I was looking at my build in Mids and it seemed off.  I went in game and it was way off.  This is one of my first characters that I took to 50 and I basically parked it and never finished the incarnates.  I have a bunch of 50s and am now going back to these characters to play through the DA arcs and finish the incarnates.  After looking at the build I would probably update it to the following build.  I think this new build will likely provide some flexibility in incarnate selection.  The endurance issues may not be as bad with the additional End/Rech IO in my defense toggles, so I may have the flexibility to take Rebirth for the healing instead of Ageless for End.  I was also able to boost S/L resist to 50+, so this build should be very survivable.  Once I get Blessing of Tielekku my positional defenses will all be 50+.  I'm looking forward to playing through the incarnates.  I will alternate this guy with my Stj/Inv stalker I am leveling, so should be a good comparison.

EA is really easy to softcap Dark also with just one Energy Drain. 

 

Energy drain makes a great defense debuff cushion also.

TBH, I don't see the appeal of SR at all. Outside of being safer against psionics (which really isn't that important for a non-tank AT), /EA has the same recharge bonus that SR provides, and energize is just so good for stalkers providing a huge permanent endurance discount, a heal, and regeneration buff. /EA also has enough defense-IO slot opportunities to slot 5 lotg + a set of reactive defenses. I use a set of blistering cold to shore up my defense numbers because I almost never cast energy drain, but even without it, you barely need anything to softcap defenses and have great passive resistances and regen to back them up.

 

This is the build I run, which features 138.8% set bonus recharge + 20% recharge from entropic shield, and perma hasten (228.75% global recharge), which is enough recharge to hit the 400% cap on AS (3 sec cd) and Crushing Uppercut (5 sec cd) during forcefeedback proc or Geas accolade (which has an insanely low cooldown with that much global recharge). Base buff provides an additional 20% recharge or the common speed boost on teams puts you at or near the recharge cap frequently. The build also has quite a few moveable slots, as I put a number of them into runspeed and jumpspeed, and as I said already the blistering cold set isnt necessary (you can move the ATO set in shin breaker to Heavy Blow and then proc out Shin Breaker for a higher damage build), building an /EA stalker is extremely flexible because of how easy it is to softcap, and that it has effectively infinite endurance, a recharge buff, and heal.

I've been messing with this build all day and it's driving me crazy! lol

 

I plan on eventually running incarnate content.  This toon will not be examplaring down so, no attuned enhancements.

 

I'd considered taking a stab at the Pylon testing since I've never tried it but I don't think I can achieve the best amount of damage without sacrificing survivability.  I may have to finally slot my SJ/Bio Stalker for that.

 

It's configured so that Hide is showing the "attacked" value.

 

Relative enhancement levels are set to+5.

 

Perma Hasten just barely.

 

S/L Resist at 50.3

 

I feel like this build is ridiculous (in a bad way) even though the numbers seem good to me.  Does anyone have any advice?

Highly recommend it, there's an endgame where you can softcap S/L/E/N/F/C/M and cap S/L resist with barrier T4 and have IH-level regeneration with the Sandman's proc in the sleep aura (which also gives you significant damage boosts due to Stalker crits on sleeping targets!) while also yourself having great regen.

 

It also gives two decent AOEs that while it may not be Burn, will certainly give you a decent mileage against a pack of foes.

This!!!

StJ/Bio is amazing on a Stalker.

You will not regret it.

I used the build that @Lockpick posted above and changed a couple of things around a tiny bit.

 

I was able to drop the Leadership pool, which I hadn't even considered!  Thanks, @Lockpick !  I also tried your slotting for SC, SS and CU, and dropped the Winter sets I had in there.

 

I lost a bit of def but made up some res, rech, regen and dam while reducing my end drain.  

 

Does this look a bit more reasonable compared to my other build?

I don’t have a build for you, but can give you some general build advice. Keep in mind this is my opinion and there are probably plenty who would disagree. 
 

Even though it is possible to do so, I would not try to softcap all the typed defenses. Doing so will require you to use up a lot of your slots and set bonuses on defenses, which in turn will neuter your global recharge potential and proc options. I would do the following instead:

- shoot for capped s/l resists (or as close to it as you can get). 
- get to 40% for energy/negative defenses. You will likely have very little resistance for energy damage so you need to get it softcapped. 

-if you have the budget slot up the purples for that sweet recharge and also get fire resistance to boot. F/C damage is more rare, but you will have some defense and resist for it. 
- Take barrier destiny, which will get you the last bit to softcap for energy/negative. If you want to pick a different destiny you’ll have to get to softcap for E/N without it. 
-You are then free to take musculature alpha and assault hybrid. 
 

I used to love bio armor, but then gave up on it because I was destroying my offensive potential by chasing softcaps, which defeated the whole purpose of going bio armor. I have recently started getting back into it with the general guidelines above.  My bio scrappers and stalkers now shoot have the following, which has made me enjoy it much more:

-resist capped s/l with whatever defense comes as a byproduct of my other slotting goals

-softcapped e/n defense (with barrier)

- f/c defense and resist both at a moderate level

-damage procs in all my main attacks

-within a few seconds of perma hasten

-quick recharge on my each of my sustain clicks. 
-I don’t usually take shadow meld because I haven’t found that I need it. If I  do take it it is used as a mule.

The big thing that leveled up my bio armor game was not chasing the use of DNA Siphon or Parasitic Aura as proc-bombs, preferentially using Parasitic Aura as my first mitigation, and trying to make sure there where 5+ dead bodies around when I used DNA siphon for the enduring regen bonus.  At first, I tended to use DNA Siphon just as a heal or as a proc-bomb, and doing that really leaves you with a lot less regen than you can get otherwise.  I also tended to use Parasitic Aura as a panic button due to its longer cooldown, but it's not great when it only hits half the spawn (because the other half are dead).

 

I do take Shadow Meld (but just one-slotted with lotg) to have one more reserve way to deal with tough enemies.

 

If you maximize the mitigation that you get out of your defensive clickies, you don't need capped defenses and, as @Saikochoro says, concentrate on doing high ddamage.

I made a StJ/Shield and it's alot of fun to play. I'd consider it a tight build going for survivability while fully slotting for damage and not requiring ageless to function. Spend a shitload of money on it to chase recharge bonuses, endurance recovery, and softcapping at least ranged and melee, and it's an absolute monster. Room for the soul snipe and fade as a small panic button which actually helps alot. People criticize fade, but street justice is capable of wiping out both bosses in a group in that 12 second window and then throwing a high damage aoe to clear smaller stuff, if you can survive the alpha and take out the biggest sources of damage you can solo pretty much anything. AV tanking usually requires one with the shield or some inspirations. But you can put out enough single target damage to often shred an AV before one with the shield is up, and if incarnates are involved at all you're a legit demigod of single target damage with a good bit of aoe you can throw out if you aim it right. And with shield charge on a 25-30 second cooldown, clearing trash isn't super irritating.
