  1. Inconsistently. I'll snag a few for the early levels if I am starting an AT that I am familiar with. I'll skip them at the start and level more slowly if I am not. Aside from that I've sporadically grabbed some here and there if I am feeling impatient for a specific level. Generally, not that often though.

  3. Happy by-product. Helps to pay attention to it for the sweet bonus damage on GPB, but outside ML's marginally higher chance to fire (this might be incorrect, see edit) it there's not much else to be done to make it even remotely intentional. If Concentration cancelled the lockout that would be another matter entirely, but since it doesn't .... 😛 (( Edit: I am trying to find where I saw the reference to ML and Insight. Mids description mentions a higher rate for Sweep, but not for ML. So unless I read it in the in-game description it's possible I've mixed up the two. While it is mentioned in the text description, there aren't numbers for it in Mids that I can find. )) It does, but I've never slotted for taunt on a Scrapper. AAO was always 1 slot endrdx on mine. Ah, yes, I completely forgot about this one. 😄 Yeah, PM destroys primal clockwork. I tend to do all the TFCs in-level though. I think because I level pretty slowly I tend not to do a lot of exemping in general, and with the Psi/SD scrapper I decided to go "all-in endgame build" with boosted IOs and accommodations for thematic/coolness/fun factors.
  4. Welcome to the Psi-Melee-Is-Awesome-Club. I don't have much for you in the way of /EnA, but here's what I've garnered from an embarrassing amount of time with my Psi/SD/Bod scrapper. Build is at the bottom for a Psi Melee example. Even though you're looking at typed defense there might be some ideas in there. Greater Psi Blade +Insight +Critical Hit has to be experienced to be believed in terms of damage. Leading with ML is the highest chance of triggering Insight (still random tho), so I tend to SC->ML->GPB and go from there. I haven't found a sweet spot for the Crit Strikes proc in Psi Melee yet, so I'm curious if anyone has found one they like. You'll find that some folks keep Boggle in their end-game builds, either as a set-bonus mule (the Rare Confuse Set has good bonuses from what I hear) or for occasional use. The best suggestion I've heard for Confuse is using it on DE eminators (Quartz, Cairn, Etc.), but in general I found the duration to be too short and target selection too much of an interruption for the way I like to steamroll with that character. YMMV, but by the time you've hit 50 you'll figure out if Boggle is for you. TKB is an excellent attack; however, I also skipped it even though the animation makes me giggle every time. Yes, at extreme recharge you can use the 3 blade attacks, but you'll want something to fill from time to time, or an epic blast for utility/runners/etc. Since you're EnA you won't need to shore up the blue bar which frees you up to go Mu for sure. Don't bother trying to tune a Psi Scrapper for exemping. IMNSHO: Psi Melee is a bit of a slog before GPB at 26, and doesn't come together until ML at 32, so no reason to go back and revisit those levels once the toon has surpassed them, imo. After experimenting with leveraging the massive hold in GPB with a couple of procs in other attacks, I cannot bring myself to drop them. I'm trading some fractional DPS for the ability to lock down just about anything without Purple Triangles of Doom. YMMV on that type of slotting. Here's the current version of mine for a look at the PM slotting. Also takes the entire secondary except the T9, so it might give you an idea of how many powers/slots you've got to work with. Edit: This is a Page 2 build. Afterburner is actually Evasive Maneuvers. I haven't checked for a Mids update, but I am sure one will be along shortly. 😄 Also, Force Feedback should be off when looking at recharge; I forgot to double-check before exporting. Double Edit: Page 2 wedged the Leadership Pool out of this build. Dropping that gives up < 3% defense and the benefits of Tactics, but Hover+Evasive+Combat Teleport is just too much fun, numbers be damned. 😉
  5. I stumbled upon the One Of The Eight badge while leveling my Fire/Martial. I briefly considered making 7 more /Martial variants (or just blasters, or ???) and having all of them wear the same badge title. So many tempting combinations. Ki Push just doesn't get old. It's like a good volleyball partner who knows how to setup the death-stroke. But who's got that sort of time! 🤣
  6. All of Unai Kemen's hunts. 50 of X in PI? Nope.
  7. The Bobby Lees - Guttermilk
  8. Thanks for that; I was looking for a name for my new grindcore band. \m/
  9. +1 If a persistent, or at least incredibly frequent, Invasion event is something helpful/useful/desired, then having it in an Echo sort of makes sense.
