Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of Excelsior. May your next year be better than the last.

I bought 200 and stored them for future builds. I had thought to turn them around, but I realized I would just spend the influence on the same thing I sold in a few weeks. Selling didn't seem to make much sense after some thought.

Windows 10 intermittently making number row unusable.

I would say you are right. Try opening up the notifications bar, bottom right corner of the task bar looks like a chat symbol. At the top right is a line that says "Manage Notifications". Start turning stuff off that you don't think you need until it goes away. -
First thing I would do is make sure all of the drivers are up to date. Check for viruses and malware. I like malwarebytes myself. Lastly it could be some other program that is eating up your GPU cycles. I had an app install a crypto miner without telling me. Took me a couple of days to find it. Task Manager can be your friend.

Nope, you can get to Ouro at level 1. Issues 27 change

This used to happen fairly regularly on Excelsior. I have the three biggest offenders on ignore now. Epeen is something I can live without.

Thanks to @mindripper and @Spider for helping get the rest of the Arena badges! I truly appreciate it!!!

Weekly Discussion 81: The Player-Market

I list my white and yellow salvage for 1 inf all the time. It's not worth typing more characters and I don't like vendoring it. -

Exactly my point. All it does is confuse the perceived market cap. You might get lucky and get a LoTG for 5 inf, but it is extremely unlikely. I would be willing to bet there are bids for that amount out there though. And in the other direction someone has likely posted some for 100mm because; "It might sell and I'll make a fortune." OR they are parking something they might use later and are willing to eat the fees instead of just leaving it in the ready to post bucket. -

Part of what is missing here is that if you put up a bid or an item and then log out it stays on the market. So what happens if someone has bids or items and logs out and doesn't ever come back? The bids/items just hang out there taking up space. Unless of course they happen to fill. Which is unlikely if they are priced out of the current range. Should there be a expiry time for bids/items? Maybe, but I don't see it as a huge problem other than mucking up the display and giving a false sense of Market Cap. -
This has been an issue since Live so I don't think this is the root cause. It might be making it worse though.

Weekly Discussion 81: The Player-Market

I'll chime in on the spreadsheet discussion. I have made literally billions on the market without once ever touching a spreadsheet. It isn't rocket science or brain surgery regardless of what Doc Buzzsaw wants you to believe. It does take a few minutes of looking at what sells good and what doesn't. That is really the difficult part of it. The rest is crafting and converting. Or potentially just flipping recipes to enhancements or just flipping enhancements from low bids to higher bids. It isn't difficult by any means, but it isn't super exciting for most people either. Strawman arguments like "You have to have a spreadsheet." or " I can't self fund through drops." are trash. Both statements are patently untrue. You don't need a spreadsheet to figure out the market and you can self fund through drops. A spreadsheet might help if you take the time to fill it out properly. Drops can fund your builds, I did it on Live for a very long time. It is just slow as molasses. -

And none of these things are required to make an enjoyable and playable build. Sure they can make a build better, but they certainly are not required. On Live I never used high value recipes and my toons did just fine using supposedly "sub-optimal" builds. My usual build on Live was around 30M-50M which was dirt cheap and still is. I regularly did Master of Runs and hard mode content without dying and contributing just as much as any other player. Drop rates are just fine as is. The market works as is, although as most everyone has agreed, a tutorial and fixes are sorely needed. I can take anyone and teach them to make money on the market in ten minutes or less. I taught my wife and she is about the most disinterested person I know in playing meta games. I get it, some folks just hate dealing with the market, but just because those folks hate it, I can 100% guarantee that there are just as many who love the whole market meta game and that is just about all they log in for. Same can be said for farmers. Some folks hate it and for some it is literally all they do. Whether you realize it or not, marketers and farmers help round out the game balance even though glancing at it from the outside it might appear that they create imbalance. If it weren't for them, all those rare recipes would be hyper-inflated and next to non-existent to buy. Finally, I am just going to say this: Not everyone needs a FOTM build. Not everyone necessarily wants a FOTM build. That is part of what makes this game so nice. FOTM. JUST. ISN'T. NEEDED. -

This is pretty much my list of things as well. 1. The game needs sorting in a bunch of places, not just the market. 2. Market data is lousy and broken as is. There isn't enough data to make a decent purchase/posting decision. Today Miracle +Recovery were showing @11M which is way out of line for reality. 3. Base access is a non-starter. While it would be awesome, there are some pretty serious technical hurdles to overcome. 4. Text scaling would be great. On a 4k screen it is next to impossible to read. 5. Claim all, yes please. And a Post all would be nice. 6. Posting/Buying more than 10 at a time. It takes forever to drop any amount of salvage on the market. 7. Search function could be improved greatly. As it is, you get tons of irrelevant items instead of a short list of things that actually make sense. 8. Broken record... Fix the bugs. It is still one of the best MMO markets that I have used, but it really needs some love. -
I need the arena badges if you can help me out as well. Edit: Also on Excelsior.

I think the most controversial thing about The Mandalorian is... Seriously though. It is a well written show. One of the best Star Wars shows in quite a while in my opinion. Sure there are a few things that could be better, but who doesn't like the story of a single dad taking his son on adventures and finding new friends along the way to help him raise his kid?

I don't have the volcano, chicken and the Virginian to do it properly.

Probably Excelsior, although I was playing a bit on Torchbearer at that time. We could try summoning @Warface and see if he responds.
