  1. 3.2% might sound small on paper, but in reality since the Defence softcap is 45%, 3.2% is actually 7.1% of the total amound of +def you need to attain the cap so it's a bit bigger than it might seem. Maneuvers is also a place where you can put Defence IO sets which you are really lacking in Regen, Luck of the Gambler, Reactive Defence and Shield Wall all have some fantastic frankenslots you can drop into Maneuvers. Personally, I would drop Revive instead of Maneuvers to pick up Recall Friend. You can get a Revive power from the Pay2Win vendor for 1mill that is only slightly worse than the one from Regen: no 15 sec invul but you can "strategically die" so that you won't need that invul anyways if you don't rez in the middle of a spawn.
  2. I see it go off regularly on every target of a pbaoe
  3. By tank the DFB AV, you mean the AV spits random ground target nukes that take 10 seconds to blow up and people run out from under them ? Tanking AVs, may or may not be slightly different in other parts of the game....
  4. Just to be sure, 2GB is 16x less than the amount of storage on most phones. I you guys meant TB, then honestly I wouldn't recommend a 2TB SSD, they are way too expensive currently. Get a 250-500Gb SSD and pair it with a 2TB HDD for storage that will run you like 40$ Motherboards have only had M.2 slots for a few years now, it's only now becoming standard. You can also have a PCI-e adapter to get an M.2 drive in any PC, just slot it next to your video card This is a M.2 on a motherboard This is a M.2 adapter for a PCI-e slot, they run around 10-20$
  5. Scrappers that have damage auras totally do need the taunt aura though, or else nobody would turn the damage auras on because the mobs would constantly run out of it !
  6. This is how my cat let's me know it's time for some rubs. Yes, that's a pillow shaped like toast
  7. Titan Weapon is where it's at for feeling (and being) powerful. Those HUGE wind up swings, followed by rapid fire ones that knock everything down are glorious ! Just keep in mind that TW is a LATE BLOOMER and that you will suck real bad for the first few levels and until you get your last power the set is very incomplete
  8. For sure I'll be rolling a TW tanker when the changes hit ! Yes it is a surprisingly deep set with a variety of ways to go about it. I sometimes switch out to Defensive mode when I am doing incarnate content for certain encounters when I see I am dropping but usually I try to stay in Offensive for that sweet sweet 25% damage buff to stack on top of my sweet sweet crits 😛 The only major difference I have between my build and yours (other than scrapper ATO of course) is that I have Defensive Sweep unslotted. The only thing in it is a Luck of the Gambler +haste IO, since Defensive Sweep does so little damage anyway, and I only really use it for the +Def I rather have those slots elsewhere. The +acc from my other set bonuses and the +dmg from T3 or T4 Musculature Core bring it up to an acceptable level. I just use Titan Sweep, Whirling Smash and Arc of Destruction as my AoE rotation. Defensive Sweep I only use at the start of fights to help on the Alpha Strikes Also, instead of Tactics, I have Crushing Blow. I used to run Assault but I found that extra Leadership toggle pushed me over the edge and I could not keep up with the end drain. Maybe this is where your end problems stem from ?
  9. But 300$ for a case is ok ? XD Ergonomics is SO important to me, I started developing carpal tunnel and having a proper desk just adjustable legs alleviates all of that. I know that feel. I usually try to get something in the 50$ range that has good reviews. I had a cheapo case back in the day with terrible management and sharp edges, never again. I have been using Corsair cases for my previous 2 builds and I am very satisfied with the build quality and cable management options in them. My current case is a Corsair Carbide Spec-02. The 2 main things I look for in a case are pretty simple : Front facing USB-3.0 ports and a 50$ price tag lol and Corsair delivers for me. I don't care about RGB either. Most of the parts come with integrated RGB nowadays but I end up turning all that fluff off in the BIOS because I find it distracting.
  10. *also a computer tech* If you are buying a PC from an online retailer, they will usually tell you what is in the machine they will ship. If the seller you are purchasing from does not reveal this information up front, like the wattage of the PSU, you can expect some jank. Reputable sellers like ibuypower will straight up tell you everything about the parts in the build you are buying. Everything from the brand to the wattage to the certification level. That's a nifty looking case but I could never get into the whole watercooling every part of my pc thing. I have been using closed loop water coolers for CPU for a while though. I have the Corsair Hydro H60 in my current build. Easy to install, no maintenance, no leaks, no hassle and it handles my 10% OC no problem (Actually my first build I've OCed). I have my case on the ground next to my desk on a small riser (1 foot) i built so that it isn't right on the floor. The dinky monitor on the left is gone, I put a lamp there instead lol If you are looking for a BITCHING computer desk, I can't recommend the Arozzi Arena desk enough. You see that surface ? Yeah, that ALL mousepad, like 15 sq ft of mousepad https://arozzi.com/product/arena/ @Hyperstrike Just for the funzies, do you know what kind of score your machine got in Time Spy and Firestrike ?
  11. They DO have a warranty though so you are covered on that end
  12. I think you are doing something wrong if you run out of Endo, I can farm non-stop in AE with my TW/Bio Scrapper in Offensive Adaptation and never run out of gas (or have to use blue cookies). I hit DNA Siphon every fight and the +recovery from that lets me spam all night long
  13. SATA SSDs have been out for so long that even they are getting outdated by now. NVME versions of SSD read about 5 times faster than regular old SSDs. Like others have pointed out, while still more expensive per Gig than HDD, they are very affordable and worthwhile to purchase SATA HDD = 100 mb/sec read SATA SSD = 550 mb/sec read NVME SSD = 2600 mb/sec read
  14. I understand your misgivings, but it honestly has been working for me for years, and if it stops working eventually ? Well, I'm out 3$, which is why I wanted to try it out in the first place. And them all I have to do is get a real license, open up Windows Update and plop the key in there. It wouldn't even force me to format.
