I have 5 of these in my own collection at home. Probably a good idea to update his awards with Italian or even Nazi awards or remove them in general. He sure doesn't deserve the American medals and ribbons.

Asking the tough questions here, but would the untyped damage proc be able to apply damage to a mito regardless of whether the power was ranged or melee, or held for that matter? Or able to defeat the Invincible Reichsman? How would it work for PvP? I do agree that special enhancements should feel well special, and I've often thought reverting them to their original enhancement scale would be a good thing as it then allows a user to slot for secondary effects, procs, or move excess slots to other powers.

Also can't change the color of the extracted nictus. It's always Warshade Purple.

Wider choices of weekly activities
SeraphimKensai replied to MsSmart's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I wouldn't mind a weekly iTrial, where first time through for the week is a Very Rare. Perhaps it must be Master Of, or on a heightened difficulty? -
@Glacier Peakis right in that they will do what they want. Realistically it makes sense to follow a pragmatic approach to work on issues in order of magnitude due to their salience. Ie. Does the bug break the game? Does it make something unplayable? Is it an inconvenience? If so how much? And then probably grab some low hanging fruit here and there for good measure.

The reason that isn't done, is because it could potentially reveal an exploit that would potentially become well known and exacerbate the need for the fix in the first place.

The winter patch looks nothing like my winter. For Christmas and New Years I was swimming in the ocean and it was around 85°. Yeah I know Florida first world problems and that the Paragon City is technically in Rhode Island. But here's hoping that my new Technology Corruptor Dr. Cruise Control will finish it's geographic destabilization and transportation module to beam all of Paragon City to about a mile off the Space Coast, so we can have decorated palm trees and such for the winter patch.

Can anything solo LRSF/Miss Liberty TF?
SeraphimKensai replied to DarknessEternal's topic in General Discussion
I still believe that all the prices here are essentially discount bargain prices compared to back on live where it was the usual in my circle to have builds ranging between 4-8 billion influence worth of IO's. Mind you we created that wealth due to farming, marketing, and being part of a raiding guild that literally had us have mandatory private hami raids as early as the Hamidon has been there. Before the AH and IO's I literally had multiple mule accounts of lvl 50 characters I had farmed, not to actually play, but to hold all the excess HO's I had. That said I don't think paying 25 mil is a lot at least to my mind for an IO, when if you remember a LoTG +7.5 used to be around 200 or so mil by itself back on live. I am though by nature a min-maxer who as some put it likes to go fast (because time is a commodity that's tough to get back) and a cheapskate as my wife calls me, so if I can reasonably achieve the same thing or there abouts for less I will, like @macskullpointed out earlier with travel IO cost compared to travel HO cost. I have also ah/emailed inspirations to myself in the past to have more available for PvP purposes back on live. I haven't tried it during my self imposed retirement, but it definitely made staying in a zone. I still buy EoEs for the occasional hami raid via the AH as is. Inspirations although having been a part of the game since it's inception, are not balanced in relation to the game. Another PvE example is stacking reds in a fire farm. If I was a developer for the game during the live era, I probably would of looked into implementing an inspiration cool down so that they couldn't be stacked, but it gives everyone a chance to pop everything they have every once in a while and really let loose. -
Bane Spiders Forced to Wear Crab Backpack?
SeraphimKensai replied to cohRock's topic in Arachnos Soldier & Widow
I have a crab/bane/wolf spider using three unique builds and because of the crab build they all get the crab legs. I wish though the legs were retractable into the backpack but alas I live with it due to the functionality of hot swapping builds on the fly via macros. -
I was wondering about Stalker's version of Elec Melee as it's unique compared to the other three sets in that because of assassin's Shock it can be built to do pretty reasonable single target damage, but still suffers from Jacob's Ladder issues. Perhaps lowering the end drain scale for stalkers to 0.9 and changing the proposed base end drain of Assassin's Shock from 20% to 15% might be a reasonable compromise as it takes more effort then to drain an opponent before procing the Shocked mechanic and thus more effort to get the extra damage. Does that sound reasonable or logical by any means? I'm kinda just spit balling ideas here to tie in Electric Melee to follow a reasonable path to the revamp that Elec Blast did.

