Everyone knows Titan Weapons and Bio Armor are OP. This powerset combo is just ridiculous on scrappers. I really doubt either powerset will get a nerf though considering how many players use them. The backlash would be extreme.

Reward Merits. It's easy to do with a decently coordinated group.

Super Group Base PVP Suggestions
Giovanni Valia replied to GM Vayek's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My thoughts, YES DO IT!! I made a separate thread in base building on this topic as well. -
Someone on a Respec mission mentioned the ping was up for them as well... Guess it's not an isolated case.

Arachnos Bases are the best maps. Enough room to maneuver, hordes of enemies, and they have a great villain lair theme. Worst mission maps? Anything involving a cramped cave. Especially CoT Caves.

Zoning to/from Night Ward causes DC
Giovanni Valia replied to catscratchfever's topic in Bug Reports
Night ward is kinda notorious for loading slowly for most people. I used to disconnect a lot when zoning in night ward. My DC problems seemed to stop around the time I started using the x64 version of CoX. -
New Weapon & Shield Models Request Thread
Giovanni Valia replied to Shadowsleuth's topic in Art & Multimedia
I'd like to see more weapon skin options for Beam Rifle and Assault Rifle. There are already some very nice looking gun models in-game that should be available as weapon skin options, i.e. chain-gun, Rikti Rifle. Heck, even having the option to use the Sapper's gun as shown in the [Nullifier Gun Mk I] temp power would be great as a beam rifle skin. -
Hands down, the worst TF/SF is Synapse. Low level with limited powers, a LONG TF, as well as being boring and repetitive. Kill clockwork, kill clockwork, KILL CLOCKWORK. I'm glad I mostly play redside. It gives me more opportunities to get revenge on synapse for putting me through that TF.

...or even better, remove Ms. Liberty and have Lord Recluse take her place. Atlas Park should be perpetually engulfed in flames as well. Now THAT would be a very welcoming sight for new players!

Why don't you play on the Villain Side?
Giovanni Valia replied to Raught19's topic in General Discussion
I think most people want to play "hero" as the themes of heroism are simple; be good and help others. That and the misconception that " no one plays redside", (LOOK AT THE POLL RESULTS). Making a villainous character is more complicated. The motives of villains can be complex and make for interesting stories. It is harder to make a good villain than it is to make a good hero. As far as game content goes, I've played some of the story arcs on blueside and have found most to be either tedious or simply boring. Gonna leave a quote here from GM Cyclone, "I think a lot of the redside arcs have better writing than the blueside ones, because the writers had more experience by the time they made them. Which makes it funny so many people don't bother with them." -
Is there a way to copy a base to another server?
Giovanni Valia replied to PeterDutcher's topic in Base Construction
This is VERY interesting. Being able to transfer bases across shards would be awesome! I think having some pre-built bases for players to use would actually get more players interested in base-building in general. The issue of design ownership is a separate can of worms. I have seen other people use my base designs, and quite enjoy seeing how they have made it into their own. My thoughts on copying bases can be summed up with this, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". -

This handcart and oven door would be nice to have for the base editor. It's found in the last section of the Hearts of Darkness arc.

I thought I'd share a little something fun I've been working on. It turns out the Destroyer ship asset has rooms that you can build inside, for those who don't know. I found this out accidentally about a month ago after trapping someone inside while building (lol). I've been building inside the ship, going for a sunken ship theme. My base's theme is an underwater Arachnos base. The ship is an enemy warship that is partially capsized. Base is on Excelsior, passcode 1-6811

Disable SG base passcode access in PvP zones
Giovanni Valia replied to macskull's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I know this thread is getting a bit old (last post in Sept.). However, I would like to know what the current plans are for base pass-codes in PvP zones. As someone who does PvP on Indomitable occasionally, I can say that there are MANY people who abuse the base pass-code tp to escape death. For me and many others who do PvP it is disheartening that this exploit has still not been fixed. The PvP experience is really diminished when people can easily cheat at anytime. -
Thank you everyone for expressing your thoughts on the viability of base raids and base combat. I have no idea how easy or difficult it would be to implement PvP in bases. Still, I would like to see some way to have player-created maps that feature a PvP or PvE option. PvE in bases seems even more unlikely as KingofMonkeys pointed out due to the current AI path-finding not registering all surfaces correctly. It really is a shame PvP gets so much hate. All of my experiences with PvP in this game have been positive. It's really all about the player's attitude when fighting in a duel or a match.

The return of base raids is something I would very much like to see. I have not seen this question answered elsewhere, so I am making this post. I have often thought how interesting it would be to construct a base with PvP in mind. Although the majority of the player-base seems to be very vocal of their hatred of PvP, there is a minority of players that have expressed interest in super-group base PvP making a return. Perhaps if there was a way to make this optional or have destroyed base assets revert to their original state after the event was over? In full disclosure, I never did play on the Live server, so I'm unsure exactly how it would be implemented. I'm interested in the community's thoughts on this.

@Stormwell76, Excellent base! I like how it is compact, yet really impactful. Most of the assets you used really fit the theme of a spaceship/ rikti warship. In particular, the stacked Rikiti particle fields are great in person. Well done!

The MacGyver Manual, or "You used X to make Y?!?"
Giovanni Valia replied to Raevyn_Darke's topic in Base Construction
This isn't anything that fancy, but I thought I'd share. For awhile I couldn't figure out how to make something similar to gold bars for my vault, until now. Banker's lamps have the right color and approximate size.- 124 replies
