  1. Great advice - I needed reminders on 2,3,4. +1 inf
  2. You might as well face it...you are addicted to Crey!
  3. +1 to all of these... For the first bullet about zone instances, you might want to check out this thread, and +1 if you agree For the 2nd bullet - why would it be contentious? It's a +1 for me, but it would very low on my priority list
  4. When Phase Shift, you cannot affect or be affected by those in normal space. So enemies aren't invulnerable, you just cannot do anything to them...They would be "Unaffected" by all your powers... Let me make sure I understand 1.) You were phase shifted 2.) Your teammates were NOT phase shifted? 3.) Your teammates couldn't damage the mob?
  5. I think I got your questions answered - used a lot of hyperlinks to Paragon Wiki which has more detail than what was in the original post. The OP was more of a "tips and tricks" to getting these badges than a FAQ or walkthru PORTAL JOCKEY / BORN IN BATTLE You have to be level 46-50 to find and run these missions...Here's the Flashback guide If you haven't already, you'll want to download and install Vidiotmaps for i25 since it will make finding things on the CoH Maps 100X easier (I'm exaggerating of course, it's like 82.37X easier). Specifically for this Accolade Badge, you need to get the Scholastic Badge ATLAS MEDALLION / MARSHAL There are 2 badges really, first the Atlas Park Exploration Badge, Top Dog Badge and a History Badge, Pupil Badge TASK FORCE COMMANDER / INVADER Note: For this Badge, the OP went the Villain route for the Invader Badge Mayhem missions are earned after doing several newspaper missions on the redside. There is a progress bar based on how many newspaper missions you've completed in each zone. Once it's full, the next mission from that broker will be the Mayhem Mission [aside] I love TF's, so I just usually get the TF Commander Badge, by doing the TF's from Positron (2 of them), Synapse, Penelope Yin, Citadel, Manticore, and Numina. Then you don't have to worry about the invader badge FREEDOM PHALANX RESERVE / HIGH PAIN THRESHOLD If you click the link above for Freedom Phalanx Reserve, you'll get the list of Exploration Badges you need and the one History Badge. I hope this helped...As you can see Paragon Wiki is a very valuable resource. Big Disclaimer Paragon Wiki doesn't allow updates beyond the shutdown of the original game in 2012. The Homecoming Team has many several changes, but Paragon Wiki is still accurate 95% of the time.
  6. We are all superheroes and supervillains here, no such thing as a stupid question...only Super stupid questions... I am just kidding, and since this is your first post - Welcome or Welcome back to Paragon City - voted worst city for vegans, because the plants eat you! (stupid devoured earth)
  7. Just scanned it - look's great with room to grow...FWIW - Posts 17 & 18 on the thread are duplicates of 15 & 16. If you can't delete a post, you might just want to clear out 17 & 18 and reserve them for some future need or add-on...
  8. Leogunner - I am a sucker for new powersets - I am totally thinking Reaper (from Batman: Year Two, though he had two scythes (instead of hands), or as mentioned, Grim Reaper... +1 Inf
  9. Another +1 Inf...you are a trooper!
  10. There is a really helpful note in the i25 patch notes :P
  11. Wait..what? Get right to the point? Where are the personal attacks, the long winded justifications, the giant quote pyramid? You sir will not have a successful career as a forum poster here. We need a giant wall of text. Also, welcome or welcome back to the Rogue Isles, recently rated as “best submarine parking,”
  12. hee hee Way too awesome! +1 inf
  13. I saw the main post - looks good...thanks again
  14. what you are looking for differently that has you moving to Blaster and away from a Dominator?
  15. hmm, i'm trying to create a macro for Dark Servant, it's not doing anything: /macro DS "powexec_location 0:50 Dark Servant” what am I doing wrong here? On the face it looks fine...what happens if you just do it as a slash command /powexec_location 0:50 Dark Servant
  16. There seems to have been an issue since the last patch on Thursday 6/27. They made changes to LFG and I have seen lots of issues since then.
  17. I can count on maybe 3 fingers the # of times I have seen AE mentioned in LFG at all...Maybe a few more times in the Help...I'll have to start counting, because honestly, its feels like 80% DFB, and 20% is TF, Radio/Newspaper, or LF Anything. Now, I love AE for PL'ing. I don't PL at all, and I don't do AE. But AE is so much better than having the pitiful spams in broadcast in every zone begging for PL'ing like we had in Live before AE farming took hold. That was the worst. And at least if you use AE for farming, you have to take some action to level up. I remember people who just wanted to get PI and sit at the entrance and literally do nothing while SK'ed to someone else tearing the place up.
  18. You COULD dirty hack it. /macro target "bind tab target_custom_next enemy alive sapper" >.> I don’t even know if that would really work, but I do love the idea of it (and will test it) that you get +1 Now when Shenanigunner comes along...you are on your own :) (Just teasing ya, Shenanigunner!)