  10. Thanks for posting this. I really like this build: the Alpha slot choice (Intuition radial) is brilliant. I wish I had a better grasp on the options beyond Musculature and to a lesser degree Agility. I tried to experiment with Nerve for bit but beta client performance (even 32-bit) is far to choppy to run for very long or give me a realistic idea of how something plays.
  11. FWIW, Double Jump from the Leaping pool behaves the same way. Once it expires you'll take damage upon landing if you're falling from farther than your max leap height from Super Jump.
  12. I guess in CoH Market terms that would make me the guy who comes around from time to time in the morning offering to sweep the stoop for a few bucks. 😆 Congrats to @Icono04 and many thanks to @Yomo Kimyata for hosting the contest and the bonus prizes! Thought of many, more original, concepts for the combo I submitted after the fact - Swim Coach, Lunch Lady, mostly school related I suppose. Maybe I'll spin one up as a counterpart to the fire/mc I've been running. Either way, from where I'm sitting 500mil is a big stack to work with all at once. Usually if one of my (comparatively very few) 50s has more than 25mil on hand it's ear-marked for finishing out the build. 🤣 Mostly unrelated, celebratory dance gif in 3 ... 2 .. 1 ...
  13. Yes, I've noticed this as well. I think a few of those objects also befuddle Combat Teleport. It might be that they are objects with what is effectively teleportation immunity - which shouldn't affect targeting them, only moving them with things like the older Teleport Target and such. But that's just a not very well supported theory. Another spot where Leap didn't work was in the outer ring of the Storm Palace/Chantry - but iirc that bug was fixed during the last round of travel updates.
  14. This. That it clears Exhausted status is it's most useful feature. I don't recall the exact numbers, but it's dmg buff is significantly lower than a classic Build Up power. That first sentence is definitely an opinion, lol, but I don't think BT's damage buff alone is remotely worth the activation time. Savage/WP (brute) was my first 50 on Homecoming. Once I dug into building it up I realized how BT worked and got kinda mildly miffed at being stuck using it at the wrong times for the set's mechanics. If one is inclined to completely ignore Frenzy stacks and Exhausted, then yeah, definitely skip BT. I wouldn't go this route on a tank though, but because Rending's radius at 5 stacks with Tanker AoE radius buffs has to be downright ludicrous. As in approaching Judgement radius ludicrous. Assuming the effects stack. At high recharge Shred is sort of extraneous - the set is fast enough to just not need the 3rd AoE - so that makes RF the only spender. The goal is to get Leap down to the 15 second range without slotting it with any recharge enhancement. This is Savage's secret sauce. At it's native recharge it is in a proc-bomb sweet spot. I want to say I've seen it down to 12s when Force Feedback fires off and Hasten is up, but I haven't played my Savage toons in a while. Since the OP is running Invul/ the option to drop Gaussian's in Invincibility (er, might have the name wrong, the scaling to-hit/def aura) and re-train to use BT re-actively for the Savage mechanic, rather than pro-actively as with a classic BU power but with a much, much lower dmg buff and potentially wasting/ignoring it's use to re-fill stacks immediately after they're spent. Numerically, it could be the case that having the proc in the "on-demand" slot and ignoring the whole BT/Exhausted inter-play is actually a better "damage buff over time," but knowing in the back of my mind that I am really only hitting BT because of Gaussian's sort of started to bother some of my more finicky and retentive traits. 🤣 FWIW @KauaiJim I've been meaning to spin up this combo on a scrapper, but I recently started something else that turned out to be a massive surprise so my time in game has been on that toon for some time now. 🤣
  15. This. After building up a Kat/Rad scrapper and an in progress Rad/Rad tank I definitely endorse this suggestion. I don't know anything about ice melee so can't speak to it. But an Ice/Rad brute could have some nice thematic synergy, if that's a metric by which you measure. Drop a Theft of Essence proc into Rad Therapy - which is a solid heal in its own right - make it a proc-bomb or enhance for heal to taste. Energy and Toxic damage become irrelevant to you and on a Brute it is probably pretty easy to get near if not to S/L resist caps as well. It was very nice taking a big stack of Toxic resist against Arachnoids for a change.... Oh, and Sappers, /Rad armor laughs at pathetic little Sappers. Thanks to Rad Therapy and Particle Shielding, the latter of which is trivial to make permanent. Beta Decay isn't a dmg aura, but a Brute can (for giggles mostly, not really an ideal use of slots) drop 4 dmg procs into it, fwiw. Mostly it's there for the debuff and the aggro magnet though. There's a cold resist hole which mostly doesn't matter, though it becomes more noticeable in the DA arcs as Pantheon do a fair amount of cold dmg. There's Fear/Confuse hole, but protection against those is pretty rare in armor sets anyway. Fear is more common than Confuse, but both are rare enough that the gap doesn't have much impact. Meltdown is a usable T9 with a damage buff and a "crash" that can be ignored. +33% damage for Brutes/Tanks, so it may or may not be worth fitting. It's higher on a Scrapper (probably also Stalker), and I've had good results with it on that toon. Yeah, /Rad. Good Set. I do remember enjoying my /Ele brute back in the Long, Long Ago, but I haven't played one on HC yet. Also a very good set. Claws/Elec is a classic steamroller. Hmm... Claws/Elec .... with SPIN!!!! ??? 🤣
