  1. I was thinking about this the other day, and I imagine it should be more like when a real person walks through a real crowd, you actively twist and bend to get around people without bumping into them. You don't just collide and push them out of the way (except on accident, typically). Same thing when walking through a house or in the woods. You'll occasionally trip on something or bump into furniture, but you rarely snag on a chair, unable to move, until backing up and retrying. I think it'd be an improvement if more things were somewhat "intangible" to imitate a normal, not to mention Super, person's ability to easily move past an obstacle.
  2. Mako's patron arc is the most ruthless of the 4. I think it was the toughest, too.
  3. Plus you get lots of time to type in chat! Shadow Maul on my Bio/Dark tank recharges so fast I use it instead of stronger attacks because it hits so many critters.
  4. I love me some Fire Breath. I take it on every toon that can get it. I don't care that it's kinda slow, narrow, and doesn't have great range, I just love blowing fire at the badguys and watching the burn. What's your favorite sub-optimal power that you play purely for fun?
  5. That'd be cool. I'd also like more, big blunt sticks.
  6. How about a giant chicken with Eochai on Jack's shoulders?
  7. I've been debating re-rolling my EM/Shield Scrapper as a Tank, because even though the Scrapper is soft-capped to everything it still takes so much damage I had to make a special "combine all insps into greens" to keep him alive. But I can't have all my toons as Tanks, can I? Variety is the spice of something or other? Besides I have a Shield/Stone and it's a total blast and I don't want to hurt its feelings.. On the other hand I've been almost exclusive on the Bio/Dark melee Tank. It's a royal blast, Shadow Maul is a nearly 360 degree cone, and I just love the "SLURP" sound FX of the Bio buffs. With the damage aura, it's how I want Dark/Dark to be and how I tinted the Bio auras.
  8. Does it really though? Every bank mission I've done is "Get to the bank, defeat a boss and some minions." What are the more complicated missions? I haven't done every side mission at every level, but most of them seemed to be "Go into a building and defeat some mobs" or "Go into a building, defeat some mobs and click some glowies." Are those the missions that become more complicated?
  9. It's funny that you can do Tips in any zone and get missions equal to your level. I don't know which came first, and why the second didn't get level/zone locked.
  10. Same, I always take the ST immob for containment and low-endurance-cost damage. If the damage could be front-loaded, that'd be great. What would be fantastic is if it could do at least 50% damage up front, and also keep doing DoT for as long as the immob lasts. So if a person used an immob set that boosts duration by 60%, the DoT continues for the entire time. That'd help against tough targets, being able to stack that with containment. Earth's immob needs a damage boost.
  11. There's a few different types of hostages in the game, and not knowing which one your mission has, and how it relates to the mission objective, can make a mission really frustrating. From what I've observed, hostages can be: Indestructible; only need to defeat the spawn around the hostage in order to meet objective. Indestructible; need to defeat the spawn around the hostage and then stand next to the hostage, in order to meet objective. Example: Second mission of Penny Yin TF. Need to defeat spawn, then stand next to the hostage in order for them to be "rescued" Defeatable hostage; need to defeat spawn without getting hostage killed. Mako patron arc has a timed mission where you are supposed to save some hostages but I didn't even realize they were in the spawn until they were defeated. Had to wait for the timer to run out because it wasn't possible to succeed or fail the mission after the hostages were defeated. Hostages that need to be escorted to the door. Can be Indestructible or Defeatable. But you don't know which until they get in an ambush or spawn. Most Radio missions have an indestructible hostage that needs to be led to the mission entrance. Hostages that need to be escorted somewhere else in the mission. Can be Indestructible or Defeatable. But you don't know which until they get in an ambush or spawn. Some can be teleported; some can't. Amy Jonsson - Indestructible, can't be targeted, can't be teleported, has to be escorted to the door but often gets stuck in the map. Not knowing how much work it would be, could a description of the hostage, or list of attributes, be added to the mission text? Example:

  13. With Dark Melee, go SR. Then you get self-heal and end recovery that SR doesn't have, plus max defense and DDR. With most other primaries I'd go Nin for the self-heal and endurance recovery.
  14. How about on an ITF when most things are Bosses or Elite Bosses? Just throw out some blasts, hold some Surgeons, and hope for the best?
  15. Another OG here, Ninja Surprise was Ill/TA on live and a royal hoot to play. I took TA purely to set up containment for Ill, and I got the Taser origin power to light Oil Slick. On Homecoming you can start with any origin and have P2W switch your inherent to one that does energy damage. Great idea lighting it with procs in Acid Arrow though! This is a fun combo. Command the battlefield from inside your invisible field!
