  1. Still get 6 merits, so I wouldn't say worthless. Or if three are stomping around, 18. And yeah, 3's the limit. I've never seen more than that from live to now (and I'm ... oh, 85% sure that stops a construction spawn from happening.)
  2. If you look at my post (since I'm scratching my head on why you would think I'd see it as an attack on me, on top of me not being particularly invested in the idea,) I specifically put in an example of development on a rotation - both to avoid burnout and have other development get spotlight time. I *still* want to see old abandoned content get attention (the aforementioned blood of the black stream.)
  3. *Some* people/builds can solo them. You're seeing it more often now just from the age/experience level of the playerbase and rather stagnant content (which is not a complaint to or about the devs. Small volunteer staff, etc.) If it were "almost any build can do it solo" and people were doing it on SOs/common IOs without worry, then maybe. (And yes, Lusca was first soloed by an Illusion controller back in the day on live on SOs. It wasn't a quick five minute thing....)
  4. "Hey, look, a balloon!" ;)
  5. Ahh. We're going for realism. So, no more mediporter, since that doesn't exist, and most heroes will be dead by level 2-3 from all the bullets, fire, etc and flight not dropping with stuns won't be a problem since nobody will live long enough to take it. Done.
  6. Yeah. I argued for getting Sonic changed on live because it was causing friends to have to stop playing - it would trigger migranes. I dn't suffer from migranes, but it even bothered me. The revised Sonic - once you cut through posts of people being asses about it - still managed to trigger a reaction in one person (who hadn't realized he had a problem 'til his girlfriend mentioned him - I thin passing out? - during some part of Saw due to visuals and he saw a neurologist.) I hadn't heard of Hurricane doing this during all of live, but people don't like speaking up. (see "people being asses about it" re: Sonic.) Usually they need someone just bullheaded stubborn enough to bring it up and keep bringing it up. (*waves.*) It would help if they can experiement a bit and give a more "it's when it fills the screen," or the colors, etc. as mentioned above. If there's a setting they can change on their side that helps, great (and make sure that info's publicized.) If not, then *yes,* I would hope it'd be something a dev can tweak or find an option for or something. But the more info means there's more to work with to find a solution. (And no, I don't care if it's one person or a thousand.)
  7. Reclaiming Praetoria would be something that even a "live" (IE, official, corporately supported and funded with full time development, art/asset and support teams) game would have to do over multiple issues, I'd say. It's just a massive project. Their Hamidon isn't the same as ours - insomuch as ours is basically contained and regularly pruned. (Yes, second zone has one in the Abyss, but .. that's pretty much for mechanical reasons so redside had a hami raid.) It would probably have to get stretched out *further* to prevent another case of burnout on the same storyline, so we'd be talking years of development *without* the team being volunteer. There are a lot of other storylines to continue (and create.) I mean, I'd see something like... (making issue #s up) I27: Prae hami tries either making contact with or eliminating Primal hami (somehow.) Everyone goes on alert. I28: Cleaning up the Folly. Crey's folly and related arcs. I29: something. I30: Battle at the Bastion - start stepping otu from last bastion, dealing with a Hamidon that's continually evolved. I31: Stuff... say, blood of the black stream. I32: Things I33: (expansion into more of Praetoria.) etc. Keeping content interesting, spread among ranges and themes. That itself would be 2-3 more years of live-team-type development, creating new assets and so forth. With our team (not saying this as a putdown, but "small, volunteer" and "missing some tools") that's probably at least a five year plan.
  8. See, that's the nice thing about proliferated powers. If someone wants a Stone Stalker, it fits the concept they have or whatever? They can make it. On the flip side, if you don't like it? You don't have to make it. More options are good. You're free to skip the ones you don't like.
  9. Nope. Think it was in an AMA. The trees were planned (very roughly) to be expanded beyond those ten. Dealing with Prometheus's sort, then whatever's above that, if I'm recalling it properly. Though, I don't *think* any beyond the next tier were given anything more than names, if that. (Plus there's plenty of content that's been referenced and completely dropped. Blood of the Black Stream is probably the most referenced, with Gadzul Oil mentioned in Mr. Bocor's arc and I believe one other - with graphical easter eggs as well, if you look at the partially sunk tanker in Oakes - the Eye of Horus the spill forms is part of it.)
