  1. Arc of Destruction from stealth.... /em drool
  2. They are pinned in the Beta forums https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/57-homecoming-beta/
  3. Stalkers do really well solo. The whole archetype revolves around being able to take out big baddies really fast. Stalker is the Villain analogue to the Scrapper and it all revolves around stealthing around and executing priority targets which makes them into great solo characters. So you can just hop into a mission, stealth to the boss and crit him into oblivion and move on to the next mission. They have much more control over their critical hits than Scrappers do but they give up some of their AoE powers to do so. What makes them tick is that any attack you execute while in stealth will have a guaranteed critical, combined with a stacking combo point like system that gives you 33.33% stacking crit chance for your assassin strike with every attack you do out of stealth. There are some shenanigans you can do with this stealth mechanic such as with telenukes (Lightning Rod from Electric Melee and Shield Charge from Shield Melee for example). You can telenuke into a pack while stealthed, doing damage and the telenuke won't break your stealth so you can backstab on top of the telenuke, great times !
  4. Bio armor is a really fun hybrid set that has taunt aura, damage aura and offensive mode for a 25% damage boost on top. Just make sur eyou put minimal FX unless you want your costume to be a crab lobster hybrid
  5. I was kinda disappointed with the Force of Will travel power. I was thinking the secondary power was something akin to Super Speed, like the way Sorcery gets Fly and Teleport. Turns out its more like.... Accelerated Metabolism level of speed boost - noticeable but not that hot
  6. You would not break any copyright law but you would break server rules : 3. 7. Arc of Destruction is your highest damaging AoE attack and it really merits a higher spot on that rotation. The way I have it set up on my scrapper (although bear in mind that I am playing around a critical strikes proc in Titan Sweep) is: 1 - Titan Sweep 2 - Arc of Destruction 3 - Whirling Smash 4 - Defensive Sweep 5 - Rend Armor 6 - Follow Through 7 - Crushing Blow I rarely even use Defensive Sweep, although I used to extensively in my #1 slot all through the leveling process. It's mostly there to open fights when a large group is incoming to bolster my melee defenses or when another groups adds into the group I am fighting (it's not even slotted, just with a single Luck of the Gambler +haste). I like having TS, AoD and WS next to each other in the rotation because they all have a sick knockdown effect and I like to see the mobs get smacked down over and over XD For the single target part of the I open with Rend Armor because it has a -def component to it and I want the other 2 powers to benefit from it. My initial rotation pre 50 was: 1 - DS 2 - TS 3 - AoD 4 - WS 5 - RA 6 - FT 7 - CB (This was the last attack I picked up from the set at level 44)
  8. Titan Weapon is the king of cones ! The set boasts 3 cones a pbaoe and 3 single target attacks, you even get the first (lackluster damage wise but still a cone) at level 1 ! TW/Bio is my favorite character, the first I got to 50 and the first I tricked up with an IO build. One thing to note about TW is that it is VERY endurance hungry so pairing it with a set that has a lot on endurance management is key. Bio Armor and Radiation Armor compliment the set very well.
  9. I know that feel hehe, I was on alt page 3 before I found which character I wanted to get to 50 ! Like others said though, Merits are not well spent on ATOs since they are not that expensive. Just pick up the proc/passive (depending on AT) ones and frankenslot them into one of your powers and you will get a crazy boost in effectiveness
  10. What set gives max end ? Meaning that will bring your end pool to over 100 ? As far as I know there are only accolades that do this but I am very interested to know if any sets do this too.
  11. SD is a very good set, that being said, I usually skip the Grant Cover power. All it does is give defense to your teammates with nothing for yourself and it has a short range on top of that, like your allies need to be practically on top of you to get the benefit. You COULD get it at 49 if you have a floating power and you wanted an extra Luck of the Gambler mule though but I would only get that after Maneuvers (you know the power that gives +def to your team AND yourself...)
  12. You can actually do both, slot Musculature in Alpha and Assault in Hybrid for +dmg and Ageless in Destiny for near infinite end
  13. Actually, it's not as bad as you think. The first run of DFB will get you to level 7 so you could just stop there and do the 5-10 Atlas Park Safeguard. After you get done with that you will probably be good to skip over to Kings Row at 10. No need to bot or pray you find someone actually doing those missions at lower levels. I'm in the "I don't care about badges unless they give me stats" camp personally so I just skip the bank missions on blue. SOs are...pretty awful here since we can craft IOs that don't expire. Once I get to level 22 and can equip the level 25 IOs, I go ahead and fill my slots with those and keep them in place until level 50 just filling in the new slots every 5 levels while I level up. It *is* pretty expensive, about 2.5 mill inf at level 22. You can quite easily get that kind of money solo by that level by selling your rare (orange) salvage drops for 500k a piece, and by converting the merit rewards you get from various exploration badges, story arcs and task forces. If you look on the Merit Vendors you can find Enhancement Boosters, Enhancement Converters and other sell-able items that you can flip on the /ah. About these flippable items, it's generally a better value to flip all your merits to influence on the /ah and bid on enhancements there instead of buying the enhancements directly from the merit vendor.
