  1. er . . . um . . . how, uh, "steamy" can these submissions be? Got a lot of great memories with this game! . . . nooooot so sure about the appropriateness of sharing some of the best ones, though.
  2. I was thinking more in regards to the Developers having to make a call between shipping a product on schedule, or shipping a product the way they intended it in an ideal scenario.
  3. Retweaking the Contact Bars for Task/Strike Force Contacts might be nice and handy. Maybe even customizing them slightly to have more visual cues to help players see the specific segments.
  4. Something can be by design and still be an issue.
  5. The Tier 5 could be a passive Auto Power which turns Teleport in to Teleport (Superior). Seriously . . . after trying the first version of Jaunt on the Beta Shards a few months back, regular Teleport just feels extra awful. I would totally invest in the Teleport Pool if it meant an instant Teleport Power, like how Jaunt used to work. Note: This is from the perspective of someone whose favourite Travel Power -is- Teleport!
  6. Impressive work, @Aberrant. You have my support in this, and I think it's absolutely justified.
  7. Do we have permission to multi-box all of our accounts simultaneously on the Brainstorm Shard during this testing period? Note: If that would interfere with the Raffle, then I will waive my involvement in the raffle entirely in the name of stressing the servers!
  8. Get in to a fight with a bunch of Psi-Blast enemies, and you'll practically be invisible!
  9. And thusly, between Ted and Sael, the cycle is complete. One was but a learner, but they are now the myster! . . . I have no idea what I'm saying.
  10. People skip Confront so much that most of them think it's called Provoke.
  11. Let's workshop the catchphrase and say, instead: "No One doesn't want to be a Scrapper." Since I've been No One since at least grade school, I can get behind such a phrase.
  12. A potential workaround which may be worth investigating (although the Homecoming Team tend to shy away from "clutch solutions" as a rule) would be to create a second inference of the Backpack mesh in the costume inventory, but have the textures all be transparent. So, you're still "wearing" the Crabpack, but it's invisible. Low overhead to implement, but would be an "unprofessional" fix to the problem.
  13. I suppose I'm just an RTS player at heart. I find there's ALWAYS something to do as a Mastermind to either optimize my Henchpet deployment or provide support with my own Powers. I have a whole slough of custom keybinds for manoeuvring and cycling Henchpets. Same reason I like(d) Controllers: It was all about having oversight of the entire battlefield; choosing targets carefully and activating the best solution for the moment-to-moment problems which presented themselves.
  14. Directions on how to reach The Abyss from each side would not go amiss.
  15. Why, @0th Power? Because they do what you tell them to do, unlike any other NPCs. Hell! Sometimes even better than some players.
  16. It's a 50/50 flip, I think. We're human beings with human brains. We love to find patterns in things! I'm 90% sure it's just random which Broker you get.
  17. Controllers were my favourite Archetype before City of Villains. Masterminds now hold that position. Scrappers are to me what Controllers are to you, though. Whenever I play one, I just find myself asking . . . -why-?! Tankers, Brutes, and Stalkers are all so much more enjoyable. They all have so much more identity and purpose than a Scrapper does! Sorry @MunkiLord. I most certainly do -not- want to be a Scrapper.
  18. Note, you can scale back the "local" to just "L" and it will work the same, but save you four characters, which may be useful if you want to expand things. Additionally, if you want to get more poetic, you can do something like this: /bind z "L I'm spittin' fire that's hotter than the sun,$$L They say you got skills; but you ain't got one.$$L Feel that pain, $target? That's me knockin' you down.$$L What? You think you could win? You're a just some clown!" Just be careful that you don't get yourself flagged for "spamming" by flooding the Local chat channel too much.
  19. I like the Power Boost effect in Focus Chi idea! Very on-brand for Martial Arts, improves utility, and preserves the Set overall so that people can feel less inclined to shout "COTTAGE!"
  20. THIS! THIS THREAD RIGHT HERE! -THIS- is why we need the facepalm reaction. I just hope it's enough to tip the scales in Oubli's favour with the Team.
  21. Less of a roleplay pet peeve, and more of a pet peeve related to roleplay on Homecoming: I wish more people would use these forums to coordinate and organize, and that other players would engage with the players who -do- post here. It's the official board, after all. It does rather make it -the- place to go. Yet even the OOC/RP Global channels see more consistent activity than this board does, and we only have about 1100 members in those channels (average), with maybe 1% to 3% of them being active, and 7% to 12% generally being online at any given time. And it's not like you can post files or write well-structured prose in the Global Channels. So . . . what I'm really saying is . . . Thank you to everyone who is posting in this thread, and on this board! Whether it be complaints or creative endeavours, I do appreciate seeing activity here.
  22. I'm not a PvPer, but I've dabbled -very- lightly in PvP. The sorts of players you describe in your opening paragraph aren't people who I would label as "The PvPers." The ones you describe are more like "the assholes." There are plenty of people who engage in PvP who aren't toxic. There is certainly a -problem- with toxic behaviour in PvP zones which drives away a lot of people who otherwise might consider dabbling, and finding ways to address that conduct is a good thing. Just thought I would emphasize that, and encourage you to consider rephrasing your opening . . . before you get dedicated PvPers in here who take more serious umbrage with being lumped in to the same profane category as those people who suck the fun and joy out of the game for others.
  23. I know that I would be willing to have additional costume slots without any GUI changes, and simply typing the command. But in the spirit of accessibility, that's not a great solution for everyone. So, mayhaps this is an opportunity to also fix an issue which has bothered me for some time. Ever since they made the number of slots 10 back on Legacy, the Costume Change window doubled in height, and takes up a rather large amount of screen real estate. Perhaps if it were possible to shrink that window back down to 5 costumes, but add a dropdown with "Page #" which would load the costume preview images in sets of 5. Something to consider, at least.
  24. Interesting. All three of us are on Everlasting. I have yet to experience any pick-up groups that take the time to examine the team composition in terms of level spectrum before determining difficulty. My experiences have been closer to Coyot's; where without fail at least one person in an eight-member team of random strangers will request the difficulty at x4/+8 (even when we're already a team of 8, mind you). These individuals either drop the team immediately if that request isn't fulfilled, or drop out during or immediately following the first mission.
