  1. I would definitely have to argue that burning 9 power picks to get there would be a sufficient cost.
  2. Sorry I missed this thread when I asked for the same: I'm on board. Open it all up. While I can agree adding more power creep is bad, compared to all the other atrocities, this one just ain't doin much.
  3. Hi. SG-mates requested I make a post on this and to all those that work on Mids, I'm so sorry. Why only four regular power power pools? Why does taking Sorcery lock you out of Experimentation and Force of Will? Why can't Kheldians have APP/PPP and why can't Arachnos that go hero-side and get APP? Let's toss these rules out the window. We'd still have the same number of power picks and slots and we'd keep the rules where you have to have two of a pool to get the later powers. Once upon a time, the devs locked Kheldians out of movement pools that they already had inherently and then fixed that oversight, as they should have, and I was grateful because my PB finally had Air Superiority. Let's take that to the next level so that we can make truly horrific and inefficient monstrosities!
  4. Have you met this playerbase? It'd be done the same day as the change.
  5. I'd be good with that. Only have 2 on ignore here on the forums. Would be glad to see as little of their existence as possible.
  6. If only every sysadmin in existence followed this train of thought. Glad you're here, Faultline.
  7. Archetype. Edit: would probably be a drag attempting to balance with the way debuffs function against high level enemies, though.
  8. Assault/Debuff is one I would love to see, specifically where the debuffs are pbaoe and act as armor.
  9. Pretty sure the only difference between dev and armchair dev is salary. And the only difference between armchair dev and unpaid dev is.... nothing. Course, that fact makes me question certain forum moderator decisions, but whatever... I'm not volunteering to moderate the forums, am I?
  10. Very high on my list of movies. Up there with Blues Brothers and Kung Fu Hustle. Edit: And Airplane. One of the greatest comedies of all time.
  11. Cuz clutter. I try to keep my total number of alts around 50. Makes it very easy to crank up new ones when the base bins are always full of goodies. Sometimes an idea keeps a character around when performance-wise it makes no sense to do so. Sometimes a combo works so damn well it stays around for pure, mindless carnage. Then there's my main, so good I've got three of him just on Excel.
  12. Those are my main issues. You can see the benefit of properly leveled pets if you solo a pylon since, as far as the pylon is concerned, everything is even level.
  13. RechargeTime = BaseRecharge/(1+%) Only use Arcanatime for Cast Times. Thankfully, Mids will do this for you under Options, Configuration, Effects & Maths tab, bottom left, check Use Aracanatime for Animation Times. Example: Claws Followup Cast Time changes from the normal in game time of .83 seconds to 1.056 Seconds. To determine how much total recharge you'll need for a given chain, utilize the attack with the highest recharge. In Claws' case, for the chain above, that would be Followup with a base 12 second recharge. For the chain to work, I calculate how much time can occur between Followups by adding the Arcanatimes of the other attacks. Focus = 1.32 and Slash = 1.584 So I need to get 12 seconds (FU's recharge) down to 2.904 seconds. Using the equation up top, that gives me 2.904 = 12/(1+x) Or 2.904 + 2.904x = 12 2.904x = 9.096 x= 3.13 or 313% total recharge in Followup from all sources to get there. Solve in the same way to get total recharge needed for the other attacks. I've never done it. With my current build, Followup recharges in 3.11 seconds leaving a horrific gap of .206 seconds which means I would have to deal with the not ready sound fx every freaking chain. So I silenced that sound fx and now never hear it on any character. Hope this helps. Edit: Here's the equation for arcanatime: ArcanaTime = [RoundUp(CastTime / 0.132) + 1] * 0.132 Side note: Something's amiss with the total shown under Misc Buffs for Haste in the latest Mids. It states my build has 286.25% when it only has 186.25% global +recharge. I don't know where the other 100% is coming from. I don't have Destiny Ageless or any of the force feedback +recharges slotted and to verify I disabled all the procs in the build. Edit2: They added in the base 1 at some point. Perhaps they'll revert it.
  14. Doublechecked, they're not runnin any more than the normally do on my non-taunt aura scrappers.
  15. I'll try out placate. When it's just one or two, it's usually not an issue but it felt like turning a light on an a room full of roaches. Everybody just scattered. So far, no issues other than that beyond the normal for a lowbie.
  16. Roger that. New forum layout is freakin me out, man. I'll be used to it by tomorrow.
  17. See title. Or is my ability to see what's in front of my face failing once again?
  18. Gotta say, even halfway through a single mission at +1/x3 I'm already being forced to scream, "GIVE STALKER CLAWS SPIN AGAIN, DAMNIT!" Seriously, the added AoE makes a world of difference in standard play. Savage gets a cone and two aoes, 3 when you add in shield charge which can't be paired with claws, and they neuter stalker claws by turning eviscerate into a single target attack AND removing spin? Madness. Edit: Still feel like I need to take provoke to override the fear/running away business.
  19. Tried it, doesn't do squat against AVs. And interface degen or reactive I've found to increase my ST damage pretty dang well, but I do solo a lot. Granted, been a while since I toppled any pylons without one or the other. Edit: I did delete the kat/inv stalker, built the sav/shield stalker, PLed her to 32, slotted her up, haven't done anything with her yet, though.
  20. = acc needed with no tohit buff for +4 boss 95% chance to hit? If so, you're a good dude and my slotting appears awesome! Accidentally, of course.
  21. Another thought on slotting 4 LotGs instead of 3 is when you're concerned about the end cost of toggles. Slotting def/end - def/end/rec - def - def+globalrec you end up with +57.53% (ED reduced) to def, +47.7% to end. +21.6% to rec but that's irrelevant. For a scrapper, this takes, say, focused fighting from base 13.88% defense and .24/sec end cost to 21.86 defense and .17/sec end cost. If you three slot it: def/end - def - def+globalrec = 21.39 defense and .2/sec end cost def/end - def/end/rec - def+globalrec = 20.01 defense and .17/sec end cost True that the loss of def is pretty negligible on the 1st 3-slot option but it's always been worth it to me for the extra endred and the +acc that comes with it.
  22. Currently Mids is showing Followup with 190% ACC and most attacks at 176%. No base tohit buff to stack on that until followup lands and stacks and then it just gets silly. So I was hoping for a hard number at 50 but unless someone beats me to it, I'll go bust out the equations and charts and see what I see to stay at the tohit cap against +4 bosses.
