Way back when there was only CoH, I rolled a tank. She was fun to play but people expected me to do things that, honestly, my MA/regen scrapper did a lot better. Never played another tank on live. When CoV came out, doms and corrs were just meh versions of hero ATs so I never got into them. Now, I have two wonderful doms and two outstanding corrs, one of my tanks is fully incarnate and the second tank, actually I am working on her alpha right now (well, smoke/forum break). I always like to give things a second chance and even ATs I thought I hated are fun for me now.

Alphabetical order by name? Mine are in alphabetical order by AT. Its decided. We are friends now. 😁

I went Defender, because helping out my fellow heroes seemed cool. I chose storm because it sounded awesome (it is awesome). Then I flubbed. I chose energy. I figured energy comes from lightning storms (Ben Franklin tyvm) and didn't realize the mechanics of KB defeating the purpose of many of my storm powers. She was a tiny little toon in white shorts and a basic top with the long flared sleeves. She sported tennis shoes (no socks) and a top knot. Over the years, on her journey to 50, she wore many costumes, mostly white with a bright, almost dayglow, accent color. It was a love/hate relationship. I will never pair storm and energy again but I loved her spunk.

I dont think a server merge is called for. I do think we need a solution to the name situation for switching servers or if someone is squatting (not using...maybe they already left but didn't delete). Something like EmmySky@EmmySky or Sinnocence@EmmySky. So if I took Sinnocence to Torch instead of Indom, I still have my name. There is a global chat channel that uses your global instead of your local name, so maybe its a possibility. Of course, that may use a lot of (lost the word...whatever it uses) to constantly reform a database. I don't know how it works so I certainly can't find a solution, I just think it would be a good idea.

I believe that you are not trying to make characters over-powered. I will even buy that you are not trying to make a have vs. have-nots situation. However, human nature being what it is, the end result would be both. To make something desireable enough for people to chase it as an accomplishment, it has to provide a substantial boost, which will make toons MORE over-powered than they are (or have the capacity to be) now. A substantial boost that is sought after will divide the community into those who have and those who do not. Like it or not, this tends to create elitist (what I like to call nanny nanny boo boo) attitudes amongst the haves and, most often will trickle into teaming and playing. Many people on this thread have pointed out this exact interplay, we saw it happen on live and in other games. Just because you continue to be an optimist and refuse to believe in the dirty underbelly of humanity doesn't make it not so. Bravo on your positive attitude and trying to think outside the box, but in my opinion, we need to leave the 'something to strive for' at what already exists in the game if we cannot come up with a way to avoid both the over-power problem and the inevitable elitist issues.

Okay, I'm not near the standard of most people in this thread but I been working on it a bit today. Our portal hub with the passcode conveniently placed up top so when I forget it, I can find it again 😄 Our "Front Office", gives people the impression we're just a standard run of the mill magic group with little or no modern technology, and therefore, not much threat at all. (Will be changing the 'divider' in the back of the room but not sure what I want to do with it yet) My son likes spooky stuff and horror movies so on his half of the base I created a cemetary for him, where we can provide long term care for those foes we may accidentally over-arrest, or for ourselves if we happen to fall in battle. I love poking through this thread getting ideas and using the passcodes to sneak around people's bases and get more ideas! Ya'll keep up the phenomenal work 😄

If I join a team, I am happy to run however the team sees fit. For my own preference, I like to defeat everything. I go down obscure hallways and unused paths just to search out every last baddie. Even after mission complete, I have been known to keep searching. My son is the same way so we play well together. I solo a lot just so I don't impose my style on others or feel rushed. Its always nice when you get a team with the same playstyle!

So lots of fun! I was on GM Miss Best Team and we rocked it. Monster mash was super fun til my fps dropped below 2 and game locked up. Windows popped in to help with a 'such and such has stopped responding' to which I clicked close and I think that avoided the crash report....or rather it wasnt a crash just my graphics card dying from Jimmy raining down Tyrants on our heads. Still fun 😁

Make another soldier and choose the bane route at 24. PL it up if you dont wanna play it. Since they dont have to have the backpack, make a second costume without the backpack and see if that will help. Although, if you are getting it on every AT that may do exactly nothing. If it is your permanent memory thing then even deleting the crab you have might not help. A defrag or other memory cleaner might be an option but with persistant memory you may be stuck with it. Sims4.....massive base building for everyone! (Yeah I wish some sims-type items were in the base builder.) Other than that I only play silly phone games so I cant help ya with the combat bit.

My DP blaster has this issue when editing a costume...they default to a different weapon, probably the original but I dont pay attention, I just reselect my weapon of choice. It is annoying if I miss it amd notice it later while playing then wonder where her shiny revolvers went.

Street merits....for hero, found a penny picked it up....for villain, rifled the foes pockets....for vigilante or rogue could go either way. On the ' find a penny pick it up all the day you'll have good luck' thought, maybe instead of new currency it could increase insp drops (get more larges type thing). Sometimes my son and I will roll new toons and just sweep atlas, hollows, perez and steel and get to about 14. Good fun. It does get painful after that because the door mish bonus becomes noticeable and leveling really slows down. I would totally street sweep all the way to 50 if it wasn't quite so draggy.

In options...first option for earn xp should be enabled to earn xp and the second one for earn dbl inf while exemplared should be enabled earn dbl inf. This way the farm will exemplar you and the game will turn the xp you would earn into inf. If the first is set to disable earn xp the game won't award the xp that it would have turned into inf so you will get the normal inf only. Good luck!

Had a blast! Jimmy killed me in Atlas and titled me 'has terrible taste' for liking pineapple on pizza. Speed ran a TF with a team that was fantastic, no lags and no hiccups. Ran MSR with GM_Arcanum and only experienced lag down in the bowl at the height of the raid. I dont normally have issues but am glad I got to participate anyway! Thanks folks 😁

You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of the English language. Queenie asked for OPINIONS on the act of charging inf for powerleveling services. This is the GENERAL DISCUSSION board. There is no valid manner in which you can assume that people stating an opinion when asked in general discussion is in any way whatsoever 'telling people how to play'. In your usual self-righteous indignation, you have confused this not only with the SUGGESTIONS board but with a rules and conduct thread, which it is not. To come here to a general discussion board and a thread discussing opinions to TELL everyone how to "Just play the game the way you like, let other play the game they way they like, done. Sheesh. " is sanctimonious and hypocritical at best.

How did @Snarky put it? interpretive dancer on meth in the street directing traffic Yeah, that fits her perfectly what with all the coffee she mainlines, and the bio armour, properly colored, makes her look like a coffee bean (if you squint and look sideways while holding your tongue just so). Wait..how is a player, presumably looking at their screen, unable to see BOTH the fight in which they are engaging and their power trays? I mean, mine are in the default spot and I see them fine. And those things are portable, you can move them anywhere you want. One of the reasons stated in the OP was concerning focus on powers and recharge rather than the character doing battle and that has me baffled. And botting is a bad idea. If you dont want to play, dont play. I mean, I don't even use the one auto-power most of the time. Its not hard to click (or press) buttons. What am I missing?

I think in options you can choose 'free camera movement' but I am not sure where or what its under.

This was an issue I had way back on live when AE first came out. So many 50s who didnt have a clue. On HC I havent found that problem, and I am fine with PLing if that's what someone wants to do. But charging them for it? Yeah, sounds like a noob trap, too many people offer it free that if someone has been playing for a week they will have seen free farms in LFG, especially on Indom. I see them almost every day and certainly on weekend mornings.
