  1. Good question. My guess would be that a one-click macro is not possible since the system currently opens a selection window. However, based on how the game is actually coded, this might range anywhere from 'easy enough to add' to 'not possible without a major code rewrite'. I would be interested to see a reply from the devs on this.
  2. But that's normal. Many powers are better for some people than others. What use does a Willpower tank have for Hasten? Contrast that with how useful Hasten is to a Dominator. Most people don't take Teleport because they feel it's difficult to use. But it seems that most Stone tanks do take it.
  3. To paraphrase what Jimmy said to another player in one of these threads, you've made YOUR opinion perfectly clear. Constantly harping on this doesn't help anyone. The original implementation on the beta server had shortcomings, there was feedback, and now we have an improved version. Based on the thread replies, most people are now satisfied. We ALL know that you aren't happy with it. I get that you're passionate about this game. So am I. But arguing and arguing is not productive.
  4. Gifts from Mender Silos. As he says in one of his monologues, he is from millions of years in the future, far past what the 'Carbon Law' allows, but "That's not the first rule I've broken." 🙂
  5. This is a completely invalid comparison. The Echo zones are 'removed' content. They have no contacts and no missions. The Praetorian zones are current, active zones. You can create a new character tomorrow and level them up as a Praetorian. Not even slightly similar.
  6. It's not just beam rifle. I was attacking with melee (broadsword) attacks and I would constantly be pivoting from facing it straight on to aiming off to the side.
  7. Do we actually need to point out that the team of VOLUNTEERS who are actually doing the work are the ones who set the priorities? Should I also mention that, since they receive no payment for their efforts, they are clearly doing this because of their love for the game and are doing what they think is best for the game?
  8. The POOL looks much better, but the Teleport power is not being changed. As part of the revamp of the pool, the zone to zone power (Long Range Teleport) is being REMOVED from the set and replaced with a power that has some similarity to Wormhole. Long Range Teleport will become an accolade power. I have Teleport on several characters. Of course, my stone tank has it, but I also have it on a scrapper, invuln tank, defender and stalker. When you need to go a long distance, absolutely nothing is faster except one of the mission teleporters (which is only useful if you're going to a door mission). Drop one end reduction in it and you're good to go. On my defender, I have two set pieces (range and range/endred) and it's REALLY fast. Two caveats: 1) If you're going less than 400 yards or so, you're better off with ninja run or most other travel powers. 2) If you have lag or latency issues, you will HATE teleport. I have always had a fast computer and good internet so it's fine.
  9. Donated! Third time we were able to get in on time. 🙂
  10. Well, it was two different groups of people making each of those arguments. Plus, the new Fast Travel menu solves the too many buttons issue. The Pocket D Teleporter would just be one more option in the pop-up menu.
  11. But - if we're talking about two separate powers, you can use them back to back. Consolidated into one power, they share a cooldown. Edit: And SENTIMENTAL VALUE! 😛
  12. Almost. A lot of people (myself included) have set up macros or keybinds for multiple bases. This way they will still work.
  13. Mainly that, as a separate power, it would have its own recharge.
  14. Me too. 😞 In anticipation of this update, I went through all my characters and had them spend the time in Pocket D to get the power. Also, Pocket D just seemed different and special. I mean, I have the actual, physical Pocket D VIP Pass sitting on my desk right now. On the other updates: The Fast Travel Menu is nothing less than spiffy! The icon is cool; the menu is simple and well-implemented and it elegantly addresses the issue of taking up tray space. Bravo. QUESTION: I never had any of these in my tray - I use keybinds. Since the menu calls the powers by text, I assume using keybinds for the powers will be unchanged. Is that correct? Long Range Teleporter - Can't complain. My first thought was getting just a single exploration badge made it too easy, but if we replace "too easy" with "casual friendly" I think it makes it easily accessible to a lot of players who would never even consider trying to get all the zone accolades. And after leaving enterbasefrompasscode in the game for so long, this should satisfy most people. All helicopters to and from PvP zones are now connected. Damn. I never gave that a single thought, yet it makes perfect sense and makes things much simpler. Everyone will have their favorite helicopter location to use for all the zones. So. . . absolutely brilliant second pass on the update.
