Focused Feedback: PvP Changes (Release Candidates)
Troo replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
--- Simple Fix --- Add a full-time fake-accolade vendor to Siren's Call for both Villain and Hero sides. Just like the other PvP zones. This would address the issues associated with the last change removing temps/accolades/powers/etc. and the current, at best, intermittent availability of that which was to replace the removed temps/accolades/powers/etc. -
Move some of the PvP mini games to RV - Buff/Debuff
Troo replied to Troo's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The Buff/Debuff to players doesn't really work for a PvE zone but some of the other mini games or similar could work. @Monos King I'm not particularly invested in these. If there is something similar that could spice up zone play I think it would be worth discussing. I look forward to your suggestions. -
Whew! I look forward to "Legendary Legendary Troo".

How much cash inf do you have on your account?
Troo replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in General Discussion
That is one way to look at it. 🙂 Another is that the bottom two have more than all the others combined. (Possibly >2.4T over 25 players vs the rest) Some are likely way under reporting and would require Pricewaterhouse Coopers to total everything up.. Glimpse of ways to stash -
Siren's Call doesn't see much action these days with the skip to 50 meta, so maybe it would be fun to move some aspects to RV. (not to be confused with the topic: Add Battle for Recluse's Victory to RV) Buff / Debuff Mini Game The following temporary powers may affect your character while outdoors in zone. Completing missions will either raise you and your allies' powers or lower the enemies' powers. Players inside door missions in the zone are not affected by these powers. Each of these powers has a 1% strength but can stack up to fifteen times. Impassioned +Damage (All Damage) You have been impassioned by the work of your fellow adventurers. Your attacks now deal more damage. Galvanized +Resistance (All Damage) You have been galvanized by the work of your fellow adventurers. You now have increased damage resistance. Enfeebled -Damage (All Damage) You have been enfeebled by the acts of your enemies. Your attacks now deal less damage. Staggered -Resistance (All Damage) You have been staggered by the acts of your enemies. You now suffer decreased damage resistance.

Focused Feedback: PvP Changes (Release Candidates)
Troo replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
As far as I'm aware, the temp power vendors in Siren's Call have only been available after your side has control of the zone (and it's been that way since Issue 6), per the wiki: I'm not aware of anything which would have changed this behavior, but if you find the vendor isn't available when your side is controlling the zone it might be worth filing a bug report. Combining the limited vendor availability & the removal of temp travel powers, etc. = unnecessary grief for folks in a zone that PvPers rarely even use. PvP Zone Vendors (Bloody Bay, Siren's Call, Warburg, Recluse's Victory) Added vendors selling the Arena temporary powers (which are now usable in PvP zones) The Siren's Call vendor still requires the zone event to unlock + Powers Disabled in PvP All Incarnate powers apart from the Alpha slot are now disabled in Recluse's Victory PvP zones now obey the same rules as the arena when it comes to banning powers This means that anything previously disabled in the Arena will now be disabled in PvP zones Arena temporary powers now work in PvP zones PVP Zones now disable powers using an auto power granted on zone entry instead of a critter with a zonewide power (this makes it instant) The following powers are now disabled in the Arena and in PvP zones: Most Mayhem / Safeguard powers Empowerment Station buffs crafted in bases Most Day Job powers Cathedral of Pain buffs Various prestige / temporary powers Complete list of disabled powers: = PvP changes impacting non PvP players in a extremely negative way. I am not saying it was intentional. I am simply saying it should be addressed this go around. -
Clearly we have folks with multiple accounts voting. "Some men just want to watch the world burn."

Focused Feedback: Pool Powerset Revamp: Sorcery
Troo replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
It's a pool power, not an epic. Expectations of it magically exceeding it's place performance wise are all smoke and mirrors. Me too, and probably others on both sides. It would get removed as do many of a similar vein.. -
Focused Feedback: PvP Changes (Release Candidates)
Troo replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
While you are correct in some regards, you are clearly mistaken as to what I am referencing. Some issues were created from the last round. If PvP specific changes are being made now, it could be a good time to address some low hanging fruit. Your "hop'n by any arena area to purchase the pvp temps" is a work around at best, not a solution. -
Focused Feedback: Pool Powerset Revamp: Sorcery
Troo replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
On Live, Flight has two toggles that are 0.65/sec. But Afterburner will be removed, and Evasive Maneuvers has already had its cost reduced from 0.52/sec to 0.26/sec. What about Enflame is broken? The details would help in fixing the problem. I disagree on the conclusion of Arcane Bolt is still a trash pick (it would help if there are details on why it's trash). The animation shaving now makes it an ok power to use in terms of DPA (not as good as a powerset attack, which a pool power shouldn't be), but with an avenue to only use it when it's ready for double damage makes it a great power DPA wise. 2.96 scale damage in 1.73s cast time from a pool power, yeah that's not trash. Ah thanks for the reply. So there will be no other pools with two 0.52/s endurance cost toggles. I'll get back with enflame specifics. I understand your opinion on Arcane Bolt but really there is only so much that can be done with a pool power in that position. It is just not going to be competitive with primary, secondaries., etc. Making it 'sound' exciting in my opinion is a disservice and sort of misleading. Adding a quirky mechanic.. respecville. -

Troo replied to Arcanum's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
I'll try and rephrase. Do the listed changes only affect player vs player interactions OR do they affect all zone play in Bloody Bay, Siren's Call, Warburg and Recluse's Victory? Examples which could have an impact on folks entering the zones for reasons other than attacking other players. Pool > Experimentation > Jaunt In PvP, this power now recharges in 30s Temp Powers > Raptor Pack Duration reduced from 2 minutes to 45 seconds While I support efforts to try and improve the HC PVP experience, I believe that having some zones radically deviate from the rest of the game is not good. -

okay, I've seen this enough to chime in. While you could be correct with part of your statements, other parts are missing the mark. Just FYI, what you may be missing is the former NC Soft paywall. Sets/powers/abilities which were intentionally superior in some fashion to drive sales "Titan Weapons is a primary Power Set for Brutes and Scrappers, and a secondary Power Set for Tankers. This premium power set is available for 800 Paragon Points on the Paragon Market for Free and Premium Players; VIP Players must also purchase this set." "Sorcery is one of the Power Pools available on the Paragon Market." "The Paragon Market was introduced with Issue 21/City of Heroes Freedom. The Paragon Market is technically an RMT option sponsored by NCsoft instead of breaking the EULA by buying from "gold farmers". Players can buy Paragon Points with real money, and then purchase items, costumes, archetypes, powersets, and content in the Paragon Market; 400 Paragon Points are also awarded monthly for keeping a VIP subscription (550 for VIPs who have completed Tier 8)." Those intentionally overpowered aspects are now outliers and easy pickings for alignment. -

I thought this is what they are trying to get rid of / avoid. (near gap-less chaining) -
Instant Healing: why hasn't it been reverted to a toggle yet?
Troo replied to LEUGIM6's topic in General Discussion
Umm, this is not the focused feedback section of the forum. Heightened levels of moderation can be indicators of things in the works.. which should be cause for alarm to anyone who currently plays regeneration and likes it. As to @BioFlame question: Instant Healing: why hasn't it been reverted to a toggle yet? Which version of the power would you like to see? There have been a number of them. -

+1 A similar post by @America's Angel explained how Regen's deficiencies are could be looked at as benefits. Which can be counter-intuitive, but obvious once adjusted to the concept. I thought maybe that post was in the thread below but couldn't find it. -
