Strictly speaking, you only get about 20 million inf from missions, including the selling of common and uncommon salvage, which for all in tents and porpoises, is practically chump change. There are a few tricks to playing the mysterious AH such as selling off merits, craft-convert-sell IOs, etc. You also get about 80-100 recipe drops from level 10-50 just from door missions (task/strike force excluded).

I don't know if it's a secret, but it's something I've observed. Ambush mobs from Legacy Chain, Wyvern, Tsoo, Family, even Longbow and Rikti have followed me down elevators like how the premature protectors in Doc Buzzsaw's arc will chase you down (2 elevators even); but normal mobs will lose interest and go back to their post if you slip inside a lift. Also, Ambush mobs that spawn from clicking a glowie will rush to where you were when the NPC chatter is uttered (in chat). So as soon as they say their line, move to a different spot and you can catch them off guard.

I do love Group Fly on Bots. But I feel the odd man out when I team with that toon, so she flies solo most of the time. Another option would be like the Team Transport dialogue box, or the Magic Fortune (from P2W... similar to insp chest and secondary mutation... I forget the exact name)... that asks a Y/N input if you want another players Group Fly to affect you whenever it is toggled on. If a player joins a team with it on, then everyone else just carries on how they were. But if it's toggled off and then turned on, then you get the confirmation dialogue.

On some missions, very rare though. Usually an ambush mob will, not a regular spawned mob.

I dunno. speaking from a villain's point of view, I'd shoot the hostage if he/she was too noisy. 😃

What are your tips for managing a large character roster?
Six-Six replied to oedipus_tex's topic in General Discussion
I play mostly Hardcore Hobo style. Each toon to his own. What he doesn't need gets sold. No sharing between alts: salvage, recipes, IOs, merits, inf. As for content. Each toon lives his own life, paves his own path. Not every toon does a mother ship raid, or a certain TF, or gets a certain accolade. So the only organisation I have is thematic. Fantasy-leaning toons all belong to one SG (and one page in the character roster), galactic spacey alien things in another, etc. I recently moved all my blasters to a separate shard, but lately some Doms have made it across as well. -
Vampire movies, powers, themes, and my Nicolas Cage resentment...
Six-Six replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Dark/Savage Dominator would also fit the bill nicely. I choose Dark over Mind because the tool sets have a more nefarious theme to them. Then you got the Umbra Beast hellhound and savage's the control over birds and bees. You can add Psionic Mastery for some thematic animation of Mental Blast and Psi Tornado... I would've gone with Soul Mastery, but doms don't get the tentacles and Soul Storm (which IMO is the best animation for a hold in the entire game). a power named Blood Craze is just icing on the top. -
Soloing and destined to fail missions
Six-Six replied to Without_Pause's topic in General Discussion
I think some missions favour some ATs and/or powers more than others. I've both succeeded and failed in the same mission depending on the toon I brought. Most of them can be accomplished with a bit of planning and preparation, knowing what to expect... of course, that in itself is a bit of a catch-22 since you're not supposed to have prior knowledge of what's about to happen. 😃 The one that irks me the most is the stop X from escaping. I block THE ONLY corridor he can exit, but he still manages to get past me without me seeing him. -
something close to "I reckon"???

I have a Bots/Dark/Soul that's a solo GM killer. Starts out a little slow, but steady. Things pick up drastically with Soul tools. Oh, and Group Flight on Bots is da bomb. Other than that, I do enjoy doggies and demons. I only have project toons for them: one only has the 3 demonlings and the rest are power pools (pool boy challenge), the other only trained until 10 (currently level 25) with just the three little doggies and the first two kin powers... which is pretty much a testament to how strong they are. I also have one with just the Assault Bot (Appleseed concept). My Ninja's are so hyperactive that they run all over the place and are always out of end, so they just stand there waiting for an attack to be possible. My Mercs are also shelved, but that's more of a personal gimped project that doesn't allow IO sets. And my Bots/FF seems a bit redundant and lackluster--although he was my first, so he probably just needs a respec with all the things I've learned so far. I've honestly haven't levelled up my Zombies, Demons, and Thugs to their full glory (full six-man army), but I'm sure they'll be just as fun... though Zombies run as fast as NPC hostages =(. On a different note, I have a Tankermind Crab that plays really close to an MM, though the recharge prevents me from having all my pets out at the same time. And everybody's got petless or two, right?

