  1. Did I mention I was building a new system? It arrived and it's being annoying, I'll be using some more curse words and other arcane means on it this weekend. Once it's up and running, respec time!

  4. For some reason, Q zone hopping doesn't bug me as much as Citadel's back and forth between Talos & IP. Numina's doesn't bug me in that it's a pathed journey and the team can split up to deal with it.
  5. I'm buying up popcorn shares for that. I'm predicting that procs will be changed the day after I finally get around to making a proc heavy build.

  8. This won't be a very well constructed comment <then why comment?> Three hours sleep and needing to pad some time before I can go home and maybe nap... It does seem like the same people sniping at each other. I used to develop & moderate for a free online game. It's rough seeing your decisions constantly second guessed and wild ass theories being touted as the reason. And trying to explain stuff usually didn't have the effect you though it would. (Heck, the code was open source) Herding cats is easier. (I should know, I "work" in cat rescue. Work in quotes, since I don't get paid) I don't agree with all of their decisions, but there's no denying they put a lot of work into HC and they wouldn't do it if they didn't love some aspects of it.
  9. Yea, I do very similar, though with my altitis I wind up with a lot of low level recipes that are cheap to craft, convert, and sell at good profit.
  10. He did say most. My fire/time/scorpion blaster spends 90% of the time outside of melee range. Inferno is the only melee range I have on them. On the other hand, I have blappers that are just fine with cutting in close. though most of those have rise of the phoenix in heavy rotation. In any case, why are we arguing about this in a Sentinel thread? Ah, the 100% at range comment. Meh, not quite. Yea, there's some heavy hitting on the secondaries, but it's optional.
  11. Finished getting the 10 Aether for 109 characters, only two that haven't are Praetorians. That's enough for my badger, and the couple mini modes I want on a couple chars
  12. Thanks for the thread. Helped me make sure my critters were giving full XP. I did note with my bosses, that if I didn't have Cremate, I still showed 100% XP, but it definitely gave less. Once I added that back in, full XP. My main farm char is a spines/fire brute. Still does well, but also built for doing outside stuff, so I haven't had to modify. Can run +4/x8, just have to be aware of how many EBs I pull now. For some reason, Rad isn't a fun power set for me, but I'm also not going for full DPS mode.

  14. Did you resummon your pets after joining the team? I forget the details, but I noticed my pets were still at my old level when I joined a team the other day
  15. I've run a bunch of characters via Praetoria. Occasionally just wanted that origin and then leveled to 20 in AE. Though done a few where I ran all the content before leaving and have one perma-Praetorian. The leveling guide is very handy for that. I've done almost all Praetoria solo. It would be nice if there was a 40-50 zone for them. Maybe based out of the island refuge that is in the Marchand arc? Arcs could focus on rescuing people in Praetoria, getting bits of tech or lore out, etc... Though would be good to revamp the alignments or have another level 40 or 50 mission arc that is similar to the level 20 mission, but more focused on now that Praetoria is more a dead zone.
  16. I've been cycling thru characters, mostly 50s and the time spent to get the Prismatic badges have been wildly different. Anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. The longer times seem to be when there's some AFK MMs hanging out, but it really depends on what your team is doing to contribute. Fastest times seem to be my AOE blasters, followed by AOE melee, last place with my least DPS chars. Though the numbers change if my team has a DPS type blasting everything. Only six more to go!
  17. I think the reason that the bug existed that long is that they didn't really care about the farming XP, but wanted to rein it in a bit. First change seemed to cut XP, and then much later, the weird math popped out and got fixed.

  19. I've been building machines since the 80s. I'm not sure if I have found a laptop that I didn't curse at some design decisions. Though I'm glad I don't have to play with jumpers anymore. (Or solder in my own stuff, but that was some early gen AIX boxes...) On the other hand, I haven't built a system for years (huh, think my system from 2016 was originally done in 2006, but upgraded a lot) Going to be ordering bits next week, though I should get another laptop for supplemental purposed. (And everything gets Linux anyway)
  20. Costumes show on that sort of thing in a lot of the personal arcs, but they can be fairly entertaining. That bit where combat starts when all your toggles are off is pretty hectic. It would be nice if everything suppressed instead. In the meantime, we had better success if the mission holder went to the end by themselves and got teleported back at the start of combat. Another option would be to fire off incan which creates a safe zone for a little bit.

  22. Yep. It's a better example of feature creep. I think a better designed selling system might be in order, but I do wonder how much of the code is shared between player trades, auction house, vendors, etc... I think the ability to check off a bunch of items and then hit "Sell all clicked items" with a verification OK might be the way to go, but it's a lot more complicated to code currently.
  23. It's been awhile, but my Seismic Blaster was knocking the Mino & Cyclops around. I'll have to check to see if it still does. I did see that Meteor has the same KB with Sentinals that the Blasters have, so could be interesting.
  24. I don't tend to build maxed out characters, so ROP isn't often taken for my characters. The melee types normally hit caps easily enough. My blasters tend to go for defense if they're going for any sort of survival, but I tend to just lean into damage for them. Defenders that need to go into the scrum such as kinetics, they sometimes pick it up. And it's usually only if it thematically fits.
