  1. Love the idea. This game is missing team objective pvp. Sure you have objectives in zone pvp but that is fairly disorganized and you can have 1 vs 20 instead of 8 vs 8.
  2. Well I guess I found my next project.
  3. If I feel like blowing stuff up I'll bring my Fire/Atomic blaster. Unless there is psy and/or dark damage I have no issues. But honestly that is due more to IO sets and Mace mastery than the AT. If I feel like debuffing I'll bring my Rad/Sonic defender. AVs/GMs melt with one of these around. If I want to play on a full team and keep everyone safe then I'll go with my Fire/Dark controller. I got Fade perma so those that hang around me (which is always in the middle of mobs) will get around a 23% defense boost plus bonfire with kb to kd turns mobs into popcorn so the rest of the team can kill everything safely. It does kill very slowly but it can be very tanky as well with capped defense (not counting additional -to hit debuffs) and s/l/c resists and decent resists to everything else except toxic.
  4. So I guess that also disqualifies tanks as any primary is pretty much unkillable once you get to a certain point. Stalkers and Scrappers we may as well exclude as well since they are also murder bots. Defenders get great debuffs/buffs and/or heals that can turn them into gods (but with less damage) and Corruptors are nearly as good but do more damage so I guess we can't use those either. Controllers and Doms can lock everything down and control the battle field so they can't be included as the worst either. Masterminds can summon armies and heal/buff them or debuff others so I guess they are out. VEATS and HEATs can do great damage and be durable so they are out. That leaves us with blasters which have damage for days so we are left with not being able to include any ATs. Or it could just be a matter of preference and opinion and what is good in one person's eyes may be bad in someone else's eyes. And it is possible for both to be right since the topic is subjective.
  5. Exactly what I was thinking. You get an easily perma defense boost, then run around with a huge damage aura combined with -to hit and double slows. That alone is worth it, but on top of that, while things are sloooowly crawling away, you throw down a giant patch of fire that turns them into popcorn while your imps go to town boosted by Temporal selection. Seems like an incredibly safe and durable combo but also very endurance hungry.
  6. Rathulfr is correct. You have to look at each individual attack to see how they are affected by FE. Most are around 45% base damage added but some are higher and some are less. I believe you can also click FE active in Mids and it shows the extra fire damage as well.
  7. In a tight build where you need more recharge and you cannot split up the set, yes. In most cases there are other options so it is rare but I have seen people do it.
  8. Agreed. If you want the best build with fastest clear times you will also want to skip Spine Burst and Ripper. You can use them as mules for set bonuses but they slow you down when farming once your recharge is high enough. Between Burn, Throw Spines, Elec Fences and Ball Lightning, you should always have an attack ready at around perma hasten levels of recharge. Ripper does decent damage but it is slow and only hits 2 or 3 targets tops most times. Something that does less damage but hits 10+ targets ends up being much better in the long run. And agreed on the incarnate stuff. With T4 Ageless you should have 0 endurance issues. Worst case if you ignore endurance in your toggles and powers you may have to use Consume from time to time but still not often quixoteprog above also posted a great link to all sorts of different builds. Now if you insist on those powers being used for damage because you just love that play style, more power to you. Here is a build that meets everything you asked for. Perma hasten, 45% fire defense, and all the powers you asked for. I threw in extra damage procs but you could swap those out for -resist procs if you like. Minor catch, to get those stats you do need to take Agility and run with Stealth on, but again, once you get Ageless up there, the endurance drain is a non issue. 9. Yup, what tidge said. Only the Winter sets and ATOs get broken if you attune them. Although in rare cases where the 2 and 3 slot bonuses are just that good, you can make 3 of the set superior and that would give you both the set bonus for 3 regular and 3 superior (Defender Vigilant Assault comes to mind). That being said, most people that split the sets tend to put 3 superior in one power and the other 3 superior in another. But sometimes builds are tight and that can work in those cases.
  10. Any of the following brutes no one has made to 50 according to the FOTM post from September Savage Melee/Ice Armor Ice Melee/SR Ice Melee/Regen Spines/Energy Armor Stone Melee/SR Street Justice/Stone Of those Ice Melee/Regen sounds pretty bad. Low damage primary paired with a click intensive secondary means a lot of time spent keeping yourself alive and less time attacking. Looking at the same info on Trollers that leaves Ice/Sonic and Ice/Traps. Ice is stuck with very little damage but a ton of control. I can see Ice/Traps being ok as you can throw out an Ice Slick then toss out caltrops, and your other traps and those can make up for the low damage primary. Ice/Sonic however would be terrible solo as 4 of the powers require them to be cast on an ally. In a group it would not be so bad. You would mainly be just keeping up shields and making sure your -resist toggle is on a melee character wile doing minor damage and keeping everything falling down. You would still be able to contribute to a decent amount of damage, but only indirectly with Disruption Field. You can do basically the same for the other ATs to find out which is the least popular and go from there. That thread can be found here
  11. All depends on what you are using it for. For farmers I throw in the winter set in electric fences and purple set minus the proc with -resist proc in ball lightning.
