Think I just saw you mention this in help. I can't htink of any voiceover other than the tutorial (and, really... could that just be pulled?) and while there are mods for glowie volume/type ... yeah, this'd be nice.
-
I'd be fine with that. And in co-op zones, especially the RWZ.
-
Well, no, even when it was more lengthy, it was just sort of "there."
-
Well, there's also the itrials for multi-team content. I don't know how much work goes into designing those - we *do* only have two "raids," per se. I don't think I'd want to see a *lot* of them added, or just thrown in willy nilly, but something different could be interesting. Of the two, I rather like the MSR just from being the capstone (somewhat) to a set of story arcs, or at least related. A setup like that, I enjoy. (Plus it's a social spot with people BSing for a while.) Hami is ... ok, but it's just sort of *there,* by comparison.

I don't particularly like 40 or 50 as a level to get bumped up to. Just as a personal gut feeling. 30, though, I might consider. Mostly because - well, yes, it's roughly the halfway point (Yes, I know, numerically that's 25, but given it takes more time to eat a hamburger than to get up several levels early on...) and when I see people complain about certain ATs early game being frustrating or annoying... the mid 20s to 30 bypasses that. (I'm thinking specifically of bypassing the weakest, kind of most boring and frustraing part of MMs, and of VEATs and the ridiculous and annoying forced respec at 24.) (Honestly, personally I'd have 20, 25 and 30 options, and I'd personally probalby use 25 for the above reasons, plus the 20s are where the content I particularly like tends to reside. Especially for magic characters, natively going through Croatoa's a thing. I enjoy that, and the keith nance/jenny adair duo.)

No, and anyone who says you're holding a group back or "gimped" or whatever needs a swift kick. I don't theorycraft, I don't do anything special in builds, don't perma-this or hyper-recharge-that or cap whatever and will still end up being an effective rolling nuke (depending on character... obviously my ice/emp isn't.)

"No" isn't strong enough of a reaction to this.

Raising PvP Zone -level enforcement- NON RV
Greycat replied to Kataklysm's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yes. Shivan runs, temp powers (I'll grab those instead of stealth pool powers,) and nuke runs are things that happen. Also hunts for NPCs - masks in BB, for instance, or obviously Shivans. (Not sure if you were counting those in the "aside from badges" or not.) As far as "bumping the characters to 50?" What good would that do? If I go into BB at 15 and get "bumped" to 50, I'm still a level 15, with level 15's worth of powers, partial slotting, and a much smaller enhancement tray - and easy meat for a real level 50, who now has their full suite of abilities. Honestly, I think the SK change done on live broke Siren's Call for me (almost as much as I13) - I enjoyed BB and SC because they weren't T9-offs, and once we had "SK = level +5 worht of powers,) primary T9s cam einto play. (Also skewed BB from a 15-25 zone, which at that level range is *already* an issue, to an effective 15-30.) Bumping Warburg up I don't think would really be as big a deal. *shrug*- 110 replies

*headdesk* I know that. I just didn't type it well. :D That should have been a "just like" - basically, both options for both sides. Brain-finger disconnect. *chuckles.*

I have a few. May not be "level 2" but are typically sub-level-10, often sub-level-5, depending on if they need a travel power or not. (I'm not counting base builders here, given the names are part of the reason for asking, I doubt anyone will by dying to get "Base builder 27" or whatnot.) Often if they get any level after 2, it's from fighting things to kill time. I have zero reason to level them (well, other than the pending name release, in which case PL-in-a-farm.)

Honestly, since Patrons came out, I've thought that - yes - we should be able to "sign up with" the FBSA branches (sort of fits more than "a patron,") and redsiders should also get non-Patron Epics for those that don't want to be someone's lackey.

Proposal for Regular Content Rewards Buff
Greycat replied to Andreah's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Having missions where you had to specifically *not* defeat everything? If used in good story context... yes. -
Masterminds have wanted changes for years now.