  14. Very interesting ! I will be getting one of these for my Demons tonight 🙂
  15. I find my enjoyment not from soloing content...with 1 character, but with dragging 3 accounts around at the same time so that I can get 3x the reward merits from completing the TF. One follows me around (Sonic/whatever Defender) and buffs me and the other door camps the final mission for the rewards.
  16. Honestly though, you COULD just run Death from Below and be done with the boring lower levels in a flash and get into the meat and potatoes of the game in like 1 hour. I really love playing this game but being stuck spamming brawl and having no enhancements in my slots is not my idea of a good time. Once you get level 12, start running posi1/2 and have an actual rotation that doesn't include level 1 generic powers (except maybe sands of mu) is where the fun really begins for me.
  17. At level 6 you have access to Jacob's Ladder, while not being the best power in the game (long animation) it should be miles better than brawl, air superiority or boxing/kick because pool power attacks have a different (much lower) damage scaling value than your main AT attacks. Also don't be fooled by it saying it's a cone...which it is, it's just that it's a very narrow and short cone (even more so than sands of mu) and I personally view it as a single target attack that sometimes can hit 2 or rarely 3 targets. I wouldn't skip any of the powers in Electric Melee while leveling up. Since you will be soloing I would even take Taunt since it has the added benefit of reducing the attack range of attackers, Those pesky casters and archer types will need to come in close to be able to attack you. Once at 32 and you have access to all your powers, you can probably drop Jacob's ladder/taunt. I'm not too familiar with /electric armor so I won't pronounce myself too much but looking at the powerset online, I wouldn't skip any of the powers in that set either. Boxing/kick is a must for every melee type because it opens the way for Tough and Weave which are both very good. I usually use Boxing/kick as an IO set mule (Notably Kinetic Combat set which is affordable and has good 4 piece set bonuses) . If you don't plan to mule a set into it, I would go for Kick since you can frankenslot a Force Feedback Chance for + Recharge for when you are recharge debuffed
  18. I really dislike the Focused Accuracy power, the effect is fine for what it does but it drains something like 0.75 end which is HUGE, depending on the set that end drain is equivalent to all of your AT toggles combined... Blind does suck but it isn't really something that is common enough to warrant something like focused accuracy to combat it. Like you said Soul Mastery, or possibly Mu Mastery if you want a bit more damage instead of the debuff from Soul, will get you a lot more mileage than Energy.
  19. Getting a suit of Generic lvl 25 IOs at level 22 will run you around 2.5 million inf. New players might wonder how in the love of Statesman can you get that kind of inf ? Well starting at level 10 (iirc) you will start to get Invention Salvage and Invention Recipe drops from enemies you kill (You can see these from the "Salvage" and "Recipe" buttons above your powers bar). Recipes are hit and miss as to which are worth something so it's a good idea to look them up on the /ah (just type /ah in the chat window) to see if they are worth crafting or just vendoring, typically only pieces that have procs or passive auras are worth something. As for the Salvage you will get Rare (Orange) salvage that can be sold on the /ah for 500,000 inf each. Selling these will easily let you get a full set of level 25 IOs quite early, possibly not right at level 22 but easily before level 30. Hope this helps !
  20. Why not add another Performance Shifter proc into your Physical Perfection ? If you are actually using that Focused Accuracy toggle you will need all the endo you can get
  21. Very interesting. I was looking around the IOs for my new MM and I was wandering about this ! thanks for clearing it up Currently I have only purchased the +res/+def auras to frankenslot while I level up but I think I will get this one too
  22. Well of course any secondary can be built to be extremely tanky at level 50 with proper IOing. As a straight leveling up character with only level 25 IOs fire is most definitely one of the least durable secondaries
  23. How would a /Dark MM do in this regard ? /Dark has some -to hit, some - res and some - regen and a single target hold. Just curious as I have recently rolled a Demon/Dark and it seems /Dark has all the aforementioned points covered
  24. YES MORE SCYTHES !! Something like this one
  25. TW is an extremely endo hungry set. One rotation with all 4 aoe powers can easily eat up close to half your bar. I really don't think that having 3x performance shifters and the 2 other end procs in health is overkill at all.