Willpower is a decent layered generalist set that really shines for Regen because of RTTC on Tanks, Brutes, and Scrappers in that order due to max HP for each AT. Willpower on a stalker is pretty much the forget you have a secondary aside of reconstruction. You lose out on RTTC and Quick Recovery as a stalker. It does nothing to boost DPS at all, but hey it has a self res. Super Reflexes allows you to get huge defense/DDR levels, double stacked mez protection and an extra 20% recharge speed to make your attacks come back faster, along with scaling resistance based on your HP. On a stalker, SR is like A tier whereas Willpower is like C tier. If you want to maximize your damage via a secondary you go for Bio or Shield Defense.

At a fork in the road and don't know which way to turn
SeraphimKensai replied to Diantane's topic in Brute
Hopefully I'm not too late to save the day... But I would advise against Agility in a Spines/Fire Armor Brute. The reason for that is...it boosts your enhanced value of your existing powers (not IO bonuses), so you don't really get much bang for your buck in raising your fire defense (which is the only defense that matters if your fire farming, being on a Spines/Fire I assume that's the case). That said I would chase your fire defense with Combat Jumping, Maneuvers, and Weave. Then use IO's (Steadfast/PvP Resistance procs give a combined 6%), aegis resistance IOs are fairly inexpensive, and winter sets are on sale at the moment. Aim for 45% in mids, but if you can't afford that right off the bat, you can get it as high as you can and use amplifiers, and purple inspirations, lower your difficulty to where you can handle as you make influence and drops to finish your toon. Incarnates I would go for... Alpha - Musculature Core Interface - Degenerative or Reactive Destiny - Ageless Core however you can use Barrier for more defense until you get your IOs finished, if you have Ageless you don't need Consume. Lore - Banished Pantheon Radial Hybrid - Assault Core, however you can use Support for more defense until you get your IOs finished. -
I have a lowbie named Mediocre Man that is a DP/WP Sentinel that relies on the gadgets he gets from Temp Powers, otherwise he's just a guy with a couple pistols.

I think since our volunteer dev team just revamped electric blast, we should carry over some revamping to it's melee brother, Electric Melee. The general consensus would have you that Electric Melee lacks some solid single target damage, and is pretty good with aoe damage. A lot of people really dislike Jacob's Ladder as well so without further ado....(also note that I copy pasted the language of the new changes to electric blast and followed the format for electric melee, so a good portion of the language is derived from the post regarding electric blast, didn't want to sound like I'm trying to plagiarize their language)... Electrical Melee "attacks now have a chance to Shock enemies for 20% bonus damage depending on their current Endurance! This damage scales with buffs and enhancements. In addition, Shocking enemies will return a portion of Endurance back to you and inflict -40% Recovery Debuff on your target for 5 seconds each application. Starting at 80% endurance, your chance to Shock will scale from 10% up towards 100% when an enemy is fully drained. This change not only shores up Elec's single target damage conditionally, but also allows players to more easily keep targets drained as their basic attacks will proc Shock and inflict -Recovery the more endurance they drain." AT Specific Endurance Drain Scales Tankers, Brutes, Scrappers, and Stalkers have a 1.0 endurance drain scale. In addition, the following powers had their base End Drain values changed for each AT: Jacob's Ladder- 7% -> 20% Lightning Clap- 0% -> 30% Assassin's Shock- 0% -> 20% Lightning Rod- 0% -> 10% These changes will help the AT's fulfill their roles with Electrical Melee with better Endurance Modification prowess, and easier usage of Shock. Power Changes Jacob's Ladder Jacob's Ladder has been revamped! Taking this power allows you to build Static Charges with each activation of other electrical melee attacks. As Static builds, you can unleash it with Jacob's Ladder where the cone's arc will widen and and range will expand in stages from 50°/7ft -> 60°/8ft -> 70°/9ft -> 80°/10ft -> 90°/11ft -> 100°/12ft. Charged Brawl and Havoc Punch will build Static charges as long as you own Jacob's Ladder. Each Static charge will allow Jacob's Ladder to expand a Stage. For each expansion, you will spend 1 Static. If you expand up to the Maximum Stage, you will expend all Static charges. The power will gain a Blue ring indicating you have reached your Maximum Stage cap. Power Up (Build Up) Build Up has been renamed Power Up Added a scale 2.5 End Mod Str Boost that boosts your endurance drain (Tanker/Brute/Scrapper/Stalker = 25%). This suggestion would bring Electric Melee to a similar design functionality of Electric Blast, ties into the End Drain to boost single target damage. Modifies several powers to do additional end drain to help propagate the Shocked mechanic, and addresses reported issues with the size of Jacob's Ladder, allowing it to be a more useful ability. As usual, I appreciate any feedback. Thanks and Happy New Years.

