No, not for Taunt. As Hyper noted, it's auto-hit. I missed that one and would have recommended a Perfect Zinger +psi damage proc, instead. I use that on almost all my tankers. Finally, you can put a Force Feedback +recharge proc in Kick. Even if you don't have Kick in your attack rotation, it's fun to use in long AV fights, just to see if it fires. I also use Kick on Rage crash on SS toons, because it doesn't do much damage anyway, but if the proc fires, free bonus! Finally, I just hate empty slots on my Enhancement screen or in Mid's.

Looks solid, just a couple of suggestions: -Move one of the three slots in Hasten to Health (diminishing returns on recharge), and drop the Preventative Medicine +absorb proc there. Up the level of the two remaining recharges in Hasten, to get some of that back. -Replace the Efficacy Adapter in Stamina with a third piece of Performance Shifter (will net 35 HP). -Toxic is one of the only holes, so I would move the Armageddon damage proc from Soul Drain to Siphon Life, for the six-piece bonus...but I totally get why you'd want it in an AOE. Minor/personal preference tweaks to a great build. Well played.

Scrap: DB/WP, because I made him immediately after those two powersets were released on Live. Hella fun on only SOs, back in the day. Remade him on Homecoming and nearly unkillable now completely kitted out. Non Scrap: Rad/Rad defender on Live...highly sought after for AV debuffing. You know, back when team mix/teamwork mattered 🤣 Remade him on HC, but not needed much.

^---this and also me We do go back and do all the TFs (on WST rotation) on Tanker Tuesdays, so actually do (occasionally).

I, too, failed to get any screenies, but I'm blaming my desktop... I agree with Ronin. Great times were had (41 min. for the 1st Kahn team), with much leveling fun. Thanks to A to letting me join the mission team, late, and I got there in time for both Infernal and Chimera. See you next week on Everlasting!

Fire Blast - Thermal Corrupter Character Idea Build Feedback
PLVRIZR replied to T3chno Fr3ak's topic in Corruptor
Looks like you went procc'd out max damage. I usually play tanks, so focus on survivability, then support, then damage. I also make only leveling builds and play them from scratch. Also like to ex down for all the classic TFs, at will. My take on Fire/Therm came out like this (no procs or incarnates included): Soft capped Ranged def., 70% S/L res., 7 pts KB prot. https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1424&c=688&a=1376&f=HEX&dc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hated to leave Melt Armor on the table, but Thaw is not only a great support buff, but takes the Steadfast def. unique. Also chose Power Mastery, for Temp Invuln., but Force of Nature is a 2 min. panic button that puts S/L res., WAY over cap (108%). Even Power Build Up adds 7% def., across the board, in addition to being a great personal buff for everything else. Not saying I can main tank, by any stretch of the imagination, but there have been plenty of situations where FIREBLLR carried the team long enough to prevent full team wipes. Just another take on Fire/Thermal, YMMV. -
Solo? At what diff? The upgraded PP Elites are no joke, either...
-
LOL, always the salesman... 🤣
-
As @Zepp said, add the Freebird +stealth unique in Hover, and have the best of both worlds. You do have to be hovering, to gain the stealth (and it drops in combat), but you can put the Celerity +stealth unique (mutually exclusive with Freebird, so pick one) in Sprint, if you would rather run through maps, stealthily.

My pleasure, Ronin. We had a great mix of veteran and new (to TT, that is) tankers. (And nice to team with you again, @Myrmidon). Yes, 8 tanks can (and will), melt mobs. I didn't get any screenshots, but in the next-to-last mish, we herded, basically the entire map, to the final room. Even with emanators, we vanquished the DE in no time. Not knowing several of our team, we only ran at +1, but finished in 49 min. MUCH leveling and hella fun. If you haven't tried a TT event, you're missing out.

I'm on with FRZRBRN. Meet at IP gate in KR. Ronin's on as "Flummoxed Lummox" and will be leading, tonight.

