  2. yeah, i am starting to "feel" that. i am an invulnerable brute addict, and i use Hyperstrikes bulletproof builds for that. Now i am on a Dark, my top Def is a melee 32%. But i am semi-stealthed. i have a confuse aura and a fear aura. and every one of my attacks (dark/dark) is -tohit debuffs. i can get pasted. but it is darned rare. i built up my resists and have one of the best heals in the game, so rarely do i fall. It is a shockingly tough design after being cultured to 45% softcap+more in incarnate. and no def debuff protection. i can solo the itf altar scene on +4 and rarely experience difficulty.

  4. since my Dark/Dark Brute has Soul Drain up near Perma (36.5 rech on a 30 sec buff) i am mostly fueling that . at +6 to-hit (kismet) and +70 accuracy it seems i am doing okay. Since Soul Drain adds +to-hit i think i can safely move on to solving other prob imaginary problems with this toon. but the To-hit brute will happen. maybe a Energy/Willpower

  6. After re-looking at this I want the accuracy power from Energy Mastery back lol. But I cannot fit it on this toon. I will experiment with a Brute using Energy Mastery Focused Accuracy, leadeership Tactics and Kismet. Should be a fun way to abuse to-hit lol. Just need the right concept. Alt Again!
  7. only use empyreans for VR or Rare. period. my opinion of course. ONLY VR OR RARE. All else falls naturally into place by running the 50, threads make commons, generally you get overloaded in uncommons and can downgrade those to commons toward end of T3-T4 work

  9. Okay. So adding to-hit, like a Kismet Global is a 1 to 1. Adding accuracy is a 1 to .75. is that steady or is there diminishing returns?
  10. Can someone go over the analysis of the to-hit and accuracy mechanics? Whatever part of my brain was storing that found something better to do. No doubt cat memes.
  11. By and large this is a friendly group as you will find in an MMORPG. Beyond that most people who say they are going to "attempt X" It is already in the bag. These folks tend to know their stuff. The camaraderie of good players who get stuff done is a heady mix. And yes, generous. The last is a tribute to the current Devs as much as the player base. THe Dev team has made tweaks to the AH and smoothed a lot of the time/reward hiccups. A good player can farm or market or w/e they like and end up rolling in extra bank pretty fast. High End enhancers flow like water. Unless you are popping a new 50 every week you want to purple you will not be short of hundreds of millions once you get the hang of it.
  12. i can see that being a beautiful thing on a stalker. blink, right next to target. I have been maining a dark/dark Brute since late October. I have Mystic Flight w/ the ghetto TP built in. It is really good. I can stealth glowie missions. I also find as I get better with it ingenious ways to get past knots of traffic jams that I could just waltz through, but physically cannot. Porting right onto an Orange Bagel portal door is another sweet time saver. Porting into the downward tunnels in the become an incarnate kill Trapdoor. I cannot fall into those easily. But port? Done. I do not have room on my Brute for the TP Travel set. But I have another Dom in my future...and there is no doubt that will happen.
  13. Yes, you want your main attacks slotted for damage, pretty much until diminishing returns set in. I ran SS Brutes for years. generally even at low levels I had one acc and 2 damage SOs, 3 Dam SOs as soon as I could fit. Good sets let you have more flexibility there. But yes my Brute compatriot. Enhance your Damage. Enjoy the Smash
  14. i run dark armor with all toggles on. i also run the two fighting shields. in previous versions (well, one still exists, intact) i have also used energy masterys accuracy toggle as well as combat jumping and manuevers. i find the extra defense unnecessary. i also find the accuracy toggle not as good as dropping all energy mastery and replacing with soul mastery and throwing purples in the two AoE powers there.
  15. Adding a 50+ version of ITF (all team members must be 50 possibly?) that goes higher than 50+4? That is a regular among hard core late game players. I run it every couple days at least on my 50. Drops/merits/etc. Last night there were 4-5 incarnates and a few lower. We melted the thing. Rom gave up before his 3rd kill and awarded "Mission Complete" which was funny as hell. We killed him and finished towers, but he knows how to concede.
  16. generally i like the auction system in City. top notch. compare to say...WoW....bottom toilet Very easy to understand. 1st sold, lowest asking price. first buy highest paying price. How can any auction designer screw that up...nvm...peeps... My AH UI dtill does not load last 5 bids for crap. Fix that and makes it last 10 and you would improve an already well functioning system. Props for merging salvage and seeding stuff as well. You guys are great.
  17. If you do not get the "right" 6 drops perfectly you can convert them "in set" using enhancement converters until they turn into the one you want

    Dark Dark builds

    lol. Yeah, I still havent taken the time to do it. After I 50d (Thursday night? Friday?) I spent the rest of my gaming time Incarnating. Now tier 4 on all 6 powers (I got real lucky on drops...so many VRs I have two notices of the well left over I did not need to use, one from the weekly, one from the badge) Now I am spending the week (working sigh, so just here and there) knocking out Accolade Powers. This weekend I will start seriously knocking out the 35-50 content. THen next weekend I will do Christmas madness.
  20. i do not know what you are building. but if it is any AT with invulnerability armor search Hyperstrikes generic Invul guide for any AT. it is sick how tight the design is.

  22. running solo i assume you are doing story arcs, running at +0/x1? I run Story Arcs a lot, then I run the same characters in madness filled Incarnate Trials and +4 ITFs. They are two different games. Running solo is an interesting cruise along the top of the water. Sometimes complicated or amazing. Does not require a ton of....anything really. Heavy 50 content is going deep and you have to build for the pressure and how you want the build to perform. And it is a learning process of what is good, what works for you, what you like. Some peoples slow resistance is never get hit. Then on the odd chance they do get hit they deal with consequences. (fly, break free, suffer....) I use a Force Feedback +rech in Kick attack from fighting pool. I know if I ever need to kick something my Rech has been nerfed to crap so it was a perfect decision...
