  1. Moved to Archetypes forum 😃
  2. Okay fellas, let's keep it friendly. On one hand, yes, those defense numbers aren't ones you'd see in combat. Unsupressed Stealth is adding about 11% defense. While in Mids, if you go into Options -> Configuration -> Effects & Maths tab, you will see on the right checkboxes with various effects, such as attacking or being attacked. So checking off "hit by foe" will lower Stealth's defense bonus from 11 to 3.85, which is what you'd see while in combat. Therefore, boasting a "50% s/l def" rating is kinda disingenuous. On the other hand, it's doubtful many people know about that option in Mids, so it would be better to educate people on the specifics, instead of just saying "look in options". Also, that's a program setting, and isn't saved on a per-build basis. With that out of the way, let's keep sharing builds, hmm? 😃
  3. Okay folks, rein it in a bit. No sense bringing up real-life economic issues when we're all here to ignore that sort of thing for a while. If one takes an exceptionally BROAD meaning of "manipulating the market", then, that's something we're all guilty of. Every time you bid for something, you're increasing demand. When you bid low, you're trying to reduce it's going price. When you bid high, you increase it's going price. When you sell items, you're increasing supply, and doing so at a price point you desire. Or, if you vendor things, you're denying other players access to those specific goods (well, not specifically, since, you know, everything's bucketed... but still). But, that's a cheeky way of looking at it, I'll admit. The good news is that this sort of thing will likely be self-correcting in time. Just wait it out until whoever is doing this gets bored?
  4. Moved to suggestions and feedback, where the devs are more likely to see it 🙂
  5. Part of me is morbidly curious to see how far this goes... but my better judgement disagrees. So, back on topic, folks!
  6. So, this is more of a question about archetypes rather than a general topic, so I'll be moving the thread to the appropriate place 😃 But yeah, welcome to the game! I know you'll find a good build or three that delivers exactly what you want!
  7. Carnival of Shadows 😃
  8. Alright everyone, take it easy. Whenever a suggestion like this comes up, I like to inform/remind folks that not only is it not "easy" to just plug and play stuff from other servers, but that we wouldn't do so without signed permission. Just because it's "out there" doesn't mean that Homecoming considers it "up for grabs". If/when we ever do get MM customization, we'll do it our own way. Also this thread had turned into crap, so, locking it up.
  9. Yeah, sorry for the mess. We're still investigating, though it seems fine as I type this.
  10. I'm just... going to shut this down before you get meme'd on, or worse. Be well.
  11. I concur. Sorry all, but let's just let this whole thing drop for now, alright?
  12. And i just realized: when this happens, please send a support ticket! If a GM is available, we can unstick her. At the very least, we can get a metric on how often she's actually getting stuck.
  13. This is an issue the devs are aware of, and I thought they patched it? Maybe it's a "coming soon" thing. Either way... what's happening is that her "default stance" is the hovering sitting pose. If she loses sight of her escort, she assumes this stance for a moment, clipping her into geometry. We're not looking to change the mission ... the TF takes a very small amount of time as is. I feel like removing the escort would come with a merit reward deduction, as the escort is the only thing that takes any amount of time (except an underprepared team against 10 AV ambushes in a row)
  14. While it's not your (or anyone else's) responsibility to police the build choices of others, I wonder if in this case, it might have been beneficial to reach out to the player in question? "Hey, I see you're dying a lot and not able to keep up. Is everything okay?" Based on your description, I would go so far as to say their powers weren't even enhanced at all. Though this would be putting yourself out there, and not everyone always has the time or patience to walk someone through building their character. At the very least, you could point them to a few guides or the Help channel or something. It's hard to distinguish malice from ignorance, especially online. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I would hope (but know it's too much to expect) others to, as well. That's the kind of culture we'd like to cultivate 😃
  15. So, I just hid a lot of posts. Like, half the thread, damn. Allow me to make a few things clear here, folks. The Homecoming Devs and staff want CoH to be a game that is open and accessible to EVERYONE. If there are certain effects or powers that cause issues, even if it's just for a small number of people, we WANT to know. The devs actually previously spent a LOT of time with a single player who had issues with Disruption Arrow's FX. BUT, we need to know who these players are so we can get their feedback on any potential changes. We'd hate to just blindly guess what would work, only to make things worse! So please, encourage anyone having issues to submit a ticket or make a thread detailing what's going on, so we have something to work with. Second, allow me to reiterate part of our Code of Conduct: The following is considered prohibited content: Hate speech: Hate speech is defined as anything threatening or abusive towards a specific group based on their race, religious beliefs, political affiliation, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity I'd consider "Getting sick from seeing fx on a screen" to be pretty darn debilitating. So I'd like people to more carefully consider their objections when suggestions like these are made. I'm all for back-and-forth and constructive criticism and disagreements, but if it's seeped in "I don't care about your disability", then it's not valid to post. Thank you. Let's keep it kind!
  16. Just letting everyone know that we GMs are still watching this thread... Keep a lid on those spoilers! There's always a chance things will change or get dropped from the update, so, we don't want to tease things that might not even make it to Live. I was gonna make some cheeky comments with some hinty-semi-spoilery stuff, but, I decided against it. Sorry! But I will say that work on Page 4 is coming along nicely. Sadly, I don't have a time-frame for ETA to Open Beta. I would guess that we'll have something for you all sooner rather than later, but that's all it would be, a guess.
  17. I can certainly appreciate your desire to play the game smoothly. Unfortunately, we don't have any current plans to open any new shards, or move/merge any existing ones. I'm not saying these things will never happen, just that it isn't in the cards at the moment. Sorry =(
  18. Yeah, we do prefer questions about powers going in either the archetype forum, or the respective archetype subforum. So, moved 😃 As for the other threads you may have found while searching, well, those were from a while ago, and we try not to move too many older threads around if we don't have to.
  19. Skyway City Coordinates: [268.1 -96.6 -3822.4] A set of phone lines just... END in mid-air.
  20. Questions about scrapper characters should go into the Scrapper section; thanks 😃 (And also, topic moved)
  21. While General might get "more views", you might not necessarily get the specific answers you're looking for, so I'll be moving this thread to the Excelsior section 😃
  22. I may be misunderstanding, and if so, I apologize, but: This should not be the case. ALL Uncommon salvage is bucketed. That is to say, if you sell a Mutant Blood Sample, and I want a Sapphire, the game will sell me your Mutant Blood Sample and turn it into a Sapphire. So there should be no "This uncommon salvage going for 5k while another piece goes for 50k". Now, timing wise, yes, the prices can fluctuate wildly in the span of a given day, and sometimes the UI displays the wrong history. But individual pieces shouldn't have their own prices.
  23. *sigh* Look, we don't have a "No thread Necromancy" rule, but now it just looks like drama is getting stirred up again, so, locking it up.
  24. Moved thread to Help and Support. But @ZorkNemesis hit it on the head. If you're solo against it, you might not have reached the participation threshold.
