  1. Amazing what they can do with GMO food by now!
  2. Oh hey, I was just teaming with Commander Crumpets last night. I think I was only playing Pink Bamfer, so that was me.
  3. Recent ones that stick out in my mind was a Bots/Emp MM, because I get tired of having to go through the hassle of respawning dead pets, and my current just-hit-50 project, a Savage Melee/Shield stalker who has four TP powers: one gets him around with decent range, the other three do some damage, two of them good damage. Neither of these are crazy min/maxed within an inch of their lives builds, no purples, but they are 100% my kinda fun, and not as gimpy as say a "normal man" build or something.
  4. That's a good rule of thumb, I'll have to remember that. (My recent stalker build was fine by the time he got to 50, I think he was close to 4/sec.)
  5. 100% agree, I hate crutches like that. I often drop builds I've picked up from the forums when I see them going that way (and when I do work on my own builds, I ignore that option). I don't think that was a papering over weak powersets move on the original devs' parts though, just what a lot of players who don't wanna play anything but 50s go for.
  6. Hope no one steps on those Big Swede Shoes... ... don't get up, I know the way out.
  7. Think I went overboard on keeping my blue bar charged with that? I'll admit by the time I was hitting the last few powerr choice sbefore 50 that I had already taken the things I wanted most Thanks for the details in the rest of your post. Definitely going to keep that in mind and se if I can live without popping RF, and then respec out of it if it works fine without it. Heck, I still haven't decided on what my final power choice is, I was thinking to take TP Target as there have been times I wished I could TP a dead friend out of the action for their own good. I think I looked over Weapons Mastery in the early stages, I'll give it another check.
  8. Both you and @Bionic_Flea have a lot of good ideas, thanks for those. This one here: I just picked up my Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection one-slot-wonders and I seem to be good on End now, but I do need to play a bit more to make sure that worked out as hoped. Rending Flurry is just about too good an AoE to drop. Looking it up on the wiki though, the Stalker version of Savage Melee doesn't give you an End Reduction to go with that Recharge, but a Damage Buff (and I wasn't aware of that, somehow, duh). My chain atm is usually BU+Shield Charge (or Savage Leap)+Rending Flurry to drop a whole mess o AoE bamf-ness on a crowd, then usually AS+Shred+AnotherAoRBamf/Rending Flurry again. By then the mob's usually thinned down to only a couple and I can stick with the ST attacks. So Rending Flurry is fairly important to the style I'm going for. That said, when I get back to playing, I can try holding off on it a bit and see what happens.
  9. So, time to slightly necro this thread (it's not that old! "I'm getting better!") as I appraoch 50. Currently at 47th level, I've found this toon, or I should say my build, to be something of a late bloomer, but that blooming has been some real bloomin' fun! I can run my toggles now. The AoE damage is something you don';t seem to find too often on stalkers, best I can tell, so that's good too. But approaching 50, I'm wondering about what Incarnates would be good. Are there a few obvious, "usual suspects" that stalkers go for in those realms? And, also, are there any that have any BAMF applicability? I think I've heard one gives you a Team Teleport power, but really, if you can buy that, why use an Incarnate choice on it? Unless there's nothing else great go go for, or it comes with other nice perks. I just don't know Incarnate powers much.
  10. If pets move too slowly for your style of play, then something without pets (I know this sounds like snark, but...). Probably want to avoid Titan Weapons too. I'd guess you're going to want something melee, so pick one of those that sounds fun to you. I enjoy tankers quite a bit for feeling invincible most of the time.
  11. I don't drop from a PUG due to Demon MMs, but that is a big reason I've never given a demon MM a try myself, yeah.
  12. Eh, we can speed run anything quickly enough as it is, it's not like any PUG or team isn't already loaded up with ATT and TTs by now. I'm not concerned about the unmitigated gall of them forcing us to change zones once in a while ha ha. But you're 100% about Mission 2, just drop it. Street sweeping and that Posi thing where you go "check in" on certain points around the map are also fairly pointless these days; I'd like to see them turned into something worthwhile than just dropped forever but I dunno just what yet.
  13. I'd say the added line of citizens (victims?) nicely mirrors the line of people trying to get into Grandville, and seeing all the people oppressed does give one a sense of what the zone/redside is all about. But I don't really think this should function as "the reside Atlas statue" gathering area; surely that's Aeon City over in Cap au Diable. If redside can even be said to have such a spot. Maybe that's one thing redside could really use.
  14. Being the first Snake, I would think so.
  15. I feel we already speed run through too much content, but I know that's just, like, my opinion, man. Seems like it would mainly be a farming technique of some kind.
  16. Exactly my point, nothing is REQUIRED, and yet nearly everyone always goes for it.
  17. hen you hulk out, all pants fit funny. Yet never tear, somehow.
  18. Are we really so complacent and inured to the daily onslaught of AI monstrosities that we're now functionally immune to the horrors of the Uncanny Valley anymore?
  19. I must have been doing something wrong with my one /TA, an Ill/TA troller. I think I got him to 47 and realized I wasn't enjoying him like at all. One of the few toons I've stripped for IOs later.
  20. Always up for being able to choose animations (maybe my guy has Ice Spit powers ok?!) but I can't imagine that's not going to be a hell of a lot of work to rejigger the animation time of that one Poison spitting attack gesture to fit the 1.12 second cast time for Ice Bolt, or the 1.17 seconds cast time for Fire Bolt or the 1.23 seconds cast time for... you get the idea. But man, if they got that done? So cool. Please note all numbers are imaginary.
  21. I already resent the crutch-y nature of this set that's nearly required for so many builds. Not a fan of cookie-cutter builds, so I say thee nay! *turns thumb down, crowd hiss and boos* 😄
  22. I'm working on an AE story about Snakes on Mercy, so that's pretty helpful stuff, @Gulbasaur - thanks! That said, if what I posted earlier about Snake sin combat being killed not "arrested/defeated", then villains who run the Operative Grillo arc are killing the oldest living being on the planet.
  23. If they were so great, especially that second mage guy, why were they the last ruling dynasty huh? Maybe I don't want any ol' cursed gourd like that.
  24. Baby New Year - varied foes, fantastic map (ok, it's like 80% the map for me), varied mechanics as its goals change through out, a modicum of challenge with Snappy, and it's something you literally can't just steamroll, lest you lose the baby guy on your way out.