@Shocktacular haha. thanks. It's the glowy ice/fire chest detail. Here's the costume file so you can analyse it in detail. I'd probably murder the explanation. 😃 Volkanus.costume Afterthought: The only other explanation I could think of was my monitor/graphic settings. I'm on an ancient computer, so my graphic settings are really low. I know those affect how the costume pieces are displayed.

I have one of almost all primaries. I can't comment on the stats, but "feel" wise, I personally think that the hand blasts sets only come second Dual Pistols (ninja stance is mandatory). However, DP/Nin doesn't seem to unsheath the katana, unlike the blast sets... must be because of the DP redraw. Archery is another thematically sound choice, though I feel that the bow to blade to bow switching is a bit janky. I gave up on AR and Beam because of the animation bug (weapons firing from your feet instead of the muzzle). Once this is fixed, I will surely make them 😃

I've been doing Seer Marino's arc with every new toon I cough up. It's one of my favourite arcs. And yes, every single time, the 3rd mission would always point the wrong way. It varies: sometimes there would be no marker, sometimes there would be one somewhere on the map, yet the pin would still point to the office door (2nd mission). I usually remedy this by doing another mission, preferably in a different zone. And when i come back to Mercy, the erring map pointer would rectify itself. Edit: I think I may have found a solution to Seer Marino's 3rd mission. After the second mission, exit the Arachnos office BEFORE you call Marino for the next mission. This solution has worked for me several times now. However, just these past few days, most of my St. Martial contacts (Sonata, Jezebel, Hard Luck, Croupier) would have missions that would point to the Kill Longbow + Rob Family event. Exiting zone or the game doesn't help. I had to abandon mission then talk to the contact again to get the proper mission door map marker. This has never happened with any of my previous (50+) toons.

Aye!!! I'll then have a concept with which to use Leviathan Mastery. (So far I can only reconcile a couple of toons for it). And please have an alt skin for the henchmen that look like ghost pirates.

I did once on a dp sent. He had a macro that would switch ammo type along with build and (slight variation of) costume--cybertech jacket and resitance pants highlight colours. Each build would optimise the ammo type like damage and chance to burn for incendiary, slows for cryo rounds, etc. But that was part of his concept. Incarnates didn't factor in so well with the forced cooldown of switching builds, but I didn't mind. Expensive too. On regular toons, no. Each toon has his own personality which is evident in his fighting style and hence build. If I really wanted a different build direction on a particular power combo that I really enjoy, I just roll a new one with the same powers. Yes, even my spiders. I have several toons with duplicate power sets but totally different builds (plus personality and play style).

Do your ninjas run out of end? My ninjas will sometimes just stand there because they can't attack because they're out of end. Don't know how to fix that, and it doesn't happen with my demons, bots, mercs or zombies. =(

Oh nose! now they're breeding. =D

wolves and lionesses look like they're doggies and kitties picked up by the scruff. So demon's aren't as bad as beasts. I think Group fly aesthetically works best for Bots as they even get rocket boosters on their feet. I wouldn't mind a winged demon version. I have never tried it on thugs, mercs, or zombies, but I'm assuming they'd look like regular characters when flight is toggled given how group flight affects team members.

I get that sometimes. But there are other times that the pistols display normal. on a different note, the pistol attacks are kinda meh on an MM (both stats and animation). IMHO not worth taking.

I'm also slipping in some CC procs where I can, so it's not just damage, like chance for recharge slow, disorient, etc. 😃

Right. I think I got a good grip on it now. @Luminara's build was a little too expensive for now, so I just replaced some sets with what I had in my stash. I pretty much did a mix and match of both builds. I'll take it for a test run later. Just went on a test drive. She handles like a dream now. HP barely dips, I still get a little winded at times, but manageable. I'm thinking twice about Soul Patron and may go with Body Mastery. Def, Res and Damage will just keep going up as I earn more slots (and inf for IOs). Now she's a fun toon. Thanks again, @Bill Z Bubba and Luminara. 😃

Thank you Mr. Bubba. I'll give my feeble brain some time absorb it for a few minutes.
