  1. I've personally only ignored gold spammers. I pretty much ignore folks the old fashioned way, I pay them no attention. Otherwise I almost prefer to not to add them to my ignore list in a sort of "keep your friends close, your enemies closer" way. If you annoyed me that much I will remember you and know your global. Partly I think that stems from an incident way back pre-Croatoa. Recently gaining 50th level I had created a Kheld (PB) and was in Atlas Park. Got an invite to join a team. Joined and found my character Teleported to the team (teleport prompt off as per usual) But the arrival point was in mid air just off the edge of a tall building. Too taken off guard to react and not currently able to fly I plummeted landing atop mobs at ground level and kicked from the team. Okay fun times ... . While deliberating exactly how to respond I became aware of broadcast chat. Clearly I wasn't the first player this guy had griefed as the chat was making obvious. I might have just continued on with my game, maybe actually putting him on ignore maybe not. But the Broadcast chatter also made it clear the other players were new to the game. And that sealed it for me chat copied, player reported but not ignored, feel free to keep adding to the evidence you $^&%#^. Personally his stunt was barely a hiccup, but I'd be damned if he was going to do that to new players who might then have left, soured on the game and its community.
  2. If the Scrapper's critical hit bonus is the "SprCrtStr-Rcgh/+50% Crit" it's moved to Flashing Steel (no access to Mids' so can't look at the builds)
  3. On Paragon Wiki search for an article called Attack Mechanics. It will cover this topic quite thoroughly. Basically an even level minion has a 50% base chance to hit you. And no matter how badly debuffed it becomes it will always have at least a 5% final chance to hit you and no matter how badly you get debuffed or the critter gets buffed they will never have better than a 95% to hit you. --> 50 - 45 = 5. But after that the complications start in terms of figuring out exactly why that foe actually landed his attack. After you take all the to hit and defense buffs and debuffs into account you get a value and that value will be either raised to at least 5 or lowered to no higher than 95. That value now has accuracy mods applied. The foes relative level and rank also play a role in the final chance to hit usually an accuracy modifier but can involve to hit modifiers as level differences go above +5 or below 0. These accuracy mods based on rank and level are why that red con Lt and +4 level AV hit more often than 5% even when you are at or beyond the defense soft cap. Then there's both Beginner's Luck and the Streak Breaker as other complications on top of it all.
  4. Haven't been on the HC test server and currently my computer is deceased so I can't. But on Live I'm fairly certain you could level up to what ever level you wished. So level to 20 or 30 if desired. Worst case you end up with several "clones" at levels 20 30 40 and 50 to try stuff out. And as also said it is very easy to get to 30 or so on the HC servers and no worries about space on a server so just create and jump in, the water's great! You'll either be leveling past "X" or not interested soon enough.
  5. And this doesn't include discussion on the value of defense over the softcap for handling defense debuffs something the vast majority of sets (and all blaster sets) have no resistance against as far as I know. Once cascade failure takes hold you're in real trouble.
  6. And the warmth feels soooooo good on those aching old bones too.🤪
  7. Combat logs. They'll record your rolls, both to hit and damage. Maybe something will show up.
  8. No, not a change I would support.
  9. Sort of as aside related to dealing with Elude crash here's how I dealt with it on my main a Claws/SR from issue 4 onward long before sets were a thing. She acquired and both Geas of the Kind Ones and Archmage accolade powers. Just prior to the crash she'd pop Geas (it's recovery bonus is massive and will neutralize the -recovery of crash) leaving you with you 'normal' recovery rate. When the crash happened she'd use Archmage for its +defense +resistance (since all her toggles would drop) sometimes popping a blue since this was pre IO to get end back up. That was usually more than enough time to finish the current fight and get her defensive powers toggled back on. PS: Certainly be a solid way to do it on a build that's still a work in progress towards that never quite finished ultimate end game build as it was quite effective on her SO build of the time.
  10. Most of the time I would check in Mids'. When you mouse over the enhancements of a power you'll see two lists, one lists all the enhancement bonuses the other lists the "set bonuses" as far as I recall (going by memory, computer died 😥) ... which of the lists does the proc appear on?
