  1. There are many reasons to slot full sets into powers. Categorizing it as a "mistake" is ignorance and bad advice.
  2. My DB/Nin scrapper does not have Hasten and she does just fine without it. I do understand those who made the choice to sacrifice defense or procs for maximum DPS would be hurt by any changes.
  3. Mine would not. I have hasten in 1 of them and to be honest, I was looking to respec out of it anyway. I also find it funny how there are so many threads on the forums of people complaining how buffers are "useless" at higher levels, yet now people seem to be worried that Hasten will somehow break them.
  4. I did not suggest it was not. What is being suggested is that if I how I build my characters makes it so I have little to no chance of being defeated, what is the difference in the length of time the encounter takes? Making it take longer just makes it more boring in my opinion. Do we really need all encounters to be a Reichsman level slog encounter?
  5. My question is fairly obvious. How is removing Hasten making the game any more challenging or difficult? Short answer: it is not. From my perspective, I have characters built with enough defense that whether I defeat something in 30 or 90 seconds makes no difference to me. Most everyone else I know is built the same, so they will not see any significant issue either. I just do not see the need for any changes.
  6. I understand perfectly what Hasten does. Does reducing the effectiveness of or removing it from the game make the game fundamentally more challenging or difficult?
  7. Is the game fundamentally more difficult or challenging without it? Or are players going to continue to steamroll content if it were changed or even removed?
  8. It makes certain long recharging power picks palatable and I am sure players in the PvP community like having powers up as often as possible. Hasten is taken heavily because most all other pool choices stink. Even removing it completely does not make the game any better. People are going to steamroll content without it.
  9. Alternatively, why not create new content that is specifically for incarnates?
  10. I was not the one who brought it up. Some are using the argument that "a lot of people take it" therefore it must be imbalanced. A lot of people do a lot of things. That does not mean every popular choices needs changing.
  11. I think rather than changing the triangles, a better solution is a means to tone down or turn off all the VFX spam as a player option. Those who like it can keep it and those who do not can turn them off.
  12. This is a problem with a great many powersets in my opinion, including Earth Control. I would absolutely love an option that allows us to tone down/scale down or turn off the myriad of VFX spam.
  13. I did not ignore that at all. I simply stated not everyone takes it, which is true.
  14. There is nothing to argue. Not everyone takes hasten is true.
  15. I read this hearing Sir Patrick Stewart's voice. Reminded me of this -
  16. "Very very few skip it" confirms not everyone takes it.
  17. It also costs a power pick and sloting that can be used for something else. Not everyone uses Hasten. I think out of my 20 or so level 50s maybe 1 has it.
  18. Yes that is called using strategy. Players are doing this in all kinds of content throughout the entire game.
  19. Could not agree more at this point. Hopefully a mod will lock it.
  20. It does not matter. These were his express wishes for the company he founded. That still holds some weight.
  21. And that is perfectly fine.
  22. Semantics are not making your argument any stronger.
  23. So you cannot post all the cases you claimed you could. Got it. Well then it is abundantly clear you are just out to hate on any Disney for any reason. Facts are Disney did not want to say no to the request, but they have to abide by the wishes of Walt Disney himself and not use Disney characters for these purposes. His request is personally reasonable. They did offer a one of a kind very special item to memorialize their son, which is a far cry from being "mean" and "cruel".
  24. Well no, people were not getting renamed because of it before the rule was put in place. Several copycats/homages are pictured in older Homecoming sponsored costume contests. Posts were made by a few people who thought it "tacky" and "not creative" and were questioning whether copycats were ok or not. I am sure if you do some forum searching you will find the posts Homecoming made regarding copies not being an issue at the time. Of course we all know this did change.
