  1. Thanks. That’ll work ok for me since I usually only slot the procs from those sets in MM pets anyway.
  2. Sorry if it’s been asked already.. not trying to read 9 pages right at the moment... Do the changes to pet recharge mean no more recharge intensive pet IO sets? Because if so this severely hurts half the sets’ ability to slot all of the aura procs, no?
  3. But to be fair, 8’ radius or less on anything feels lame once you’ve tasted that 10+’ life.
  4. That’s what they want you to think. The truth is these phat cats are going to squeeze the OP until she names names so that this rogue GM double agent can be shipped off to Siberia.
  5. I just want to thank the OP for spiciest thread of the week.
  6. Not saying it’s often ideal, but I have had a few times when I needed a couple more slots more than I needed more power picks and therefore skimped on the KB protection procs. It’s very rare, but yeah, that’s why I’ve picked Acrobatics a couple times outside of PvP characters that actually need it.
  7. But newbs aren’t supposed to have the easiest time; that would disincentivize them from learning! 🙂
  8. I would start with: 1) Give web grenade the entangling arrow treatment by adding a debuff. 2) Speed up force field generator. 3) Give trip mines the devices trip mine treatment. 4) Buff time bomb. Other than that, I’m not super convinced of some of the other cited issues. For instance: - RE: debuff values of acid mortar: it’s sort of ok they’re that low because you can have two of them. - RE: triage beacon: not convinced about the desirability of the Faraday Cage treatment since you can have multiple of these as well, right? - RE: seeker drones: I haven’t used this power so not sure how good or bad it really is. - RE: caltrops and poison trap: these are both in good shape.
  9. Thanks for this one. Pretty icon colors are fun, and the current state of patron power icons has always been an unfun deviation from the rest of the game.
  10. Can you please ignore me since you have obviously had such a big problem with me for a good while now? Your not-so-subtle personal jabs are very tiresome. Anyhow, this isn’t about talking shit. If anyone wanted advice on building a character to be more resilient under newer numbers, I would happily help them in game. EDIT: it doesn’t even sound like Naraka needs help since he’s now acknowledging this is not a huge deal and more of a frustration with the narrative.
  11. You’re not complaining about nothing. You’re just complaining about something very minimal. If you really rely on such precise stun calculations so heavily on a melee character that you’re this sore about a clear net buff, I have doubts about your efficacy with that character.
  12. But the guaranteed single target stun mag functionalities never left the set, meaning the cottage rule wasn’t violated. Maybe you don’t care about that - just saying this since some folks in the other thread have been very confused about the rule.
  13. Would be better to put ATO’s and their procs in the auras. Since you only need to get a proc against a single enemy for their full effect, they’re likely to be in effect all the time even with the poorer proc rates of damage auras. For instance my latest tanker runs 5 Superior Might of the Tanker and 1 Superior Gauntleted Fist in his damage aura, so I have 2 +res procs and some absorb up all the time whereas with damage procs the aura would be less consistent at proccing than most click attacks.
  14. Please make phone players clearly marked so we know not to team with them, lol.
  15. The exact damage numbers are just a click away at all times, so it really doesn’t matter at all that the descriptions are of questionable meaning. You should look at the numbers. They’ll be a better tool to you than a word. EDIT: and just to clarify, you don’t even need mids. As a Mac user that cannot run mids, I have built dozens of characters using the in game power info tab and then organizing things in a google doc spreadsheet. No extra software required. But do still get mids if you’re not an idiot with a Mac like I am... teenager me recalls it was pretty cool so many years ago.
  16. This here is something. Bigger MMO’s have all content pretty much running around the clock. If we had our hardest content running that constantly, it’d be quite a bit different than the current status quo.
  17. You PvPers and your actual data
  18. No such thing as a mandatory power in this game besides inherents and secondary t1’s. Nothing sad about facts.
  19. Not sure what you’re getting at. Ofc it’s not the same as fast ET all the time. That was the entire point. That was always a non-starter.
  20. You can still skip Total Focus, you just can’t do both that and have the improved damage output it provides. Taking Total Focus still was, is, and forever shall be your call. And tbh, respectfully brother troo, if you can’t offer an alternative that doesn’t include having 1s ET available 100% of the time, you aren’t coming off as someone who is serious about seeking out a compromise with the devs.
  21. It is absolutely better across the board now unless you were really really concerned with precisely how much mag of single target stun you could stack up. Damage output is unquestionably better.
  22. There are a few seconds of video footage available of Joaquin Phoenix playing City of Heroes.
  23. Ice/Ice Blaster was my very first toon i0, but it lacked so much of what we have today. Absorb/recovery, wide radius chilling embrace, frozen aura damage, quick ice patch cast, and I can’t even remember if freezing touch used to do as good of damage. Wasn’t worth much besides Build Up and Shiver.
  24. All depends on how you want to play. Fire is always going to be meta for raw damage by design, but you have to also think about how much you want to be in range vs. melee etc. Fire is used more than Ice, but, if you don’t want to be a blapper, Fire may very well be the worst of them all in that scenario.