  15. It baffles you that two hours of time per character might bother some people?
  16. (snort) You debunked nothing. As it stands, it's hours per character. Sure, there may be changes before it goes live. Which is why it needs to be emphasized now how onerous it is.
  17. To be fair, LRTP is apparently an edge case and presumably very few people chose it, so we're probably giving it too much thought already. 🙂 I just think taking away options because they aren't very popular is never a good idea in a game. On the other hand, I think the new accolade power is awesome, because my main character will have full access on day one.
  18. NONE of them were under two minutes so this isn't as trivial as you suggest. PI: 2:52 (Poor starting spot.) Talos: 3:57 (Had to go around a few things due to lack of jump height.) IP: 4:05 (Shave off about 30s with more jump height.) Terra Volta: 4:29 (With jump pack or flight this easily could have taken only two minutes) Atlas: 2:19 (jump height handicap again.) KR: 3:16 Having said that, this isn't a problem to *ME*. I already have every exploration badge on my main character and many many zone accolades on other characters. I spend time GRINDING content of every sort. But for a lot of people, this is enough to be really burdensome. I think it's fair to say that most players are casual players.
  19. BS. People need to stop saying this nonsense. It's being locked behind literally HOURS of running around getting badges if you want more than a handful of zones. That's not being 'moved' somewhere; that's a completely different mechanic than picking it from a power pool. Doing this to the people that took it as a pool power is CRAPPY. The only possible ameliorating factor is that it might be a tiny, tiny number of people who took it. But I don't know that and neither do you.
  20. This sounds like a REALLY good idea. It might need some tweaking because that sounds like a lot of 'bang' for one power pick. But it's a good direction to think about. As for removing LRTP. . . I'm of two minds on this. I have never taken this power on any character because it seemed so useless. But that's me. To remove it from the people that wanted it enough to take it (and the previous power picks to open it up) just feels like a really HORRIBLE development decision. Of course, there's an important metric about which I have no information. How many people actually took it? For all I know, only 35 players ever took the power and they're all here screaming on the forums about it. Hopefully this was data-mined and taken into consideration. Having said that, would it be an option to expand the Teleportation pool to SIX powers - adding the new fifth power but also keeping LRTP?
  21. Historically, scrappers have been called the 'boss killers'. Their job has always been to take out the toughest opponents faced by the team. Soloing AVs and GMs has always been an edge case. I doubt that even 10% of people who play scrappers and brutes build them for this purpose. I soloed a GM once, on a controller, just to see if I could. I soloed an AV once, on a defender, because I had my settings wrong and didn't want to repeat the entire arc.
  22. Fair enough but, to be fair, I think we can consider you an edge case. Most people (as far as I know) don't solo AVs. 😉
  23. A better question, am I not taking something he needs. No. As for his secondary it's regen. OOOO! That gives an endurance power. Yeah, and I'm running Focused Accuracy and still don't need Conserve Power. As for dark armor, my dark tank ran 10 toggles. Sure, with 10 toggles he DID use Conserve Power but, back then, we didn't HAVE Incarnate powers to compensate. All I'm saying is that most of the forum complaints about endurance management are due to the build. Maybe they're using SO's. Maybe they don't really grasp how to use IO's. Maybe they took certain powers for concept reasons and prioritized that over sustainability.
  24. Then they don't know how to build their characters. My dark defender runs all 3 toggles plus Shadowfall and solos just fine (i.e. attacking non-stop). This is at level 38 with no Body Mastery or incarnate crutches. My scrapper runs Assault and Tactics *AND* Focused Accuracy and his Incarnate powers are focused on DAMAGE. And from Body Mastery he took only Focused Accuracy and Laser Beam Eyes. He doesn't need Physical Perfection or Conserve Power. All of my defenders take all 3 toggles (because defenders get the largest bonus). My controllers usually take all 3 because they also affect your pets. If your teammates have pets, they are also affected. The limit on the toggles is 255 targets. You can have 8 masterminds and every pet will be affected (within a 60' radius). I'll admit the endurance cost is a concern while you only have SO's. Once you get IO's, though, it's not a problem.
  25. Remarkable bird, the Norwegian Blue. Lovely plumage. He's just pining for the fjords.
