  1. Funny enough I was in Warburg going for a nuke and had a 3 blaster team give a go at our 3 person team. They never paid attention to me (zombie/psn) just to the pets, I just flew around giving them my lovely debuffs while the zombies gnawed on them. It was fun for a bit then a couple people joined with them who I'm guessing were people more specialized for it and then what I thought was fun turned into a lopsided "fite clubbin". Specifically targeting my MM at 5 to 1 and then 5 vs 1 on my teammates. So we left, no biggie got shivans instead. So I gotta guess it has to be the player who's experienced vs those that don't.
  2. I too would be interested in this, good one Yomo!
  3. Both sides were bad to be honest. Yes, I do remember PvPers that were straight up @ssholes (like breaking team in WB and then attacking the team or sh!t talking or repeatedly killing people) and unfortunately how people are built the bad memories stand out above everything. But, there was alot of good fun too and unfortunately its people that ruined for the folks that genuinely liked to do it. Hell you still get people who would happily gut it out of the game over perceived things that might or might not happen and heaven forbid they did get killed in zone. "You're griefing me while I'm badging in a pvp zone"! People suck...no truer statement exists.
  4. I was thinking more of the times in zone when I was using my nin/nin stalker in SC and tp the fire/nrg blaster that was sniping everyone into my lil trap. I largely ignored the haters I was having too much fun at the time.
  5. We already have it on the forums! Yah!
  6. More experimental than anything I just want people's thoughts on the matter and its a good way for me to pass the time at work. My pvp is gone, those memories will be a highlight of remembrance of bygone days of this game. I've seen the negativity to even remotely consider it has people crawling out of the woodwork rabidly gnashing their teeth at the very idea. Its been suggested that the PvPers are bad but, I think its both sides to a degree. Besides my nostalgia dictates that "if" pre I13 pvp were to return maybe some of those good times would return, flights of fancy to be sure but, still not a bad way to pass the time.
  7. Ok so bear with me because that was along time ago and now my noggin is full of life safety and Healthcare stuff. But, was it like that? I remember my rad/rad corr being a holy terror in SC but not how.
  8. So @Troo recent thread got me to thinking about if PVE builds could be used for PVP. I was thinking of bringing it up in the thread but I believe that it would detract from his question and derail it. It was brought up also that control types would rule but, I think with inspiration management this wouldn't be the case. Plus, factoring in alot of different powersets across the ATs, I could see teams of domi/troller causing havoc but, Blasters and possibly Sentinels hitting them from ranged would equal it out to a degree. A melee type with a breakfree could really destroy any AT in close, and Stalkers would be a wildcard. Mastermind on the otherhand this would be where I would get lost, I dunno if the pets swarming coupled with whatever secondary would really turn the tide in any battle. A control type could lock them down but what if they ate a mix or ranged and melee plus you have to contend with the MM. I think a kin in any form would really be a force. But, then again so can alot of other sets. I mean realistically what could go wrong? The PVE crowd could have a fighting chance and to me PVP would go into a totally different direction. One thing of note, Incarnate abilities would be a no no. Balance or imbalance, what are your thoughts?
  9. This, it killed it for my VG, we went from arena, zone, and base raids to zip. Hell, I used my Bots/FF MM to pvp. I couldn't kill anyone but I could choke up a corridor in a base or for zone everyone wanted to pop the big bubble which left my teammates to destroy or takedown whatever was in the zone objectives. Yeah, we weren't perfect but we had fun, and for the people who tried ruining it for us all we stayed away from them and suddenly they didn't have anyone to play against which in turn ruined it for them. For everything the devs did they did do alot of stuff that p!sses me off to this day and why I wasn't around when Live shuttered. For the naysayers, if you were on a team like we had I bet you would have had fun and actual enjoyed yourself. A bad experience doesn't define the whole of it.
  10. That is a fair point indeed, I don't pvp in its current form it sucks. I used to base raid with my VG back on live then the changes came and well...yeah that was the end. I had not considered the new builds, all the sh!t to learn, etc. Plus, the sh!t talking yeah thats always fun....