  19. Again, not arguing, because on the surface I agree with everything you've said so far...but I want to discuss some of the assumptions here 1.) Dev time to develop content: Unless SCoRE announces a major content push, I wouldn't count on new content happening anytime soon. In 6 years, SCoRE added one TF consisting of 3 missions...So in my mind, new content is pretty moot at this point from the SCoRE team (who does the development for HC). At that rate any significant changes to content won't happen in my lifetime... 2.) So if we assume #1 is true (and I said if - they could surprise us), we need to go elsewhere for content...I'm pretty sure that if players started developing content, it would be vetted and implemented...You mentioned Let's get those people to work, shall we? If such a group is really serious, then I am sure that HC/SCoRE would be really serious at looking at what they could come up with... 3.) Regarding precedence...I think we can really handle that - If we try bonus XP week and it works, then YEAH!, we might seriously want to consider that precedent, because it's valuable. If we try it and in a few months there is <5% gain in Villain population, then people can bring it up all they want and I'll be the first to say - "Look, we tried it, and it doesn't work". 4.) Back to Dev Time: Here are my thoughts on what will make the biggest difference (in order) with only small amount of dev time: Make a forum board for redside - It's really hard to plan events if you have to manage them across 5 shards, and without events, it's just going to be really hard to redside to coordinate Designate an unofficial server - Once the redsiders have a home, they can figure out what's the best server for redsiders and they can choose to consolidate there if teaming up is more important than their current server home After the above are finished, remind people who have given up on the redside, or have ignored it for now, or just haven't gotten around to it, to come back and try it, with a double XP event I think the 1st 2 bullets matter more than the 3rd. And if XP on redside only is a development hurdle, them I am sure that idea will go nowhere, and rightfully so...
  20. The challenge isn't in organizing as a non-profit. There are many online tools to help with this...it isn't really difficult. What's going to be difficult is finding a legitimate purpose that qualifies as a non-profit. On the surface, it's almost like a neighborhood association or golf club, which is a 501©(7). Unfortunately two requirements for an association are opportunities for the entire membership to meet face to face (really hard for an online group) and membership must not be open to the general public (impossible given the current model). So there goes the easy way When most people think of a non-profit, they think of a charity, a 501©(3), but that requires we fall into a lawful (iffy) exempt purpose that supports: And we don't fit any of those categories cleanly... So that leaves just a few options - 1.) Stay as is (for profit) and increase monthly goals to pay corporate taxes 2.) Hold an annual convention (super costly) and restrict membership 3.) Shift the model to be a charity + private server hosting...the charity part gets us to the 501©(3), but I am not sure how far the IRS would really let the "+ private server hosting" be included in that model...And I mean, I really don't know how far the IRS would stretch... For both 1+3, the monthly goals would have to increase (to either cover the taxes or the $$ for charity). For me, I'd pick option 3 - if we are going to have to give more, why not make part of that help a worthy cause... We could have fun costume contests, PVP battles, etc, where the winner each month determines the worthy cause...
  21. Macro's are really easy to edit - just right click the Macro button and click edit... /macro HV "target_custom_next enemy alive sapper" is great for Malta...now I am going to face Sky Raiders...right click/edit the HV button and just replace the "sapper" with "engineer"...done. The only challenge I have is that my fingers are accustomed to finding targets using the keyboard...so I would need a bind...and those are harder to edit...
  22. I love this concept of meeting all these variations of herself. +1 Inf
  23. I think she’s talk about the ~800 character limit for a bio per character. And if so, +1 - I never have enough room to write what I want, though admittedly, I am unlikely to read more than the 800 characters on someone else’s bio
  24. There might be some cases where they can't though, such as getting nailed by a glue grenade in the middle of the room, the primary target being immovable (the Hydra AVs in DFB or Hydra Pylons in Apex) or, in some rare cases, the map being just too darn open, like some parts of the Talos Island hills map. I mean, not trying to say they shouldn't work harder to position better, they definitely should. But it never hurts to spend a pittance of inf on a jetpack for situations when it's not possible or practical. I’m not suggesting for a second we shouldn’t be thoughtful to a Tank that communicates he is slowed. But I don’t think I’ll be giving the Hydra, most AV’s or any Pylons much knockback any time soon. :) But what kind of Fox AT do I design to take on Jimmy Fallon at the KFC?
  25. See the thread pith a poll up top that's labeled "For those who don't play redside - why not?". Right now that is indeed the number one answer. 48/118,317 Your sample size is WAY too small to draw meaningful conclusions. Way to small to draw any statistically significant conclusions. But it’s still data. And changes have been made on less feedback. But i’m still not hearing a reason that doing so will cause a negative experience. And look Steampunkette, I’m not looking for fight or to win an argument here. I really want to see us help more people have more fun on the servers. Do you have some alternate suggestions that are doable in the short term? Let’s solve this together before we lose even more people and even small differences won’t help...
