  1. Time is definitely a commodity in short supply. Between work, kids, other responsibilities, I can see why people want bases constructed for them. 1-2 billion influence doesn't seem unreasonable.
  2. The alternative solution was either telling them to shut it off or kicking the person with group fly as it made us slower than molasses and debuffed our accuracy back in the day.
  3. Personally I'd rather them allow us to expand null the gull dialogue menu to some humanoids and place them in our bases.
  4. Kin Melee is pretty much only playable as a stalker. It's pretty lethargic across the other ATs. I would probably change it up so that all the attacks drain damage and add it to the player as they do now when using power siphon without actually needing power siphon up to the traditional 5 stacks. I'd then change power siphon to act as a PBAoE Fulcrum Shift that only affects the user, that allows the user to exceed the 5 stack cap for a period of time to levy some really jaw dropping hits before wearing off.
  5. No in the OP's message they jot off to alt tab and scroll Facebook or grab coffee and let the team waste a couple rez cool downs on them before they realize that the OP is afk. The OP comes back find themselves dead and asks for a rez and they say we tried twice, quit going afk during the mission.
  6. There's an option when forming a TF that disables invention origin bonuses. If you pick that there will be no blaster tanking a map. Just make sure though to advertise that your running with that option on, otherwise you'll have people quiting as soon as they notice their multimillion influence build does nothing.

  9. That was phase shift. It still exists. Back in the old days everyone took it in PvP as a oh shit I'm about to die (not today Satan) power. PvE players took it for pretty much the same reason and it trivialized content so the devs made it drain more end and have a timer on the power to only last 30 seconds, make it so you couldn't use rest when it was on and have a lockout from being able to phase for awhile.
  10. The overall reduction in IO prices is so true. Many of us OG players have had multiple alts on lives with IO build costs going 3-4x the actual influence cap, so we had to use multiple respecs very carefully when we changed our builds, because that was before unslotters and Respec recipes. I'm definitely in the speed camp myself, and honestly as more players get more familiar with a taskforce or arc they will naturally maximize their rewards vs their time. And let's face it, a large majority of us are all adults that have other shit going on with our lives like work, family, and hell even retirement planning and attending seminars for how to maximize what we can leave to our loved ones without the government stealing more than they should as we age out and die off. Time is money, and I only ever do +4/8 or relentless, etc if I'm looking to test a build out or just really try hard, and if I'm at those difficulties I'm still speeding. If I need XP, I can farm, if I need drops I can buy them or farm them.

As a retired pvper that likes to Speedrun, and play literally every powerset in the game to it's maximum potential I can say that @Croax was spot on with a lot of us using Fire/Fire blasters (although I have been theory crafting a fire/sonic blaster for the extra -14% resistance Debuff in disruption aura, I haven't tested it just yet though), otherwise I really enjoy my fire/cold Corruptor as well for speed runs. DPS though is a bit tricky in this game that there's so many avenues to take into account from melee, ranged, single target, AoE, recharge, procs, your own damage mitigation, enemy resistances/defenses to various damage types, debuffs, player buffs, base empowerment, temp powers, inspiration stacking, and player skill. Given all that it's difficult to nail the coffin shut, an example of that philosophy is when I boot up three masterminds I have on unique accounts to fire farm a meteor map. They were designed to be used in tandem with each other, and can't do it alone, but all three together even though it's just me playing all three clears a meteor map super fast because they can agro so many more mobs at once because of each of their pets. Given that mentality it's not impossible to clear a meteor map in under 2 minutes, it damn difficult as you have to coordinate everything perfectly but it's extremely efficient when you get good at it.

  13. That actually sounds like a fun PvP scenario. Of my 117 lvl 50s, the stalkers start Assassin Striking the Squishies, and for some reason the scrappers are trying to go toe to toe with the tanks and brutes and just exchange blows (silly melee), while the 11 blasters team up and start spiking everyone else and then turn on each other targeting those without max HP, and great mobility. They whittle each other away over the course of a a couple of days of intense fighting and at the end as the dust clears there's only one survivor left standing.... My Ice/Plants Blaster "Kill Steal".