  10. Or completely forget that horrid Battalion storyline, which was just there to keep people paying VIP so they had access to the Incarnate trees they were going to expand ad infinitum.
  11. VEATs always seemed a bit rushed to me, honestly. Just in little things here or there, like some of the VEAT arcs.
  12. ... I read "smut" and I think "tongue in cheek adult fanfic." :) (It was a silly time with friends pre-COH.) ANd ... yeah, while there's a *little* of this in game now (Cheetah and "sort of" tiger on skirts, I think a shield... isn't there an animal bone mace?) seeing more of it that goes more in that direction would be nice. (Granted, I say that for most "more costume bits pls" options.)
  13. This wouldn't be "challenge," this would be "annoyance." Like Malta's 2 hour stun grenades.
  14. Plus they said creating those few animations/powers for Demons was as much work as making an entire set. So...
  15. ... until they disappeared. :) It was a regular haunt (no pun intended... well, maybe a little pun intended) of one of my mains on live. Along with original DA, Croatoa when we got to see it in beta. Both for the zone itself, which was quite different from anything else in game, but for seeing "Ooh, those mobs are fighting... and actually *damaging* each other!" for the first time, as opposed to the shadowboxing they were doing before. Special mention (as it's not a "zone") to the underground caverns in the Eden trial. They almost look painted. Nothing else like them in the game. (And then there's the giant bones...)
  16. While we're at it, being able to have additional - and basic - file management (such as ... understanding folders in the directory and being able to navigate to them, move things, etc.) would be nice.
  17. https://fbsa.homecoming.wiki/wiki/Main_Page is up and running, yes.
  18. "Does it look fun?" Yes - taken No - skipped. I don't honestly care about set bonuses, capping, perma-whatever, etc. though. Unneeded and generally annoying. It's rare that I have any sort of "chain" in mind (the only exception I can think of being "huntsman" builds - WAWG, venom, then AOEs, and I want them handy and cycling.) The closest I come to a "mule" is looking for powers that don't really need slotting and maybe putting them off 'til the mid-30s or later when I'll just want slots in existing powers. (Typically aim/buildup type powers, Nebulous Form, etc.)
  19. I'm seeing this as needing some nested menus, but that's not a big deal: "Tell me about slotting" - What are enhancements - What do colors/borders mean - What are IOs --Recipes and crafting --Categories --Set bonuses --"Rule of 5" (also mentioned under set bonuses, but someone may want to look here specifically if they've heard it mentioned.) "Tell me how to get powers" - Primary and secondary sets - Pools - APPS/Epics and Patron pools - Training and respecs .... and so forth. Make it a community effort, because there's a lot of potential information to drop here.
  20. Everlasting, claimed items yesterday and today without issue. Haven't opened any packs, though, that I can think of. I'd assume this would affect winter packs as well?
  21. The Sands of Mu temp power is prety much my go-to for this, too. Not affected by the crash at all. Edit: Of everything, I wouldn't mind damage in hand clap - even minor - for the sake of a little earlier AOE. *shrug* There are... *checks* two, apparently, procs that might give some, and that's it.
  22. Note the timestamps. This was going on from the point he was spawned, before anyone engaged him, through the team building process and through the fight. Just rapid-fire through all of his lines with a continual stream of dialog above his head. Not sure if it's specific to just this one instance of the spawn or if it's been ongoing.
  23. Hasn't SEGS been talked about since ... live? I know I've heard it for quite a while. Sort of like "for the full experience, play it on ReactOS" (which has also been plodding along forever.)
  24. *clicks on advisor.* *waits* *waits* *waits* Advisor: "Huh. OK then."
  25. Yeah, I'd have to agree. As a source for general information that's not given elsewhere (ok, or given but that people seem to ignore...) from the very basic "What are enhancements" and "What do these colors mean" on up, but "evaluating a build" ... eh. (For instance, "Multi slotting brawl" is not common, sure, but I've seen people deliberately do it for the heck of it, usually piling procs on.) Now, some Q&A type things, like "I'm having endurance problems, what can I do" that can give some common building or slotting strategies? Sure. But to stand there and have something scan your build and judge it? Nah.
