  1. Outside of Fire, Ice, and snipes, the highest DPA attacks are in melee or short range (Mostly in Energy and Electric). You can still destroy near everything without ever getting in melee range, but if you want to do the max possible damage in the shortest period of time, you will need to be in melee range. The down side of that play style is that the rules are the same for mobs. They also hit harder in melee range and also have more attacks available so if you want to play that way, it requires a more sturdy build or others on your team to keep the aggro off of you.
  2. I'm going to have to say Kin for the secondary as well. Fast recharge sure but that also equates to low damage. The cone attack pays the KB tax and the one heavy hitting attack and only full AoE are slow to cast. Also no Build Up + Heavy hitter for burst damage. For primary that one is difficult. All of them can be great and be made to be near unkillable but Stone is probably the most annoying to play for me. The -Recharge, -Damage and lack of movement without a kin on the team make the set truly painful to play.
  3. Even on a team setting it will only hit so many targets. Most of those will be LT or Minions which will be dead in 1 AOE rotation. That leaves the 2 or 3 bosses taking a couple hits less to kill every 60 seconds or so. Instead of that you could take an additional AOE attack with Mu. For high end builds this means being able to do a 4 attack AoE chain with very little gap. The additional damage from another attack against multiple targets will net you more in the long run compared to a minor resist debuff that does no damage on its own that you can only cast roughly every 60 seconds (at perma hasten levels).
  4. If you want something a little less durable but still soft capped and harder hitting while still sticking to the theme.
  5. I have been on 1 team below 50 running at +4. It was a TF where at least half the team quit after the first mission because the leader refused to turn it down after several team wipes. For the vast majority of people, 95% vs +3 is plenty with a little extra like Kismet to cover the occasional defense buffs and to hit debuffs. Chasing more to hit or accuracy beyond that (for most people) is a waste unless the sets come with other bonuses you are looking for. Now if you regularly run lower level content at +4 more power to you. You would just have to build accordingly.
  6. You can literally get to soft capped defense to all positions with lvl 50 regular IOs with all SR powers (skipping elude), Combat Jumping and Weave + the 2 unique 3% defense IOs + ATOs.
  7. Even without tactics or Kismet you will still be at 95%+ to hit +3 mobs outside of defense buffs and/or to hit debuffs for all your attacks on this build.
  8. Melt armor is meh on farms. Against AVs sure it is handy but most things are dead in a few hits anyway. Mu all the way for farming. Full disclosure I have never tried Savage but if I did it would look like this.
  9. Yea that is only for unlocking the villain side. Hero side you can do bank missions over and over and be sure to stop the jail breaks. Ms Liberty TF also adds a few kills and normally its pretty easy to get a group. Even easier when it is the TF of the week.
  10. Level 5 is not the greatest gauge at how the set will feel later on. Yes the 20 seconds on Irradiate is long but it gets better later on. /Atomic is a good to pair with it as well since it has potentially a lot of +recharge built in if you are in melee range but you don't get those until 16 and 20 at the earliest.
  11. This is about as close as you can come for now.
  12. Thanks to the input and ideas from @nihilii I came up with this. Managed to get 191.3% recharge with hasten not counting Ageless. Dropped blinding powder (it was just a mule anyway) and used those slots to 5 slot Red Fortune on 2 powers. With amplifiers, that should tighten up my chain without gaps or at the least shorter gaps while not taking away the damage bonus or recharge total from the purple confuse set. That freed up the 5th +10% recharge so threw in Armageddon (with -resist proc) in Inferno. I lost a bit of HP and recovery but 1680 isn't terrible and Ageless takes care of endurance issues. I will keep the original build for most things and try and use this to push the limits of what a Sent can do solo and see if I can manage some Master Of runs. I have no doubt I could do the ITF, pretty confident on LGTF but not so sure on LRSF and MLTF but time will tell. Update: Without lore but with Hybrid and with amplifiers. Hit Hybrid, Ageless, started timer. Got 2:05 on a pylon which is...well I'm lazy but its pretty damn good. But that can be attributed to luck as I swapped out one of the procs in Dom for chance for build up and it seemed to go off quite often.
  13. I totally forgot about amplifiers. Thank you. Those could also help fill gaps in defense to keep me at the soft cap with Posi Blast instead of the winter set along with the other changes. Looks like I got some work to do when I get home tonight. Even without the changes I managed to solo LGTF (swapping procs for lockdown for Hami) but had to use temp daggers on the final boss to get past the heal and unstoppable. These changes may add just enough to be able to get that done without temps. Again, thank you 🙂
  14. I think I got this project as far as I can and it is a blast to play. Single target rotation is Blaze-Dominate-Mind Probe-Blaze-Blazing Blast. Flares gets tossed in there when opportunity is up against hard targets and when Ageless is about to recharge. At 50 I could lose the endurance clickie but still keep it as it comes in handy when doing lower level stuff. I added enough extra accuracy to hit +3 mobs at least 95%. Have managed to solo most AVs but some have heals and I just can't seem to get those down without temps to lower their regen. So I went with Longbow lore just because those seem popular but really have not done any research on them. Is there a better one for -regen? Also is there anything I am overlooking that can squeeze out a little more damage without dropping recharge and defense?
  15. Time is my personal favorite to jump into melee with. Big -to hit debuff on you combined with solid defensive options. With a bit of work can get Chrono Shift perma. As far as a secondary, anything without cones or knockback would be fine.
  16. Add to that putting an Ice Patch down and the few that do manage to get to you flop around waiting for you to kick them away.
  17. Yea lower levels with SOs would really hurt. IOs at incarnate level, they should be fine. Just the road getting there would be rough without PLing or twinking them out as you go.
  18. All damage modifiers multiply only the base damage. So if you have a base attack of 100 damage and you have a 100% damage bonus, you would do 200 damage. If you pop a few reds and get another 100% more damage, that is still off the base damage so you do 300 damage. It should also be noted that recharge time also has an effect on damage. Generally, the longer the base recharge, the more damage it does. Blasters have several melee attacks that Brutes also have but many of them are on much longer timers which means the Blaster versions do much more damage than just the difference in damage scales.
  19. Yes bring back prestige but keep all costs for base items at 0.
  20. Positronic fist hits very hard but has a long cast time which sometimes leave the higher dpa attacks recharged and waiting to be used. I just arranged my attacks in order of dpa and used the highest dpa attack that I had available at the time. It also has the benefit of being able to use a jetpack to stay at range from AV melee attacks. Now if I ever were to attempt to solo the LGTF I would buy some unslotters and swap the procs out for hold duration but the AOE hold on a 25 second CD has been plenty for me in every other situation.
  21. It should also be noted that if you boost those, you still get the boost while you are lower level. Granted the effect is lessened as you go lower in level, but your stats will still be a little higher.
  22. My fastest pylon times were with using the hold with procs.
  23. One has a 16 second recharge and the other is 90. Yes take them both.
  24. That is good because of Archery. Just about any secondary will farm better.