  15. If you are just looking for a new HD, this is what you want to be getting. Samsung makes some of the best SSDs on the market. https://www.newegg.com/samsung-860-evo-series-500gb/p/N82E16820147674?Item=N82E16820147674
  16. @Gulbasaur Thanks for the write up, looks real fun ! As a first time Widow about to roll his first Widow, which of the 2 builds would you recommend ?
  17. I also build my own PCs from scratch, have been doing it for the past 15 years. What I have found out a few years back is that you can get Windows 10 Pro licences on ebay for dirt cheap. I have been using these licences for my past 3 builds and have not run into a single problem using them. Everything activates correctly, no errors or anything, I'm talking like under 5$ level of dirt cheap : https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Windows-10-Home-32-64bit-Genuine-Key-Product-key-Windows-10-Home-key/392445301215?hash=item5b5f9011df:g:ZCYAAOSwx7Jdi2-d
  18. Here ia a quick rundown of that the Nvidia video card numbers mean: GTX 1050ti GTX = "performance" series, the lower powered cards (that can still game somewhat in older games or well optimized games at lower settings) are named GT and have product numbers lower that 50 (ex GT 1030) 10 = the series number, all cards in the 10 series will run off the same architecture. The 10 series' architecture is named "Pascal". These number will increment with each new generation of cards. Nvidia has kinda ditched their less confusing series numbering with the new Turing architecture. The cards with Ray Tracing (next gen lighting support) will be the 20 (GTX 2060) series and the Turing cards without Ray Tracing are the 16 series (GTX 1660) 50 = This is the number that designated the different models within each series. Typically 50 (GTX 1050) is the entry point into the "performance" line of cards and 80 (GTX 1080) being the high end cards. ti = means "Titanium" it designates a more powerful variant within a model. A 1050ti is more powerful than a 1050. Also a 1050ti is almost equivalent to a 1060. On the high end a 1080ti is significantly more powerful (and expensive) than a 1080. What does this all mean ? Typically you want to get the latest series of cards because the new architectures are more powerful and power efficient for a similar price point. If I were to buy a new card today, I would buy into the 16 series because they offer the best value for $$$. Ray tracing is a nice dream that will come true in the coming years but as it stands very little games make use of this technology as of date which makes me hesitant to get a 20 series card. What to get ? If you want an entry level card that will game just fine in 1080p resolution at 60 fps get a 1650ti If you want to game at 1080p resolution at 144fps, get a 1660ti If you want to game at 4k resolution at 30fps get a 2070 If you want to game at 4k resolution at 60fps get a 2080 If you want to game at 4k resolution at 144 fps you will need TWO 2080 cards in SLI which is extremely expensive These are just general recommendations, a lot will be dependant on what kind of RAM and CPU you have in your machine and max/ultra settings are different performance wise for every game. League of Legends is a lot easier to max out than Metro Exodus for example. If all you do is CoH and regular internets and office work, go for the 1650ti. Here's a nice looking prebuilt computer https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-000B-000K9
  19. Yes and the company used to throw these "hardcore" players a bone to shut them up when they added QoL changes. There are a bunch of these anti-QoL options in the settings menu, like having to draw weapons every time among others.
  20. You should try this build as a Scrapper. Saying this since you are well under the resist cap for Brutes anyway, you might as well try it as Scrapper and have more consistent damage. You would probably lose a bit of HP doing so, but it's worth the look imo

    AE Farm

I run farms on a TW/Bio Scrapper. Doing the s/l farm in the spacey asteroid mission (#10890) I get done in about 8-9 minutes per run for 17-18 million gain. Sure I could shave off a minute or whatever per run if I was Spine/Fire but I can't be bothered to spend hours and hours to level up and gear a dedicated farmer for little gain in the end. Also, I don't find Spines to be a fun set to play, Pretty much play what you want, as long as your defences and resists are up there you can farm very well with any set that has some good aoe potential. I haven't looked around to find them but I am fairly certain that there are farm missions tailored to multiple different damage types.
  22. My TW/Bio is a scrapper so I come from that perspective. Firstly, what stance are you using ? Brutes benefit the least from the +25% damage from the Offensive Adaptation since they stack +dmg% naturally from their Fury mechanic, so Defensive or Efficient adaptations are probably more suited to being a Brute. My scrapper always runs in Offensive Adaptation when I am doing farms, and I will switch to Defensive when I am doing ITF or other higher level content where I see my HP dropping even through my regular clickies. The thing with /Bio is that you need to press your buttons a lot. For example when doing a +4/8 farm (I use map #10890 for s/l farm btw) my HP will drop real fast during the alpha strike period so right after I'm done doing my build up rotation, I press Ablative Carapace and DNA Siphon to get back up to full then it doesn't move for the rest of the enemy cluster
  23. Well Lincoln is old enough to be public domain at this point 😛
  24. Kick/Boxing does have some value as IO set mule though, the classic 4pc Kinetic Combat in particular
