While I absolutely agree with your basic premise, the issue in the scenario you're describing as your example is that if you rush over to tickle-taunt whatever is threatening your backline, you bring everything else with you. Besides the obvious threat implications, it also potentially affects any location based powers that had been used. Controls can mitigate this as an issue but then you have to assume they're present in your planning. Thus I'd rather maintain my situational awareness and have a tool that allows me to maintain better enemy positioning in the field. Fortunately for me I've yet to make a tank that couldn't fit taunt in the kit.

Any 1h weapon paired with SD Edit: Psi is fun too, if you like to RP the Psi aspect of the set.

Wanted to try out the new Axe set but i have no idea on a secondary
twozerofoxtrot replied to lokiie1984's topic in Brute
I'm probably a broken record at this point but I'm here once again to tell you about BA/Regen on Brutes. Slot FF+ first before anything else in your attack powers. Feel the synergies wash over you like a regen tick from Instant Healing. Upsides: Actual MinFX! (seems like OP wants this) Great for End Management while leveling Downsides: Leveling Regen (unless you're an experienced hand, then it's fine) -
Technically if you go 2 picks deep into the Teleport pool you'd have unlocked Long Range Teleport in the beforetimes. Can always rationalize using it after picking those up. 😏

Costumes, Costumes, Costumes!
twozerofoxtrot replied to Saiyajinzoningen's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
What does C mean? As in being able to take a stealth power but customize just how opaque it makes your character? I don't understand the verbiage being used. -
Hey, no worries. A fun way to spend the lunch break. Is the link working for you? I tried it and it didn't seem to for me, so I'll just drop the actual build file here in case. Tanker - Stone Armor - Radiation Melee.mbd

honoroitisfantastic what (offensive) armor for Titan Weapon?
twozerofoxtrot replied to honoroit's topic in Scrapper
Good question, most of my experience on Live is with an Ice/Stone, with just damage slotting. That might be coloring my opinion. Though even without slows, I think it's worth it for the damage and Mag 2 Immob alone.- 9 replies

I find it very useful for locking down minions from running in the absence of a taunt aura. It likewise slows Bosses and LTs, allowing kill shots to get in before they squirt away.- 9 replies

Hi there, I slapped this together based off my Bio/Rad tanker. It should Tank and do AoE damage equally as well. Lots of self healing via the Power Transfer Procs, Rad Siphon, and Earth's Embrace. Very resistant to debuffs across the board. There might be some efficiencies that could be gamed; this was a very quick turn for me. Be sure to pick up the accolades for +20% HP and 10% End ASAP. These will be crucial to capping HP and staying End-stable. View This Build In MRB

Specific to that one Unai mission, or in general?

Or put another slot in Focused Accuracy and max out the End Redux. It's a great power but you really pay for it, and on a WM/Inv build you're already deep in debt.

twozerofoxtrot replied to honoroit's topic in Scrapper
It's probably the best non-taunting secondary for Scraps. You've been missing out. I'm not sure what you mean by fluff. The T8 and T9 are skippable but that's not terribly unusual and allows for more pool picks. I didn't see Rad on your list. If you don't go Bio or Fire (which would be the most offensive oriented) then Rad. High recharge, great End management, a big absorb, a the two AoE proc bombs for when you just want to nuke without momentum up.- 9 replies