  12. Agreed. A common side effect to many s/l attacks is defense debuff. Once one gets through it makes it easier for cascading defense failures. Options are create your own or find another farm that does not have those attacks.

    Best Brute?

Willpower is the least clicky set for armor. All endurance and healing (regen in this case) are done through either auto powers or toggles. Other than the tier 9 and self rez you set it and forget it.
  14. It adds fire damage to all your attacks so it will increase your damage even if you are at the damage cap. And while it does have a long recharge it also lasts longer than build up.
  15. For blaster AR/Dark is the only set (as of September 1st) that no one has bothered with at all. It has terrible synergy as AR does best at range and 6 out of 9 powers in /Dark put you in melee range.
  16. The only other time I can think of that footstomp alone would knockback 50+ stuff is if you are in DA and you have more than 1 level shift. If you are +3 and mobs are lvl 51 you will KB instead of KD. Otherwise it "shouldn't" have that effect. Keyword being shouldn't.
  17. You have chance for KB in a power that already has KB. When it procs, things go flying. I tried on live with my SS and am getting nothing flying away. Made your build on test and had the same issue as you. Swapped the ATO in KO blow to footstomp and threw in the winter melee set in KO blow (which nearly caps your S/L defense) and had no issues. BTW, rock solid build with a much smaller psy hole than you will see on most Invulnerable builds out there.
  18. Would look at the farm fresh thread for other builds. Not sure on cost as I built as I went. Figure 20 mil plus per purple and winter IO so it gets expensive but if you save the purples for last you can use the purples that drop while farming and converters to reduce some of that. Probably 800 million to a billion but more if you buy on weekends.
  19. It all depends on how cheep we are talking. You can slot just SOs and regular IOs and farm still, just not quickly. Are you looking for a place to start from to eventually build something better or something that will get the job done, just slower than an optimal build?
  20. Am I a bad person because I giggled in the same spot?
  21. Start with your end game goal. Find a build you know you will want. Is the build I posted below the best? Probably not as I farm with Rad/Fire but it is decent and works as an example as it can do fire farms at +4x8 easily and should be able to handle most even level random lvl 50 content out there at x8 (outside of toxic/psy damage). Then either do a respec or 2nd build with those empty slots. If you have no IO sets to put in, start with 2 accuracy 1 recharge 1 end redux and 2 damage. For damage toggles replace the recharge with another end redux. Then start farming away to finance everything else. Run at +4x8 and make sure you keep enough lucks to keep your fire defense at or above 40% (45% is ideal but you should be ok at 40). When I was building my farmer, I started with the LOTG recharge, then filled out the cheep stuff first and moved on to winter sets to cap out fire defense. Once you cap out fire defense, then you can start converting everything to reds as you fill out the remaining IO sets. Also keep XP on after 50 as you will want those incarnate powers. Agility is great for farmers while they figure things out as it helps with recharge, endurance and defense. Another must have is Ageless in your destiny slot and that pretty much solves your endurance issues. 22. Without -regen it is probably possible but far from easy.
  23. In order for you to lose something, you have to have it first. MA never had the defense on scrappers. You act as if the set always had a defense buff and suddenly it was taken away and in exchange was given a crit bonus instead. MA for scrappers is pretty much the same as it has always been.
  24. Maybe 70%. No extra damage aura (which can also debuff resist) and your other AoE options either do less damage in a smaller area or are smaller cones that hit hard but will do less damage as they will be hitting fewer targets. If you are spending that much on a farmer build, it seems like a waste to spend it on something that will be mostly useless outside of AE farms and not very productive while farming.
  25. And yet you have still not posted what specific recipes you are having trouble finding after being asked by at least 2 people to be more specific. Most people are not having the same problem you are having so without any clarification on your part we cannot help. You say you still are having the same problem but have refused to be specific as to what exactly the problem is. So it really sounds like the problem is you until you can point to what specific recipes you are having issues getting. The 2 that you did mention, Unbreakable guard has 1 that is in short supply. However, you can always buy one of the others and use converters until you get what you need or use merits for those if you feel like going that route. The Obliteration proc is the same. The rest of the set can be found easily so you can convert or use merits or wait. Either way you can still get what you need. While the recipes can be hard to find, the IOs (which is really what you need) can be easily obtained. I just purchased a bunch of random Multi Strike lvl 31 recipes for 55k each. I crafted them (48k) and used converters on them and just threw up 10 Obliteration proc IOs on the AH. Given the fact that there were 0 for sale before I figure they can probably sell for 5 mil. I was able to do this within just a few minuets of figuring out which recipe you were talking about. Update, sold a couple already so feel free to grab them or you can just as easily duplicate what I did. Just did basically the same with the Unbreakable Guard trio IO. There are 7 IOs for sale now just a few minuets of making an effort to make some. So the issue appears still to be you.