I always have envenomed daggers on every toon, along with a kinetic dampener for low level stuff (hello Posi and Synapse), a jetpack, and recovery serum for those oh shit moments where I might not have a cab and need a recovery boost in the mid level ranges running multiple toggles. Otherwise I swear by the Recharge Boost from the Base Empowerment Station, it's really cheap for 20% recharge. I just wish I could stack base buffs to have like 8 hours of play time stacked. Otherwise the most important base buff that people completely forget about is Invis. I mean stealthing missions is already easy with taking a multitude of stealth based powers, superspeed, tossing in a stealth IO to Sprint, but people often times neglect that aspect of the game (hell I keep a stealth IO in my tanks extra Sprint just for when the need arises). But base Invis buff is really cheap, and quite effective for stealthing missions. Once again I wish it was stackable as well. Edit... That all said I always build my characters to be self sufficient without temps or incarnates, they are just icing on the cake.

Skipping Dull Pain - Heresy? - IGNORE, Mids Problem
SeraphimKensai replied to Bill Z Bubba's topic in Tanker
Curious what your build looks like if you have that much HP without Dull Pain especially in relation to other layers of mitigation, resistance/defense. I'm already skeptical due to you not taking TF or ET, as those would be the reason I would play EM (coming from a retired PvP background), as those powers would be very useful for whittling down an AV solo. Since I'm at work I'll have to check your link when I get home. -
I have an Incarnate elec/fire sentinel, which was fine before. Not the most survivable of my sentinels but did decent enough damage. I haven't played it since the last page though, so not sure how it interacts with the revamp to elec blast, so I may need to test and Respec.

Positive Gamer No Longer Playing CoH, Very Horrible Story
SeraphimKensai replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
Fixed it for you. -
Hell I had just turned 20 playing Beta back in 2004. The crazy thing is I hit 50 at a cyber cafe in Kuwait as we were transitioning into theatre. Once we went north there was no more internet for about 6 months when a bunch of us paid $4k for a satellite connection to split from the Iraqi man that got clearance to sell bootleg DVDs on our FOB. Playing CoH.over there was like trying to download porn in the mid 90's, a slideshow.

I do remember your one drunken bender on the old school forums from post 11,500-14,000 where you literally just kept rambling on about chicken nuggets and tater tots and which one would win if the two went to war and then made up individual identities for your chicken nuggets and tater tots while they tried to appease their god by sacrificing the weakest members of their tribes first.

White Dwarf compared to a Tank
SeraphimKensai replied to JasperStone's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
I have a defender with provoke for that very reason. I still have people look at me like I'm crazy when I'm tanking +4 rommy on it. -
I would drag the body to Ourosboro and have Mender Silos try and check the DNA on your Lord Nemesis to see if you get a match, only then you'd know for sure.

I still spell the word okay, not as "ok"; I'm not trying to abbreviate the state of Oklahoma. This I concur, and advanced degrees shall be ceremoniously striped. Need everyone with a doctorate (especially including juris doctorates) [as who like a lawyer?], and line up with your degrees for a brief interro... inspection by the Grammar Gestapo. Anyone with a Masters be warned your inspection is next week...