  11. You are not looking at the root of the issue...its the players. When you get people who have anxiety, rage quit, fearful, etc when faced with actually coming up against another person in a gaming event you will get the exact opposite effect. PVP has its issues game wise, but, the root is the people. I find it rather humorous that superheroes and supervillains fight, as long as it's not another person. I don't think it's a rant unless I missed something, I prefer to think of it as a question on why or what your opinion is the problem that has such a low population of pvp when mostly every game out there its centric to the game both console and pc.
  12. I like zombies they are just goofy fun, I have a /Dark, /Poison, and/Electrical. Puking on people, KU knights, and the Lich locking everything down.
  13. So I just unlocked Singy we ran a Barracuda last night and had it cranked up. 2 broots and lil ole me. I found that helping the brutes by putting the stragglers into a nice pile and Wormhole>Crushing Field >Freezing Rain>Thunderclap really helped decimate the mobs and the broots worked on the hard targets. Having the horde of Coralax at the end was easy, and spinning around the perimeter of the mob using propel and gale to keep everyone in an orderly pile was beneficial to the melee folks. Stacking holds and yellow insps neutered Calastyx while the broots punched in his giblets. Leviathan on the other hand wasn't too good, I dealt with the incoming Coralax while the broots gave that Levi a black eye. Overall, a great experience couple times I pulled aggro and suffered for it. The build overall is very viable very team oriented if played correctly. There is alot to do to be successful and to me its a busy build. So for lazy button mashers its not for you, and for the people hating on KB I'm going to chalk it up to ignorance on your part. I can really see the charm of the KB>KD proc but you're not putting the mobs where you want them and not benefitting the team by not piling them up in a kill box. I think when I get to 50 I might write a guide on this combo thats how much I like it. Off beat frowned upon sets do have a place they just take some work and having tactics for multiple situations really helps out.
  14. My comparison which going back on, I should have explained better. I do not understand anxiety in a game, rl yes I get it. I deem anxiety you might feel to a rl fight not a game fight. Hence why I was saying if you feel anxiety in a game how would you react to a rl one? We've all been in them whether it be in school or whatever. That's what I was trying to say. I don't get it. To clue you in on maybe some understanding about me I have fought my whole life, I *almost* left for a certain thing thats in the news everyday. So pvp for me in a game isn't anything and that's the disconnect between us. So sorry for derailing the thread off track. Carry on.
  15. The answer is no, so quit asking and move on. I honestly do not understand "anxiety" that people feel on a game *cue the meltdown when dad takes away the Xbox videos*. I honestly wonder how people survive rl fights.
  16. When you talk about it, what I hear.
  17. I've thought about a Rad/DM tank with leadership, tp pool, and medicine pool. A team oriented debuff tanker.
  18. Its horror, the guy who did the Haunting of Hill house and Bly house did this too. I liked it more than the other two.
  19. Besides this and FB (which is only my out of state friends who play). I don't use anything else, imo its the reasoning behind most of social ills, the toxicity of society, and the "dumbing down" of most people especially our youth. Yeah, I went into rl issues but, the door was open. So no, if the devs decided to market then that's on them. Besides everytime I turn around there's an article in Massively or Gamerrant.
  20. I like the event in St. Mart vs Longbow. There should be one in Mercy to kick the terrorists aka Longbow out. Maybe a all out war between Marcones vs Mooks...I'm getting deja vu... That's right suggested all this months ago.
  21. Spoilers Anyone watch this on Netflix? I liked it, the premise of a lone island with weird stuff happening is good for me. Alot of philosophy and religion, good and evil. Although Bev was way worse than the "Angel".
  22. I think I've only taken the Sorcery pool, I'm digging the changes to travel powers more than sorcery, experimentation, etc. I've always like Epic and Patron powers for better attacks.
  23. Oh boy I second this. Stupid hand clap...
  24. Had an instance last as a Rogue team leader not being able to enter first mission. Dropped team, changed alignment to villain reformed team and no issues. Everlasting server 730ish pm eastern Kaos King toon name Cap on the Tarikoss SF