I do appreciate the insight but with seeing this I stand by my original thoughts. -
looking at a run with ice cold troller,,,i got questions
twozerofoxtrot replied to Snarky's topic in Controller
Just to clarify, I meant it's the same in that it activates 5 times per second. So the (speed) debuffs are going to apply on average regardless. I'm going to cop to saying I hadn't once, ever, considered the damage as the reason someone would pick Ice Storm. Seems like a terrible idea. -
To quote GlasDOS: You monster. Seriously though, if you're not going to take targeted buffs don't go /Cold on your secondary. It's just going to cause issues down the road on teams. Dark/Dark is about as perfect a Controller pairing as you can get. Ice/Dark would work as well. I imagine Jack Frost and Dark Servant would play great together. EDIT: I slapped this together for fun. View This Build In MRB Note: This entire thing is carried by Dark Affinity. If you dropped Ice and subbed in Dark Control it would undoubtedly do better. Teamplay Strat: Stay on your Tank like a Hobo on a Ham Sandwich. Drop Tar Patch and Ice Slick under them. Fold Space into it. Let Arctic Air do it's thing. Heal to taste. Pop Power Boost into Fade and you'll be softcapped Ranged and 41 DEF to everything else. Before incarnates. Pick the Alpha you like. A simple bind to make that work is /bind G "powexectoggleon Fade$$powexecname Power Boost". Press twice: first will cast Power Boost and the second will queue up Fade. It's not foolproof; it can be interrupted by other inputs but after some practice it's smooth. I guess your team might get buffs too. Maybe. If they're lucky. End management is heavily dependent on using Soul Absorption. Good news is using it over one corpse is enough and it's near perma. If you need extra End Management help, you have Conserve Power, which you needed to pay the tax with anyhow. I made some funky slotting choices to get Hasten 1 second off Perma. Dark's high potency/high recharge powers required this, but the good news is there's no sacrifice in capability. Fear is proc'd to be a bootleg AoE attack but should work equally well to lock up stray voltage that gets pulled onto your team by accdident. For big fat Stun Fun, Howling Twilight and then spam Frostbite over that to fish for Energy Font procs. The Stun Aura from Font should stack over Howling's stun (and the Immob will stop mob drift). If you're feeling the need for speed, you have the tools (stealth toggle + stealth IO in sprint; Teleport Target) to be the team MVP by stealthing to the objective and pulling everyone to you. Might want to kill pets first, though. Jack and Fluffy should be a nice yin/yang of control, debuffs, tankiness, and heals. Keep them nearby all the time. You can Teleport your pets to your side with these two handy macros: /macro_image "Inspiration_DmgAcc_Lvl_2" "Summon Dark Servant" "$$powexeclocation me teleport target$$petselectname Dark Servant" /macro_image "Inspiration_Recall_Lvl_1" "Summon Jack Frost" "$$powexeclocation me teleport target$$petselectname Jack Frost" Swap the Unbreakable Guard Proc and +Res IO from Temp Invul and Fade, respectively. Didn't play with this before posting, but doing so caps SL Res.

I can think of a few setups. Sonic and FF support are both pretty chill. Ice/Cold shouldn't be too bad either. -

Not really. It takes accuracy, which will help it. However the rain power activates 5 times a second. Law of averages will get your effects on target pretty quick even with some misses. If you're tight on slots, you can economize here. Uhmm... Snow Storm: No, autohit Arctic Air: No, autohit Ice Slick: Not really. It's technically autohit minus the damage which does require a roll but it's also pretty weak. Procs would require roll, but I wouldn't proc this out. The slow and KD are autohit but the KD is an 8% chance so that's why it's not always applied. Arctic Fog: No, this doesn't take Accuracy cause it doesn't affect enemies. Slot for defense or res IMO. Jack Frost: Yes, go with acc boosting picks from Call to Arms IMO. Heat Loss: Not sure. This is a weird power. I slot it with End Mod sets that have acc components anyway. Ice Storm: Not really, same as Sleet, above. I wouldn't take this though if you're already going Ice/Cold. It doesn't give you anything you don't already have. -
It's a video game, not SFAS. Relax.

Do you mean the Apparitions? They do have a badge called Disappearing Act. I'm not sure what other shadows you might be referring to. Not sure if Forlorn contribute to the Cannibal badge for Ghouls, but if they don't (I think they should) they'd probably deserve one too.

Having been very recently re-introduced to them: the Dregs in First Ward. Just about every Praetorian faction has a badge but this group. Now, to be fair you fight them in all of one mission... but still! Edit: Since you can choose to do endless repeatables via the appropriate contacts in the Survivors Compound, this shouldn't be as bad to farm up! (Tested with Vickers) Maybe something like Just Walk Away or Toecutter to seal in the post-apoc homage flavor.

Level 40 is a great time to run Mortimer Kal. Especially now that it's the WST and you get bonus exp on completion!

Repackage this as 'Prestige Power Athletic Float' and you're basically following precident.

There's Praetoria fever in the air, and I'm not immune. Bumping along the missions, reading dialog, and during Part 4 of Antimatter's arc I run into this confusing little snippet: Now... how in the world would he know that? If Praetoria was released in Issue 18 which hit live August of 2010? But Stateman dies in the events of Who Will Die 5, released in January 17, 2012? What's going on here, and what am I missing? Was his dialog changed? If so, what was the original? I couldn't find the answers on the wiki, so I'm looking for someone with a good memory and and even better hard drive of screen shots to fill me in. TIA!