I "met" @Heraclea, at a Tanker Tuesday event and long before their passing, and made this guy (Inv/DM), as an homage to Hera, as their namesake was Inv/DM. You're right...stupidly tough and glorious: https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1460&c=728&a=1456&f=HEX&dc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

Will be better equipped to comment on your posted build. One caveat: I have a very durable Ice build, but with Stone Melee as the secondary, rather than spines. As for the other questions (and pertaining to Ice Armor): -I skip Hibernate. Spine Burst: I would keep every AOE in your toolbox. Always. -Yes. I would keep every AOE in your toolbox. Especially damage auras. Always. You will be an aggro magnet, which is a good thing. On my particular build, I six-slot Icicles with MoT. Some agree and some poo-poo the ATO procs in auras, as you will probably never get triple stacks. This build doesn't need it and I like the "fire and forget" nature. Even with only one stack, the build has excellent resists. -Energy Absorption: I six slotted LotG, to add to already strong defenses and to gain the global recharge, accuracy and resistance bonuses. -AVALNCH tanks everything. At level 54 content, he uses Ageless Radial for DDR, to keep the strong defense numbers up. Shield, he isn't, but anything short of trying to solo Lord Recluse at +4 is doable. A built well shield tank is the premier def based armor. Inv is hybrid, so with Def + Res, and when built to the max is, in my opinion (and I'm an admitted Inv fanboy) the strongest armor set available, for all content. I wouldn't call Ice "underperforming" overall, but it certainly isn't at the very top of durability. That's just reality. There was a healthy discussion about Ice Armor, here, as well:
-
Good to know. In the absence of any detail, I assumed solo...
-
What level 801 were you planning to tackle? @Linea describes 801.2 as the "base" difficulty. Your only build hole, that I can see, is no DDR.
-
My pleasure, WB. Six tanks at +2 in 1:06 (kill most) wasn't half bad. Even with the Crey upgrades with PP "Elites" and those wicked debuffs, we had no defeats. Nice to see some of the regulars, who moved their toons Indom and really nice to see and welcome the new tankers.
-
I just taunt and herd some more and, if I'm in the right spot, I hit a group with Sands of Mu (which is unaffected by the drop)...
-
No worries. If you look back at when I posted it, I stole (uh, borrowed/cobbled) many ideas from Hyper and @Infinitum, so all good. I did intentionally pick Pyre Mastery for ST hold in Char (and +absorb) and debuff with Melt Armor.
-
You have great taste (that's the NUTCRCKR build) and took it more toward @Hyperstrike's "Mo Durable" build. NUT's practically unkillable, even against psi, so yes, I would categorize it as "extremely powerful" 😆
-
"Well I can't just call you 'man' You could say 'Dennis'. I didn't know you were called Dennis. Well you didn't bother to find out, did you?" Love Python, love the Grail...
-
LOL, no worries. By the time I made PLV (what @Warboss and everyone calls me on Tanker Tuesdays) on Live, "Pulverizer" was already taken. By the time I found Homecoming (Feb. 2020), most of my other names were also taken, so I stuck with the license plate theme, for the most part.
-
Fire will never be as durable as other primaries, but you can do a lot to make it a lot "less squishy". If you would post your build, many will make suggestions on improvements (like have you slotted the ATOs and, if so, in what powers). Having said that: -Fire needs to kill more quickly than other tanks. Dead foes can't hit you back. -Stone Melee has a whole lot of mitigation. Foes on their arse can't hit you back. -Incarnates can close holes in Defense or Resistance (if you're 50+). You can also get DDR, which fire tanks desperately need. I don't have a Fire/Stone, but @Sovera is the fire tank guru, so a quick search might glean more. My only Fire tank is Fire/MA (because of the Def. adds of Storm Kick - Sovera's Brunker build, basically). I run a ridiculously durable Ice/Stone tank, with lots of mitigation from stone melee, so if you want either of those builds for comparison, I'll post or send 'em to you.