  11. Yeah but where's the chaos and fun in that. I'll point out that Sorcery's Mystic Flight includes a self teleport ability and later has Rune of Protection for shaking off mezzes which might otherwise prevent telenuke, tele-retreat, blast as they try to chase you routine. Dead computer so can't really comment on the build itself as all I have is my phone currently.
  12. Yeah I have the same thought though zero experience to date. But unless the proc duration is relatively long and the chance to fire is much greater in a tier 3+ I'd slot it in the power I can use in when mezzed just because it can break the mez I'm currently under
  13. I have an AoE monster who is an Elec/Fire recreated from live. Just getting back into the upper 20's and lives (and dies) by all the melee and PBAoE attacks between those sets. A ton of fun and enormously helped by the new sustain power as I can recall the lengths the build was going to to help the blue bar back on live. Heh basically posted this already up thread. Just ignore the old blapper repeating himself in the corner 🤪
  14. And I think there are Roles and there are Archetypes. Pretty much all the archetypes can, to greater or lesser degrees, fill all roles as needed or required for a team to succeed. That's why we get 8 scrappers as well as lone Empath's (yeah Healer right) completing ITF's at +4/×8. And a large part of multi-role fulfillment in the game is often said to be because of the strength of the buffs and debuffs within CoX. Add a dose of invention system builds plus/minus Incarnate abilities and the lines between Roles get blurred and then some by the HUGE variety of character possibilities (even within a given Archetype and Power Sets).
  15. I do a lot of exemplar content so I doubt I'll ever not have it in my build. I still use it at 50 but I can see it being more optional at that point with so many other options available as I am more likely to open with other powers ... Stalagmites or Freezing Rain/Sleet as I am also running Storm (and Cold) as secondaries. 😁
  16. Hmm wonder if it got changed at some point (or was just always incorrect) as I recall the same thing as Awesome from back on live. Certainly vastly more useful with a 15ft rad rather than 3.
  17. Or Terrorized. ...
  18. Which is why especially on a lower level Earth I like to do it from behind something like a corner. Really hard for those baddies to return fire when they can't see you (i.e. have no LoS). And since they can't hit me a long animation is no biggie. Meanwhile like Psy said I follow up with my choice of patch(es) for those caught and further ruin their day.
  19. Okay the 7 year gap has me scratching my head ... SBB?
  20. Quite true if your defense is Shield. But the OP didn't specify in his OP what set(s) he was talking about and only later mentioned his character was an Arachnos Widow. Frankly I don't recall if any of the Veats have DDR in any amount, it's been 7+ years since I played mine. I am fairly certain none of them have anywhere near SR levels worth though.
  21. 2000+ is pretty much insane for sure. I'm not so sure SR is really a one trick pony especially with IO's involved as much as standing strongly on a different leg of the tripod of defense, resistance, health/regen. DDR rocks and pretty much eliminates cascade, but To Buffs (for the foes ... DE I'm looking at you) become that much more serious, much like a heavily resist based set gets torn apart by say Wailers prior to IO's. IO's though allow me to greatly increase my regen and health. And now there's the scaling resist as well hp increase IO's to make her even less of a one trick pony. My scrapper's build roughly doubles her regen going from the teens to 32/sec while increasing her health to over 2200 before any Incarnate considerations. Well have to run for now.
  22. Curious as to how much regen per second would you need to match your Dark Regeneration?
  23. Big fan of Earth and Dark although I've oddly enough never paired them. But yes please! Soon as I get a functional computer I'm thinking this and about 40 other builds (sheesh got to love chronic altitis) need creation.
  24. I strongly agree with everything said above. The only thing I'd say is I would not consider Quicksand skippable but that's one reason I do agree with the sentiment of "take them all" and see how things work for you. I like QS for two reasons. It's very effective for slowing most mobs to a crawl giving you time to drop other powers on them before they scatter or reach that corner you're hiding around and recharges quickly. And secondly (or is that thirdly 😁) it's a very effective one slot power. I grew fond of using a range enhancement in it as I'd often find the spot I'd want to drop it was just barely short of letting me hide around the corner unless I had that range boost ( if I didn't know better I'd think they designed it that way🤪) Hiding around the corner to drop a patch whether it's QS, VG or EQ is an excellent way to avoid eating an alpha in return.
  25. What the above posters have said. Leadership including Maneuvers would be something I'd look to obtain and I would not skip Glacier.