  16. On that note, I've long been annoyed with how the elemental melee sets have half the attacks in an elemental form and half in a perfect scimitar shape. Wish I could just pick a flaming (or ice or psi) broadsword for every attack, or a flaming fist + fire/frost breath for every attack to have them match.
  17. Everyone who enters Ouro spawns at the glowing exit. Lots of people zone in and just stand there, waiting for Trials or teams to form and start. This royally clogs up the exit. Can the entry spot be moved, maybe to the middle of the reflecting pool or to one of the floating islands? That'd get a lot of people out of the way of the door. Different suggestion: Can the point of view be reversed when traveling through a portal like the Base portal or RWZ portal from the RWZ base to the outside zone? (Not sure if this is dictated by camera settings) Currently when you click the glowing blue pillar, it puts you in the new zone with the vantage of running forward out of the pillar, with the pillar now behind my toon. Just often enough to be annoying, when I try to mouse-steer and run away from the pillar I accidentally click on it again and go back where I came from. Not a huge deal if I was near a base beacon but if I just used my vet power I now can't get back in for 10 minutes and am sad. With the camera reversed, like exiting a door, it's easier to steer and go somewhere else. Please save me from sadness and replace with holiday joy!
  18. I'll add this: The S/Avalance Chance for Knockdown in DNA Siphon is hilarious. Feels like Shield Charge on a faster recharge and with a saturated Soul Drain it regularly one-shots minions.
  19. I just re-read my post and didn't see that claim in there anywhere so I have no idea what you're arguing about. To be clear: Empathy is a powerset and Resurrect is the name of Emp's rez power. It is not a wakie inspiration. I made the suggestion for the power "Add a post-rez buff to defense/status protection so the target isn't a useless punching bag". This would be useful in battles where the enemies are throwing out mez like halloween candy and prevent the "Rez! held... dead" thing Looks like you just caught up with the purpose of the suggestion thread! Make the rez's better so you have a buffer of time to help out the team before it wipes!
  20. If things are bad enough that someone gets defeated... if you can't get out of danger and retoggled in 2 seconds it's because you got stomped back into the dirt again. Like yesterday I was doing a test solo ITF with a Energy/Ninjitsu Scrapper. Got defeated by an ambush that caught up at a new crystal. I popped the self-rez that does a big knockback and applies a set of Big Insps but there were so many critters they didn't all KB and before I could get two toggles up I was smashed again. A standard level 50 melee character would have at least 10 seconds worth of toggles to turn on and plenty of toggles root you so you can't move while activating... Empathy: Resurrect Add a post-rez buff to defense/status protection so the target isn't a useless punching bag with full HP/Endurance.
  21. Can we get this type of FX as a customization for Shield Defense? My little EM/Shield Scrapper there has the Energy shield customized to try to match the Pom Poms of Doom, but oh boy it'd be great to have small glowie shields on each arm. Particularly if making them light gray turned them nigh-invisible for a hacked minimal-FX option. As far as power animations, this shield could use the standard animations that go with non-shield armor sets. And hopefully the non-shield female taunt sfx too.
  22. I want an AR alt-animation that uses Breath of Fire so my Mutant AR Blaster can spit bullets at badguys.
  23. Clarification to this and answering my own question in case anyone else is wondering: Fold Space works thus: it's a 100 foot radius (200' diameter) PBAoE power. Upon activating it finds 16 enemies within line of sight inside the circle and teleports them right underneath you. Annoyingly, it works the same way as when a team exits a door mission: everyone plopping out on the same spot, pushing each other out of the way. So sometimes when I'd activate it (on an ITF vs all the Nictus enemies in the second cave map to gather all the fluffies and squids together) I would get pushed out of the spawn off to the side, sliding ever further, until I moved my toon to the side and jumped back into the spawn. Line of sight is pretty strict, so examples of when it didn't pull critters I could clearly see: Standing in an open map on one side of a fence, critters on the other side of the fence weren't pulled. Standing in Atlas Park on one of the raised sidewalks next to a building, it didn't pull critters on a lower sidewalk. So to answer another poster's question about whether it would pull critters inside a building map in an adjacent room but where you can't see them, no, it won't (unless bugged).
  24. Ice goes pretty great with Stone Melee, like a snowball full of rocks.
  25. How does it know what enemies to pull if you don't target or select anything? Does it just grab any enemies visible on screen? Is that what it means by line of sight, you just click Fold Space and any visible enemy is TP'd to you?
