  1. Do you happen to know if this then reduces the chance of them proccing for/on you?
  2. Sounds more like a PEBKAC situation, if you ask me...
  3. Which is irrelevant, because the OP was talking about Thor at the end of Ragnarok, i.e. the one WITHOUT Mjolnir...
  4. Servers getting restarted is pretty routine. Don't conflate a temporary/maintenance shutdown with a permanent one. I assure you, there's be much more of a hullabaloo if that was the case...
  5. The -DEF in rad melee also allows for some other set types.
  6. Champions Online implemented something which, while sounding good on paper, was not terribly utilized - sometimes while wandering in a zone, (mainly the main hub zone, Millennium City), you'll get a popup that you see a crime in progress or something out of the ordinary, and can accept a related mission. The problem is that they are neither rewarding nor interesting enough to be any sort of reliable source of content. I much prefer the general reliability and accessibility of CoH's radio/newspaper contacts. Those could stand a bit of customization and enhancement, though - like choosing the enemy group(s) you want to fight, excluding hostage/escort missions, and so on...
  7. Keep it simple - fire/thermal, or maybe beam/traps if you're feeling extra adventurous.
  8. This whole thread sounds like bait to me, trying to spark the ire of people for or against the remake.
  9. I have several controllers that I enjoy playing. To be honest, outside of certain sets having unique powers or behaviors, like gravity control being more "blastery" or having wormhole, I find that the secondary has more impact on how that character performs. For instance, my earth control/pain domination controller is far more of a support character than my gravity/kinetics one. Are there any particular areas you need help in or are unfamiliar with? Perhaps sharing your own experience with controlelrs might help us establish a base-line...
  10. Just how all-seeing are the Menders of Ouroboros? It's be interesting if Mender Silos provided narration for the larger, world/dimension-level stuff, and perhaps Blue Shield or Back Alley Brawler provided more ground-level commentary...
  11. I realize you don't speak for the entire dev team or GMs, but why do things need to be made attainable for all? Why can't the stance be "yeah, this is tough to get organically, so don't be upset if you can't then get it"?
  12. It's certainly not "something" I'd want to see implemented, though. Games that do utilize the open world more tend to have things like waiting for a named NPC to respawn so you can complete your mission, or placing glowies spread far apart to just waste your time as you go around clicking stuff.
  13. IMHO, the bigger issue is people exploiting the no-auto-logout for things like damage badges or farming Adamastor.
  14. Poison has potent debuffs, but their AoEs are rather small, meaning you'll have to recast them quite often to keep enemies affected by them and your pets alive. Since you are SK'd up, your pets are probably more than -5 to the enemies, and your debuffs are probably missing more often than usual - basically everything is working against you. How are you slotted? Do you have generic IOs at least? Any tohit buffs, like from tactics? Overall, I wouldn't say this experience is representative of what you're performance will be like when you're actually 50...
  15. Could be the Carnival of Light, in which case, you should be fine...
  16. Sure, but since you aren't allowed to depict real people, it'd have to be pretty vague...
  17. The closest we be some sort of proc-like effect that deals damage upon damage taken...
  18. Neither of their replies included an explanation, just a use of the new reactions and/or some comedic stuff...
  19. Then they had a change of heart.
  20. I would imagine that a lot depends upon the extent and form of their "redemption" - maybe they're just against forceful possession of hosts now, maybe they've reconciled with their current host, but both agree that a path of villainy is amicable to them...
  21. It would be interesting if a Nictus started off as a sort of generic "parasite controlling a host" type of thing, with some warshade-like blast attacks, but as you progressed, you had to decide if you were going to continue the forceful/involuntary possession of said host, or come to some sort of epiphany and come to terms with that host. That decision then triggers a forced respec, (much like VEATS), where you now gain access to some different powers. This could permit some interesting hybrid Kheldian, with a "pure" Nictus providing more parasitic powers - maybe some unique mechanics like you can only heal by stealing life, or only recover end by stealing it, etc.
  22. So what I'm seeing is that we need a guide on "How to avoid 'How to avoid X' threads"...
  23. I'm not sure if this is just a tangent or trying to be comedic, but this comes across to me like someone saying they can eat chicken and still call themselves a vegan, because they redefined "vegan" to mean "doesn't eat mammals". Regardless, various concept characters have existed for a long long time, and things like your "Scrapfist" character are only doable at level 1 or if you're eternally carried by other players. I also need to ask, and I mean this as genuinely as I can, but the notion of a "friendly demon" is not an alien concept, have you delved into Anime or Manga at all? There truly is nothing new under the sun, nowadays...
  24. I don't think you're counting all the extra slots they get from the free powers and if they take Nova & Dwarf, not to mention their primary & secondary set having more powers in total than any regular ATs, while still being able to take regular power pools...
  25. Which powers are you talking about? The Kheldian no more needs additional slots in, for instance, their version of hover or fly, than any other AT does. Isn't it unreasonable for a Kheld player to expect to be able to 6-slot all their primary and secondary powers?
