More leveling as a goal is contra-indicated here. I can understand it from that perspective. I took it to mean the missions during leveling and not the actual ding-ing. If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
Marine X Posted yesterday at 09:14 AM Posted yesterday at 09:14 AM Ouroboros missions have always been my favorite way to find something to do. If you go to the Pillar, click on a mission range, then see all the Story Arcs that are not marked in Gold, it shows how much you haven't done with that Character. Many are ones you outleveled, some have badges, some are retired content, but I really enjoy a lot of those Arcs. For every contact choice you make, there was probably another choice you could have made, and this is a way to see what that would be like. " When it's too tough for everyone else, it's just right for me..." ( Unless it's Raining, or Cold, or Really Dirty or there are Sappers, Man I hate those Guys...) Marine X

I'm working on badge hunting ATM but what are some easy to do things I can do that are not leveling or task forces until my burnout with leveling has passed? Basically due to your saying that you dont want to devote time to other activities in game and want only easy things, you're narrowing down your possibilities as most of the content of the game revolves around the things you say you dont want to do. 1. You dont want to roleplay. 2. You likely dont have a farmer toon built yet for influence farming. 3. You'd likely not want to perfect lowbie money making methods either. 4. Base building likely isnt your cup of tea. 5. You'd (Currently) probably not want to try to get the best scores on the ice slides in the chalet xmas area. 6. You'd probably not want to farm candy canes from present hunting, or other similar holiday activities. 7. You'd also probably not want to stand around under atlas and troll general chat. 8. You'd almost guaranteed not want to teach new players how to play the game either. List goes on but my take on this is that really there's nothing that is going to suit you because your wants more or less outside of your current badge hunting mentionings, arent really matching the reality of what it entails to play the game. *shrug*

That sort of contradicts your original statement that you dont have the time to devote to playing another game. I suspect you got Return to Moria (yes I've played it) and if so, you're going to find it tedious by about midway in the game 😛

Yea it's return to moria. It's free.
Andreah Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago One thing you can do it run a few pick-up-group radio missions. Even if you don't have a lot of time, you could advertise a "quick-couple-missions radio team" and fill almost any time of day. Advertise them as "RP" or "RP-friendly" and you'll get get some lite RP chatter too. You'll have some fun, get some drops, vet/incarnate xp, meet people, put villains in the lockup, etc.,
Ukase Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I have felt this way before...and really it was just about the latest patch with the name policy began to be implemented that I decided to simply play my level 50 fire/natty. I am somewhere around vet level 38 or so. Got about 1220 badges or so. Somewhere around 200 hero merits. And the inf keeps rolling in. When you don't make alts, you don't have to sweat farming or marketing. Just do the stuff that might be interesting on a given day. A break from CoH isn't the worst plan. Just be sure to check in for new content so you don't miss anything. 1

Tomorrow morning thinking of doing an RP ouro arc 1
Oubliette_Red Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago One thing I do is hit areas that in general are rarely visited. Just the other night a friend and I were running Max's arc in Dark Astoria and I know I've played through all the content back during legacy, I honestly cannot recall these missions so it was new and shinny in a Dark Astoria kind of way. Also, while it's generally kind of a ghost town I enjoy playing through Praetoria content either solo or teaming with a friend or two. While I never really could get back into RP'ing in HC I liked to play my Praetorians as though I were, so they would usually stick to a path with regards to their Gold-sider alignment, like my ex-Shredder that offered up her crew to Neuron in order to get jacked up herself to become more powerful. Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx? Check out Michiyo's modder or Solerverse's thread. Got a punny character? You should share it.

I'm working on badge hunting ATM but what are some easy to do things I can do that are not leveling or task forces until my burnout with leveling has passed? I do a few different things, sometimes in combination. 0) I'm pretty good at pacing myself, so I try to be aware of what 2XP, Patrol XP, etc. can do if I am trying to do specific content. I mention this only because if there are later levels of the game you want to go through faster, you may want to hold off on collecting Patrol XP from exploration badges until those later levels. 1) I do zone arcs, either at-level or via flashback. These are all pretty well-contained and good for solo play. Blue side has more of these, the red side arcs from a similar era are also good, but they tend to have more zone hopping (even on short arcs). 2) For lower level characters: If my character has an AoE, and somewhat has Endurance under control, I'll solo whatever content I have handy but at a difficultly like -1x4. The ToHit mechanics mean taking fewer hits on the chin, but there are more enemies to deal with. It makes content a little bit more of a mad scramble while leveling up.
Ironblade Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago 15 hours ago, Pleonast said: Leveling is just something that happens. It’s not a goal in its own right. 15 hours ago, UltraAlt said: I strongly disagree with this statement. Cool. For me, leveling is almost never the goal, but I always want to have *A* goal. It might be a badge. It might getting a particular incarnate salvage. I have characters built for helping on incarnate trials - they're already fully finished and tier 4, but they still have a goal. And, to be fair, sometimes I do have a goal of leveling - like if I want to be high enough for a certain task force that will be featured the next week. I find it fun to have a variety of goals. Originally on Infinity. I have Ironblade on every shard. - My only AE arc: The Origin of Mark IV (ID 48002) Link to the story of Toggle Man, since I keep having to track down my original post.
