really play if the others weren't there (we did have alts, after all.) Yes, I'd log on and do some buying/selling, etc. but not, say, run task forces, MSRs, etc. without the others. For them, the "patrol time" at 50 was ~80 hours - maybe 5 hours of variation between them. I had 300-some hours. And definitely was *not* on that character that much more.
  8. .... Really tempted to go ahead and set up that SG. And call it "We Have No Issues." (In fact... did so. @Therra Arcson. Which brings up the question - SG bases were a later "thing." Do we want one FOR DOs, etc, to be stored, or run as "just a group?" )
  9. 1. Are you tanking all right? Then I don't care if you have either or both of these or not. 2. Are you having fun? Take what's letting you have fun. Tank stuff. 3. Are you having fun? Take what's letting you have fun. Punch stuff. Not sure which to take? You have 1000 slots. Make both. Welcome to the alt side. 4. Probably not.
  10. Try crossing your "i"s and dotting your "t"s. *nods*
  11. Well, if we do we can make a mission out of it. How many merits is Emmy worth? 🙂
  12. Not sure. Possibly. Can't imagine there are 96 goldsiders on right now. They may make up part of it as well.
  13. That's one I like trying to get the "old fashioned" way - just sprint, hop up the back of the leg to the hip, shoulder, try to jump on the hand (though if you miss that, getting close enough still gets the badge.)
  14. Honestly, depending on laptop, a display replacement isn't *that* big a deal - it's a little fiddly, yes - and perhaps cheaper than you might think. (Just did so about a year ago on my sister's laptop which slid down the side of a recliner and got pretty solidly shattered. Replacement touchscreen was around $50.) If you're not comfortable doing that, though, yeah - external monitor should be fine. I'd definitely look into drivers and such, though, first.
  15. I don't think the *hold* needs a KD. It might be interesting for snare, though. (The hold tends to be enough of a counter on its own, in my experience.) As far as snare not having -fly... granted, we don't hit flying enemies a *lot,* but it does tend to be useful. As far as Quantums - new enemy *types* would probably be the hardest part of that, given the lore, but not impossible. I'd be all for new encounters/arcs. Then again, I *like* fighting Quantums.
  16. I kind of like the anniversary badges only being around to pick up during the anniversary, but that's solely me and "for flavor." It wouldn't hurt me in the slightest for them to be available. As far as "no progress" badges - maybe as an option to keep the list uncluttered for those who like it that way, but other than that, sure. (Honestly, I wish there were a way to designate plaques so you knew which were missing for a history badge.)
  17. Most of the events do exactly what you describe for Paladin when you get into the area as it is. (I can't think of any that don't, right offhand. The Praetoria ones do, Zig breakout, Paladin... maybe raves and steel canyon fires don't, but those come up pretty frequently.) Are you considering GM spawns "events" as well? Those definitely don't have timers visible on them. (And for those, the fires and raves, I'm kind of torn between "yeah, throw a timer on the kiosk" and "but you shouldn't "in character" know when these will happen." Though you "shouldn't" know when a breakout or Paladin rampage is, either.) ... hmm. Yeah. So, balance between "why do I know this IC" and "badge hunting!" - maybe a slash command? /zoneevent or something similar that will reply with what event(s) are in zone and any time left to spawn?
  18. The prefix for the "no" i would put on this is decidedly not family friendly. Or quiet. It also wouldn't help the "problem" to just automatically generic characters per level - no guarantee names would be freed up that people who bring this topic up normally want. Also, this game encourages alts. That means some characters get played more than others. Yes, even 50s. So that's another very loud "*#@$% NO!" to this. 90 days can fly by depending on what's going on. Per-alt (versus account) ideas like this can go die in a fire.
  19. Perhaps, but feel wise it still feels like a long time when I'm running on a team. I've shot cars into already defeated enemies more times than I care to admit (and they were quite healthy when I started.)
  20. Everlasting as well. Haven't really had a lot of play time (mostly to just being worn out after work - I was surprised I stayed awake through an MSR the other day.)
  21. Because they want the play style. *shrug* Or they want to avoid the slot crunce. Personally, I'd say it's more "viable" on a PB than on a WS - that second mire is just too nice to pass up. Honestly? No. And I've been playing since i3. I never asked anyone else to kill the Quantums or Voids - those were *my* meat. I used to keep kill counts on them for some characters. Even the Cysts were able to be handled if the team would actually listen and not just rush in.
  22. Isn't that vorpal judgement that does this, sort of? Honestly, I'd think a lot of things that *could* be done would be done better in a single player game - like giving a speedster time to "get up to speed" and perhaps increase damage (or add an AOE after X distance) which teams don't .. tend to bother giving time to do. 🙂
  23. Nothing really fancy on mine. Team/league (not shown) usually on the left side.
  24. Yeah, it's a weird UI setup to not let you expand to see more of the email subjects/attachments. Probably was fine when we were at 800x600 or (woo) 1024x768. Now... not so much. Then again, the way the game's code is reported as being, changing that will probably do something weird like change all powers to green paisley and force the game to run upside down or something.
  25. Combat/superjump and a kin, I believe. I don't have the reflexes.