  16. It should work in multiples now. Briefly fiddled with it early on in the beta.
  17. FishWarrior: Online. I'm into it. What's the base speed on that fish, and how many tons of space to I have to work with when I strip it of it's sub-par original load-out? 🤣
  18. Can't pull anything specific at the moment (on a work break atm), but if one looks closely at the detailing in many costumes on cinematic and TV series super heroes it is easy to find bits that look like various CoH costume parts - particularly shoulder, glove, and boot pieces. Could be coincidental, but I'd like to think some of those designers were players back in the Long Long Ago.
  19. The thread: Round about halfway through is where folks really start posting builds, challenge settings, and screenshots of completed runs.
  20. StJ/Regen Brute. What, am I the only one that noticed that FH now actually uses those enhancements? 🤣 Mostly j/k, I've wanted to setup a Regen brute for a while, this was as good an excuse as any. 😛
  21. At the risk of derailing this awesome thread ... can I just say "omfg, apparently I need to LRN2PICKPWRPOOLS on Blasters"
  22. Yes. I'm in the "Skip Boggle" camp, but others have found it useful for their play-style. The general impact of "mobs resist psi!" is greatly over-stated save some outlier cases like Siege and Nightstar with their 70% resistance. Burst damage, and lots of it. Greater Psi Blade with Insight Up and a Critical Hit is a sight to behold. Mass Lev Crits are also quite potent, in general when a Psi attack crits, something is getting hurt badly. Psi Scrappers melt hard targets. Also, I tend to prefer faster attacking sets on Brutes because of the old days when attacking constantly was necessary to keep up Fury. Psi is a slower set, GPB and ML are the set's high water marks, and the activation times on both are quite long. Seriously. Shield. 😄 Here's a version of the scrapper I mentioned in your thread asking about the pairing on Brutes.
  23. May I introduce my new, very sexy friend Martial Combat? Burst of Speed + Combat Teleport is a fantastic way control the range of an engagement. Fire/MC is the first blaster I've taken seriously and it's ludicrously fun. I don't have a finished build for it, and you're likely to come up with one far superior and much more rapidly anyway. 🙂 Also, see below, Fire/ might not be the primary you'd want. Reaction Time is a zero cost toggle that drops a nice amount of slow and some -rech. It's more useful than it sounds when you're BAMF!-ing around. There's a ton of KD in Storm Kick and Dragon's Tail (both quick to activate), and a decent Stun in Eagle's Caw. Ki Push when used properly can keep certain hard targets completely neutralized. But let's find you some more debuffs in the primary. Easy, this can be done with anything. 😄 Also easy. I have only just begun to add iPowers to my only blaster at 50. /MC's fun factor is enough for me to recommend it. Totally feel you on this. I had a concept of how I wanted my Fire/Martial to play/what combination of powers I wanted (melee sets didn't fit the bill, but when I saw Martial it was spot-on) more so than it's backstory or theme, but I came up with one anyway. If I was going to make another /MC I'd go Water Blast. BoS into a mob and drop Whirlpool, which stacks slows with Reaction Time use your CT bind for shift-s to port back and fire the Steam Spray (assuming it is good), then BoS back to melee ... etc/etc. Or lead with the tAoEs then BoS into melee to get them in your aura and clean-up. Water/Martial Combat ... Sort of writes itself if you're into homage/tribute (not copies, obviously) type toons at all. Feel like being a wizened, if portly Elder of either gender from a Miscellaneous Polar Tribal Culture? 😉
