  1. Your alignment needs to be Hero/Vigilante to gain credit towards the Day Job badge.
  2. PvP is a game mechanic. That's an important distinction. When people discuss the PvE or PvP player base - its by segregating the two between PvE and PvP that this misunderstanding develops. I PvP, I PvE. Where do I fit in this dichotomous environment? Can't I enjoy both? I enjoy base building, collecting badges, and playing the market too. Just because someone enjoys PvPing doesn't mean they don't enjoy the rest of the game too. Everybody has something they enjoy about the game that's why they play it. You may be surprised to know that PvP-focused builds don't always do well in PvE gameplay either, especially if the build relies on PvP IOs for set bonuses.
  3. Hey I went to the trouble of posting screenshots for you, the least you could do is show me what you're talking about.
  4. I guess that's one way to look at it. But fighting at level 50 gives me access to a lot more powers and enhancement set bonuses.
  5. 🤨 PvP zones are PvP zones. That is an incontrovertible fact regardless of whether you choose to believe it or not. I screenshotted some in-game messages for you in case you didn't believe me. Message before entering Recluse's Victory via Pocket D manhole: Upon entering Bloody Bay, Siren's Call, Warburg, or Recluse's Victory:
  6. My take is to leave the level caps on each zone and don't change the enemy mobs. PvP npcs are some of the toughest enemies outside of incarnate or hardmode content thanks to DR values in PvP. They're alright in my book. Edit: I've been persuaded based on discussion with others. I would like option "2. Raise Bloody Bay to 30, Sirens Call, and Warburg to level 50" because I love Siren's and would like more zones to PvP at 50. But I did still worry about the npc mobs in those zones getting borked.
  7. Is there anything from pre-alpha that has remained constant and unchanged over the past 18 years? The game is malleable and changes based on intended and unintended changes.
  8. Only when not in a PvP zone or Arena 😄 Edit: What I said the same thing as Flea and I get a confused face 😵
  9. Ha I never noticed that back on live! I figured the devs just decided they'd be an ingame character when they wanted to do an official event or something.
  10. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/33688-listing-of-devsgms-with-area-of-specialty/?do=findComment&comment=437796
  11. Not sure if it's related or off topic, but were there tip missions planned for PvP zone exploration badges? Those are so well done! And someone mentioned trick or treat from the Halloween event - I'm pretty sure the doors in PvP zones are active for that. Heck I'm pretty sure winter lord spawns in PvP zones and so do presents too.
  12. On the Beta Shard, insta level 50 tokens already exist and there is no impact on its economy.
  13. That was my first thought when I hoped on to beta - PvP Temporal Warriors gotta stay in their zones.
  14. I've tested this change out on beta and I didn't experience what you're describing. Though I'll admit I had ample capacity to fully IO out the test character however. Enhancements are necessary, absolutely. But this is a giant step in the right direction for the PvP community who have been advocating for this type of change. Lowering the barrier to entry is a great first step.
  15. There are PvP equivalent accolade powers as GM Impervium correctly pointed out, but there is also equivalent factional powers (Hero, Rogue, Villain, Vigilante) as well. These can be purchased at any Arena Vendor or in any PvP zone. Their purchase is permanent as well and only cost 10,000 inf per accolade if I remember correctly.
  16. This is a great idea and glad to see it hit the beta shard for testing. Hopefully we can get some testing done to ensure no unintended shenanigans can be had.
  17. Oh shoot, sorry. Meant those summonable pets, not teammates! Good catch
  18. Light Form is a solid self buff, and Glowing Touch is actually a pretty solid pocket heal for teammates pets/summons. Peacebringers are not the worst solo AT in my humble opinion (though I'll forfeit the fact that their inherent does rely on teammates lol).
  19. There is rain in a mission setting at the end of the Who Will Die story line.
  20. Damage dealt imo harder than damage taken. Edit: I haven't had any concrete earning to time ratio to expand upon the rarity or cost to benefit. It would require a bit more time than I've got to spend at the moment. On the other hand, I see collecting these new costume badges as optional and I don't really care what the grind is because if I want it, I'll earn it.
  21. Yeah the badge thread is getting pretty heated! 😁
