  1. Is the player's name a secret?
  2. I was looking around in the character creator and I could envision up-down animations like hack, cleave, or clobber for a single target blast, one of the whirls for PBAoE, and any of the swinging right to left as cones. Some of them already have particle effects at the supposed point of contact. I grant you that original animations for a wand/staff blast set would be better but I think there is enough to work with.
  3. They're waiting for the next version of Windows Android. Duh.
  4. Damn. I had read of his tragic accident and was hoping and praying that he would see it through. Rest well, my friend.
  5. I vaguely recall discussion of the launcher having the capability to be customized with existing player-created add-ons like Mids, VidiotMaps, and other custom stuff. Is that what you mean by "Addon manager and updating"?
  6. What if we used an assortment of the other weapon animations from Axe, Broadsword, Mace, Staff, and Titan Weapons and then just add a particle blast at the end?
  7. Now I'm imagining holding the staff in front of the character's face while doing any of the breath attacks. And I want to see that in game. Damn you, Ejlertson and Luminara!
  8. I think it depends on the level and the content. If you are running Positron or other low level TF you are much less likely to see a long list of set bonuses than if you are running I-trials, Hamidon, or other end game stuff . . . and rightly so!
  9. I still think that we don't need any major changes to the way player or critter powers work, or a major nerfing of IOs, or any other game-changing depowering of players. All we need is to add the Ouro and TF difficulty settings to regular content with some token reward for the extra difficulty. That and perhaps new incarnate level critters with buffs, debuffs, and more challenging AI (if possible).
  10. What if you gave a new group a little extra AoE defense. That would make a few more critters survive the player alpha strike. It would make little difference in big AoE teams, but solo and small teams would have to think about it.
  11. Took me a bit of work as well, but I finally got out to the ship and gas station.
  12. I know this much is Troo.
  13. It's my fault. I stopped being helpful. Well, I stopped playing. Not forever, but just haven't been feeling it lately.
  14. Part myth, part truth. Once you have aggro'd a critter, they will stick to you unless they find a bigger threat, kill you, die, or start running away in fear of your awesomeness. You can aggro critters by attacking, taunting, debuffing, OR being seen. This is why you can stand in a huge crowd if you have complete invisibility (whatever combo you use to get there), until you take some aggressive action, including taunt and debuff auras. But if you have no stealth, critters will attack as soon as they see you. Personally, I don't turn off my stealth auras because most of them have additional benefits that outweigh not being seen. If I or anyone around me wants to be seen, they just need to click some buttons.
  15. The updated commands that allow you to TP to a target makes it easier now than live. As for tanky-tanks, I recommend Rad/Dark - with some IOs you can hit capped resists, soft-cap defense, endless endurance, 2 self-heals plus a team heal, -tohit making you and everyone else on the team harder to hit, and some decent AoE capability.
  16. Hi! I forgot what we were talking about so I quoted it here to remind me. The generally stated goal of having every AT and powerset have a worthy role sounds good to me. I understand the desire to have some sort of balance. I just hope we don't play a never ending game of nerfing one thing and buffing another, just to come back again in the future to nerf the next king of the hill and push the next bottom of the barrel closer to the top. I don't make as many proc monsters as some, but I am worried about what may become of procs. I would suggest some kind of diminishing returns such that one or two procs are essentially left as is but each additional proc after that would have a reduction of either damage or chance.
  17. I'm Flea. I do what I want. Any old time.
  18. I think you deserve a 50% raise!
  19. But Jimmy, why should Piecemeal have all the fun? Fleas are people too!
  20. Devouring Freakloks!
  21. When you have many players that can solo +4/x8 any additional player is superfluous. There's nothing wrong in my mind to want to be able to solo like that. But having the character that can easily solo +4/8 participate in a team at less than 50 and still have 100% of their powers, including I-Powers (except for the 2nd and 3rd level shift), is beyond absurd and makes the rest of the team completely superfluous while the Uber-character isn't even breaking a sweat. Beyond that, it makes little logical or lore sense for one to have all those powers when specifically "powering down" to help, which is what the exemp system is supposed to represent.
  22. I don't care what you say, I still blame Con Flict.
  23. Here's an idea: What if we limited I-powers only to level 50+ content? It's only a slight limitation from what already exists but it always seemed odd to me to see a character T4 in all incarnate powers in level 45-49 stuff.
