  1. iirc, a couple of the contacts won't let you just walk up to them at level 8,9,19,29. The hardest thing about doing the full Praetoria are the contacts that get taken out by choices during other arcs. I did find one trick that works for those missions that have you talk to a dead contact is that you use the Oro portal to start the missing contact's arc, port to them, then quit the arc. They'll stick around letting you talk to them. Of course, that once works once you hit level 14

I've played Stalkers thru Praetoria a few times (including one that was doing the Iron Challenge with no deaths) The ambushes can be annoying, but around 1/2 the ambushes wind up not agroing on you. They go right to you, but don't attack if you are stealthed or hidden. Currently playing a corrupter thru it. Just at level 7 right now.   4. Happily running CoH via Lutris/Wine on Linux. This is on a fairly beefy 2016 laptop. I'm in the midst of replacing it since it's showing it's age in some HW failures. (USB ports, Bluetooth, wifi are all flaking out, and the usual battery having zero life) One of my other laptops, a 2012 Dell used to have win7 and ran CoH ok. I've since converted it to Linux and there is a slight performance drop, so that one is just going to be my travel one. (For a ten year old laptop, it's in good shape)

  6. One of my chars hovers faster than a base flight pack, but obtained thru using more slots than some would want to use. When flying, very fast, but still can't cross a zone on one application of afterburner. That one needs to last a bit longer and/or have a shorter recharge. (no timer would be nicest) Teleport benefited the most from the travel update with the longer hangtime. Binding it to the mice works very nicely and the only drawback is I often overshoot my targets while crossing a zone. Superjump, I don't use the double jump as much since I enjoy trying to bounce off various roofs on my way across the zone. I have nothing to add about superspeed since it's my least used travel power. The closest I use is Siphon Speed on my Kins.
  7. Smoke grenade is easy to work against with a yellow inspiration, so I vote no on that. Vanguard Curse, while super annoying, easy to prep for with the temp power, and five minutes is nothing compared to what it used to be. (30 min iirc?)

  10. Just checked and yes, clues, etc.... all disappear on an AE mission. (Except AE souvenirs) I suspect the same with a TF & Flashback
  11. I'm currently doing that with one of my characters. I think this is my fifth try and being hypervigilant in not outleveling. Only at level 7 so far after a month.
  12. DB/WP Scrapper is my badger. Once I rebuilt them, they're nearly unstoppable as long as I'm careful about Cascading Def Failure.

  14. I tend to hit "Unread Content" and check what sounds interesting. That was certainly a thread.
  15. Looks like the thread is spinning around the drain now. I find SR works great on the could chars I have with it, though I do have an aversion to t9s that crash that hard. My tank zipped up to 50 really quick using the DFB->TFs->ITF method, and did a couple Quarterfields where the eyes suck, but if they get taken out quick, everything else is fine...

  17. I was just about to log that I saw "You Taunt Abomination with your Fury." in my combat log just now. And yes, it's on my Scrapper with Energy Aura and Entropic is the taunt aura, so... I also noted some oddness with when I get noticed, even when I'm cloaked, and I'm pretty sure I'm not in range of my aura normally, but I haven't verified that.
  18. Looks like this bug is still active. I'm guessing that whatever used to despawn the non-enemy version is broken.
  19. I did find it quite hilarious getting stunned by one group and drifting thru two others before face planting from the extra attention.
  20. For example: Incan is handy for the Keyes trial, and harmful on the Underground. My chars tend to wind up with each Destiny eventually. Sometimes a couple different Alphas and Judgements. Some Lores work better in different situations
  21. Might be a little terminology being mixed? I've had plenty of times where to get a badge in the PvP zones, there would be a PvP trying to smack people. And if you announce that you're going to run a team to get the AV badges in Recluse, there will be a few people wanting to disrupt that. Sure, they're within their rights, but it's not like mutual fun is being had.
  22. I like to think of my fire/time blaster as a cast iron blaster. Nothing sticks unless someone uses soap and water on her.
  23. Oh yea. My 2011 laptop was having issues because the new NVidia driver would not work with my card, so had to downgrade my driver. This was on Linux.

  25. I consider Sentinels really nice low key chars that when they got introduced were made to definitely not be overpowered so that they didn't have to be pruned down to be reasonable. I do think a buff is warranted and I'd prefer a different mechanism to Opportunity, but I they're very playable as is. And really a nice beginner or casual AT to play.
