  1. It can be opened. The commands are not greyed out, but do nothing for non-MMs.
  2. Personally, I'm a big fan of "Don't worry about what other people do with their characters."
  3. It was an interesting and fun event. Thank you. I think if/when this is done again, though, we may want to consider spreading out more. I heard a *lot* of complaints about not being able to keep up with chat scroll.
  4. Except it isn't. You're talking disabling powers. They're talking suppressing vfx. And as mentioned, the tech is already in game, they aren't asking for something created from scratch. So it's less asking the engineer to adjust your seat, and more saying "you know what would be handy? Having a cup holder for the passenger too."
  5. They're talking about the in-game bio editor. Also, as far as Virtueverse: (A) isn't there some sort of issue with it at the moment? Thought I heard something in passing, and (B) I'd ... kind of like to keep this one separate, personally. I know some people are continuing, others aren't - having a different site and keeping Virtueverse as it was "live" kind of appeals to me. I know it doesn't for everyone.
  6. I'd be... cautious with adding abilities (like the broadsword example.) For instance, someone who's trying to keep a Natural character would probably be *irked* to suddenly be teleporting around (or teleporting people.) As far as debuffs - and I just took a peek at my dark/dark's Confront - it does already do a -75% range for 12 seconds, which should help draw even ranged enemies to you. I don't know that scrappers need a damage *buff,* but a small set-thematic debuff wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't really even argue about a bit of damage (it would help the taunt function,) though the issue there is "do brutes and tanks get that as well?" (Especially tanks?) (Extra mention here for Dwarf form taunts, as well.) There's already an IO that does a little damage (chance of, at least,) and I don't think anyone calls that gamebreaking, either, so I think that would be safe, in any case.
  7. So what? They also asked us to design a powerset. Which is likely even more work. Others (including me) have asked for new zones, new story arcs, new archetypes. At least this suggestion is taking an existing tech (combat auras) and applying it to the *visuals for* other powers. As far as requests go? This one's probably in the lower half of "how much work it would take."
  8. I have a suspicion that this could be *really* obnoxious at times, but other than that, not against more options.
  9. I'm on Quattro Pro, personally.
  10. Yeah, given the timeframe, an SO sounds about right. It's still the reward, or a reward choice, in some content (SSA 1, for instance, gives you a choice of 4x merits, some incarnate bits, or... an accuracy SO. Siren's Call has an SO for 1000 bounty. That sort of thing.)
  11. I don't know that I'd personally need more enhancement tabs. Lately, though, I'd been rather wishing I had a button to just "compact enhancements," though, as I sell off SOs that drop and fill spaces between IOs I craft. It takes a while sometimes to move them around between tabs so I can see just how many I have (and, honestly, *what* i have) on some characters.
  12. Well, you get half of that. (Literally did that as a tip mission within the last 15 minutes.) I wouldn't argue with a "talk to or fight out" option in it.
  13. ... which is part of why I say the editor should be looked at first. I'll often be typing away and have it "stall" somewhere. Go back and click to look and it suddenly inserts your text elsewhere (well, where you clicked, if it's anywhere but right at the end. ) I'll often do the first, as well. It's just irksome.
  14. People can play what they want to play, however they feel like playing them. The most I'd do is mention "part 1 of this is in The Nosehair of Nosferatu story arc" so people who want to do it in order can. Less blocking of content is a good thing in most instances.
  15. ... yeah, to be honest I generally ignore that whole bit of lore. My electrical blast has Ion judgement because... it's a sensible progression, for instance. I *really* don't like the whole "the well can take you over, oooooooh!" bit. It was better when the well was more vague.
  16. As I recall, the issue with vehicles (other than some of them looking odd, if you've ever seen a sky raider skiff or longbow chaser in a small office) is having to reanimate *everything* to work with a vehicle. All attacks, buffs, etc. Not *as* much for something like a jetpack, since they tend to use flying animations anyway.
  17. Nope. Haven't been for a long time. Especially now, it'd be too easy to make an 'unwinnable' base to raid.
  18. Do you remember the alt? You should be able to /bindsavefile (filename.txt) - just use the alt's name - and see your binds set for it.
  19. Honestly... the *editor* needs work before we think about expanding!
  20. I only "care" enough to point out you're making bad assumptions while you're trying to demonize people. I did start to type up more, to explain why these assumptions are bad, but realized it would be an utter waste of time, especially on something that wouldn't happen anyway.
  21. Heh. No, you won't see that on an RP server. Quick quips thrown off, maybe a comment during a little down time (or while hunting down that last freaking mob...) but it's not like, "I see the enemy! I draw my sword, which shimmers in the lab's unnatural fluorescent lights, and prepare to strike!" *push button for attack.* "I haul back and prepare to follow up!" *push button.* RP generally takes place in certain areas, or in a SG setting - though you will get people putting out that they're running an RP team. You can go and just mash buttons and mostly ignore that you're on an RP server, if that's what you want. It's a pretty good crowd, regardless.
  22. See also "you don't play a way I like."
  23. ... ever read the Iron Druid series? More specifically, the side stories - look for, I think it's called first dangle. 🙂 (Only thing I can think of that does that is the Poison rez.)
