  1. Thank you! This was going to be my addition to the topic.
  2. As an aside here, calamari isn't automatically rubbery - only when it's poorly prepared.
  3. I like the exchange in the movie 'Unforgiven'. "Yeah, well I guess they had it comin'." "We all have it comin', kid,"
  4. The 'Serenity Prayer', written by Reinhold Niebuhr in 1932-33. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
  5. hmmm..... So was I. I wonder if we were on the same team.
  6. They had it coming.
  7. Weird. I have the option enabled on every character and can open the pet window even on characters who get no pets. It's empty, obviously, but I can open the window.
  8. You fail to consider the number of parents who were thrilled to return to this game and to be able to show it to their children.
  9. The window can be opened by anyone. All pet commands are NOT greyed out, depending on the pet. The incarnate Lore pets are controllable.
  10. That is not possible anywhere else. The only reason they had that data is that it was STOLEN from Paragon Studios and given to Leandro.
  11. Yes, Overdrive is a woman. That's for sure. I forget what movie it was, but the director used a full strength fire hose for realism and it ruptured an actors ear drum and made them pass out from the pain.
  12. Also worth mentioning, you can store a huge amount of stuff in the Auction House, which you can access any time you are NOT inside a mission or base.
  13. Someone already answered this, but I want to add something. For me, a major quality of life item is the existence of bind files. Any power that I have in common across multiple characters (Nemesis Staff, Recall Friend, base teleport, Ouro Portal, etc, etc), I set up a keybind. Then, when I create a new character, I type in the chat window: /bindloadfile c:\data\text\coh\binds_main.txt and that loads close to 30 keybinds. And one of THOSE keybinds loads the chat file with a single keypress to configure my chat window.
  14. Some people farm a lot. Some farm a bit. Some don't farm. That's really two questions. Will you be the only person in Boomtown? Probably. I hate Boomtown. 😛 Seriously, though, so far I have six level 50's and that is with ZERO farming. Also, I don't do Mothership Raids or Hamidon Raids until AFTER I'm level 50. What I do is A LOT of task forces. That's my preferred way of leveling.
  15. Yep. I always solo it on a scrapper, brute or tank. On a 'squishy', I don't even try. I always ask someone to join me with a scrapper, brute or tank.
  16. Just because you have to fight someone doesn't make them a villain. A person can get drunk and violent and you have to deal with them. It doesn't make them a villain.
  17. This. I have one character with about a two-foot height difference between costume slots. When I switch, I can see the entire field of view shift up or down.
  18. The last time I saw Veracor on Everlasting, he had 3017 vet levels. The immediate priority after training to 50 is to do Mender Ramiel's arc to unlock the Alpha slot. Once you unlock that, you start earning XP to unlock the next two incarnate slots. Otherwise the XP goes toward unlocking the Alpha. Ramiel's arc takes 20-30 minutes but one mission is a challenge for most AT's to solo (fighting END-draining Captain Holtz and The Honoree at the same time).
  19. Again? Are you referring to the company that was OWNED by NCSoft as 'kissing their ass'?
  20. Just need one small adjustment...... Home of Heroes and Villains
  21. I think a plaque at the 'safe rock' would make perfect sense, but it should be about the players. All over the zones, there are plaques about the history of the city, but some of the recent history has been created by the players. The devs didn't designate the safe rock; we did. I think there should be a new history badge which you obtain by visiting plaques around the city that commemorate what the PLAYERS have 'decided'. For example: the safe rock for Hamidon raids Point du Hoc for Mothership raids Pocket D for roleplaying I would have said something about the costume contests in Atlas Park but a plaque already mentions that. But you get the idea.
  22. For some of the incarnate powers, it's worth having more than one so you can pick the one that is most useful for specific content. For example, in the Destiny slot, Clarion is recommended for the Underground iTrial. Incandescence is used by raid and team leaders in many trials and is very handy in the Keyes iTrial. Personally, in that slot, I have two different Barriers, Clarion, Rebirth AND Incandescence - although Incandescence is only tier 3 so far. I also have two different Lore pets - a high DPS one for certain trials and a buffer for when I solo.
  23. No, that's entirely correct. I have the comic and re-read it a few months ago. In fact, I have it in front of me now. Manticore: "Did I just shoot through somebody?" Synapse: "Looks like we all got little improvements from Prometheus. Congratulations on your very first super-power, Manticore."
  24. Jim Temblor's arc has a mission where you need to destroy the night widow Nocturne's escape sub.