  16. I always played that off in my head as some sort of time travel mechanic in that when I got sent to primal earth, my actions in Praetoria hadn't occurred yet and created a time paradox to explain no one remembering me or losing titles and such.

The only work around that I could think would work isn't allowed because it requires third party software, so I won't elaborate on it. Otherwise, I would look at a rolling text command if you feel you really need a text line, just so your character doesn't have to repeat the same time over and over. Also I imagine you'll build for Perma Dom like every dominator, so will you just activate the normal power while renewing and only costume change when it drops? Might be food for thought, as most of the time a well built dominator stays in domination until the end of combat. Good luck.

  19. I can't be killed, and secondly I've never shared any of my own Excel sheets (I may have shared the link to the ppm proc calculator made by someone else on Google drive, but you've never been graced by my pivot tables).

I might be a bit of a freak, but I have most of the set bonuses (maybe like 90%, some I just hardly use like confuse, immobilize, etc) memorized and can reasonably do the calculations in my head. I do however use excel for my proc rate calculations, and I have mids because I often get asked for copies of my build and then I have to make one on mids to send someone else.

Honestly I have ran through most the content dozens to hundreds of times depending on the content with the exception being the Dr. Aeon TF, I've only done 11 times, and for me the thing to do is theory craft new build combinations and roll them up, part of the reason I have 117 or so lvl 50s that I use. Then find a group of people to play with and be able to adapt to whatever they want to run because you'll have a toon for that.
  22. Personally I've laid out a number of potential Kheldian changes over the years. I think if we were to adjust the inherent, why not lean into the shape shifting, so the inherent changes based on what form you're in. Human form, grants a PBAoE buff based on team composition to the player and nearby teammates (30 feet?). Also Attacks have increased damage/tohit based on the rank of the mob (underling, minion, lieutenant, boss, elite boss, av, monster, giant monster). Nova form, increases damage done to targets based on their HP. Reverse Scourge, attacks do more to targets with more health (This makes for a good opening volley). Also Attacks have increased damage/tohit based on the rank of the mob (underling, minion, lieutenant, boss, elite boss, av, monster, giant monster). Dwarf form, I'd almost give them a fury bar, and once it hits stages 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90/100 is does scaling bonus energy or negative energy damage depending on if peacebringer or warshade. Let's the bar lower as combat ends. Also Attacks have increased damage/tohit based on the rank of the mob (underling, minion, lieutenant, boss, elite boss, av, monster, giant monster).
  23. I actually quite like the auto exempt option. Setting them up like a TF might not be perfect, but I understand why it is, so someone doesn't invite 7 people on the last mission to maximize merit gain. So if there was a way to float a variable that a player had been on the team for the whole arc, then award them the merits, otherwise they are getting xp/influence anyways being exempted down.
  24. I have no issue with this fundamentally speaking. My only thing I kept reservations about is that most low level npc groups do not appropriately level up to 50+. So if we could find a reasonable means of scaling enemies to make the content engaging to a lvl 50 or so character then by all means let's do this. I would imagine they would have to have lvl tiered enemies expanded in the npc groups like what happens with the Circle of Thorns to make such a request feasible.
  25. Using SO's only, and SR Tank. You'd have your defenses softcapped on SO's ++ for sure, and something like Rad Melee would work well. /Stone armor on a stalker is pretty awesome as well. I don't have experience using SO's only, but my IO'd version was tanking Bobcat and the Goliath War Walkers last night while the team fought Neuron. Yeah I know it was a really weird team composition a lot of them were underslotted and the invuln tank would only use hurl and then run away and use rest so I think he was high or something, so the fire tank tried to keep agro on the main target while I kept everything else reasonably busy (until the mastermind pets engaged the war walkers and got the team curb stomped).