Yeah, this small, volunteer staff should do what we pay them to do, not what they want or can do! Swear if this keeps up we should take our $0 somewhere else!- 144 replies

Proposal for Regular Content Rewards Buff
Greycat replied to Andreah's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I've got to second this point, as well. Not all characters are tanks/brutes/scrappers. Try to "encourage" me to kill all on my Ice/Emp 'troller? *shudder* In addition, there are missions such as the ... I forget the name, the one where you verify B'nadek's information and are *specifically told* not to engage patrols or the two boss mobs, just look for four glowies. I *really* kind of wish we had more missions like that, which forced you to pay attention to what you were engaging rather than HULK SMASH everything. Plus - well, COH has always been casual-player-friendly. Hop in, finish a mission at whatever speed you want, go do other stuff... no need to dedicate two hours to a giant endgame raid for a .005% chance of SomethingUBergear. The main concern I have about this is that it ends up punishing people who just want to hop in, do a little bit of something (versus a clear-all, especially on some of the ridiculously large maps) and leave. Besides, I'm not sure we need to make leveling *even faster.* *shrugs* Just my two cents. -
DA repeatables. Hell, some of mine have T4s - plus extra empyrians, etc. that they'll never use - just from being MSR raid regulars. (Which I mostly do to BS with the other regulars there.)
-
Not a bug, apparently. (There are a couple other summons that do this - Sky Raider shield generators and Malta gun drones, as I recall. And for even *more* fun, Master Illusionist Phantasms and the Decoys *they* summon, so you get to sit around and wait a while while trying to rescue a hostage.) SHould still be changed, though.

How about adding a word and making it all "active" suppression toggles? So if you're on a stormy but not currently using Hurricane when you get mezzed, it's not considered in the recharge? (Probably a coding mess, honestly.) I'm still chewing this one over, personally. It's going to be bad for some of my squishies to not be able to use part of their powerset that long after getting mezzed. Rads not being able to debuff? >.< My first reaction was that most of my melee wouldn't care, but... something like Energy Aura (Brute,) where Entropic Aura (the *mez protection* toggle) also does "Foe -rech" - which should put it under "Offensive Toggles" - would be... er... bad. And I don't know anywhere better to put it. (Yes, I have to hop onto test and verify this. But it's a first read on it for me.) Other sets like Fiery Aura, I probably wouldn't care, it's not a major part of what's going on and I have a whole other powerset to rely on But some ... yeah...

This. The anniversary badge takes me a few days to go through. If this is going to be implemented, then to me (frankly) we need to have the character select screen get is *long overdue* revamp with additional information and filtering - to include "danger of losing name." Yes, it was. First time was everything under level - I want to say 35. The second time, due to so few names being "reclaimed," it was under level 6 or some such. And it was never run again. But then again, it also didn't target active accounts. (Though... while I *sort of* get the "we can't really do that" explanation, I'm not sure how hard it would be to go "Oh, Character Superdude was logged on today. Superdude's global is @Nosehairman. Skip all characters with global @Nosehairman." Not a programmer, not privy to the internals of this, I'm just curious as to why that's not the check, then.) (And the original... I'm trying to think of when it was run. If it was pre-COV, it would be 8 slots per server. If you had COV+COH, you had 12 slots, and eventually that grew to 36 per server.) Honestly, I think this is only going to result in three things: 1. Annoying active players when they lose one of their character names (say, on another server they don't play on much and so wouldn't be checking) if/when the actual release itself goes live, 2. A call to include 50s when the "Name campers are holding all the good names!" crowd still doesn't get the name they want, (tied with "and they knew about PLing because they removed AE from Atlas/Mercy,") and ---EDIT - in fact, that's starting already... *points up a few posts.* --- 3. Just an increase in PLing to make characters immune... whether you plan on playing for years or you just stuck your nose in. Hell, I prefer playing the content at level *while* I level, and *I'm* considering PLing all of my characters now.

issue 27 Focused Feedback: City Zone Adjustments

So. Removed AE from the starter zones. Which only means it's going to flood into Pocket D, KR and Oakes. Is there an actual benefit to this change? -
issue 27 Focused Feedback: Architect Entertainment
Greycat replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Slightly disappointed in the "custom = no XP" bit, but understandable. Definitely need to play with this. It may make a few things more attainable... (Also, any chance of getting the PB/WS "wisp" look - light form, for instance, PB side - as a contact choice?) -
Should be by account, not character. The game encourages alts and RP. Not all RP alts get leveled - they're there for a reason, and that's not "rush to 50 and get incarnated out." Some do sit there waiting for specific times and aren't brought out to play frequently. If the account's inactive, go nuts. For an active account, not fond of the idea of having to go through looking for "warnings." (And no, I don't care that "all you have to do is log them in." I've got roughly 200 characters. It's not a small time investment. I'd rather play a character than go through 20 pages looking for little triangles.)
