  2. i agree - sirens call used to be amazing for PvP pre-IO. perhaps zone incentives could also be added, along with bonuses so people don’t take it so seriously - e.g rewards for dying X number of times
  3. my ‘go to’ for introducing a classic CoH feel on TFs is to click enemies buffed, it really switches on the old game playstyles and has people cooperating quickly, even at +0
  4. blasphemy! i have provoke even on my defender haha herding is a direct contributor to chaos, which is the purest way to play the game if people aren’t button mashing in panic i’m not interested
  5. proper positioning and mob strategy is also a very effective survival technique, much more so than any IO set or power pool in my opinion unless you’re the lead tank for a team, then that goes out the window a bit 😛

  9. i’ve always enjoyed soloing with my mind/fire dom, or soloing with a blaster back on live. playing with an AT without defense makes it much more strategic and fun from my experience

  11. like snarky, i see posts where people have crazy amounts, tens of billions i tend to keep my main at about 1.98bn and store the rest (200-400m) in the AH. where i see a person on the forums who appears like they could use the support, i enjoy buying expensive procs or purple sets for people
  12. the difference it makes in XP gain is so minimal it’s likely not even measurable unless the team was standing around watching each and every mob slowly kill themselves, it is a non issue
  13. uh.. like, some sort of, archery set for blasters? would never happen
  14. i think it’s balanced - if an AV is placated it’s not being attacked and quickly regenerating health, so there’s quite a large tradeoff to using the power
  15. for high HP enemies like AVs and GMs, also consider the power of -regen as a significant aid also. it feels less relevant thesedays in the age of extreme damage, but still a useful helper
  16. if you find a way to play on your phone, you should join a TF with @Snarky whilst figuring out the controls
  17. i would drop one of assault/manuvers/tactics and pickup veng - always good to have on a defender. you’ll be outputting good def values to the team anyway, but the extra acc can be a lifesaver in some content
  18. i assumed only the archived paragonwiki and CoH fandom (which i’m not a fan of the UI) existed the HC wiki looks great - clean interface and easy to navigate

  20. the confused xp scale works fine as it is in my view, never had a problem on my mind dom
  21. i’ve played a kin/sonic defender for the last 3-4 years, the sonic changes were a big nerf to its ability to debuff, it’s still better than no debuff however. think i’d roll a kin/dark and slot for -acc if i was to do it again i don’t use sonic for assault but hear it’s a fair amount more damaging now

  23. a lot of people rely on softcap builds posted by experienced players on the forum, copy it line for line then facetank every mob they come across without thinking about strategy, positioning etc all the gear no idea is the FOTM lately
  24. i agree - i do like a bit of chaos and uncertainty, it’s where classic CoH re-emerges
  25. i’ve been on a few chaotic teams where an AV spawns in a bank mish and things grind to a halt due to @Snarky’s Law the full team is often not available, which leads to multiple wipes: 3 people on the AV at the door 2 people fighting things at the vault 1 person meandering aimlessly on the map 1 person street sweeping outside 1 person AFK
